Lets look at this quote first. Sandaime was killed by his protege. Oro was "killed" by his. How is that so unbelievable?
Sandaime put up an effin' fight that's what! If Sandaime had lost as easily as Orochimaru did we'd be calling THAT fight BS as well instead of epic. Orochimaru beats his teacher who during that same fight gave him a lot of trouble yet he loses easily to Sasuke with hardly any effort at all? I don't see how you can't find that unbelievable.
@dlo62282:
Yeah until he makes up his mind to do something else. Why is this so hard to understand? I guess all Naruto got going for him is to become Hokage. All Luffy got going for him is to be pirate king.
Except that Sasuke's got a one track mind and nothing else. After getting revenge Sasuke has nothing going for him. Unless Naruto get's the kill first only for Sasuke to make Naruto his next target for Avengerdom. I mean that would be the only way I would see Sasuke being of any importance after Itachi's death.
@dlo62282:
Any respectable ninja village? I guess the ninja villages in your own manga huh? It doesnt seem out of character for any village to welcome back any missing nin if they actually wanted to come back. Konoha has a former missing nin as there Hokage. Asuma left Konoha and later came back. This has happend before and it will happen again.
No I'm talking about the ninja villages in Naruto. Maybe you should pay attention more. Do you honestly think they'd welcome back any missing nin if they begged for forgiveness? Heck do you think Konoha would welcome back Itachi? You've gotta be kidding me. These people are missing nin for a reason. Heck the whole Zabuza arc alone showed us that any respectable ninja village wouldn't accept traitor's back into their ranks. Kakashi even explained this after Haku took Zabuza away. Missing nin are traitors and let's face it Sasuke was going to give Konoha's biggest enemy the sharingan. That makes him a threat to the village's safety. No way would they allow Sasuke back like nothing ever happened.
and wait… You're calling Tsunade a missing nin? She's a freakin' sennin and they have special privilleges to leave the village. That's why Jiraiya could come and go as he pleased.
@dlo62282:
Yeah, you have a point there. Naruto needs better leadership skills and a better variety of jutsus. He showed two different jutsus from his training though. One was rasengan: fuuton, which was a Tornado attack and the other was Rasenshuriken which was that one that killed Kazu.
Indeed heck from what I remember Sandaime knew every single elemental type and Kakashi is a guy who knows over a thousand jutsu. There's no excuse why Naruto only knows two.
@dlo62282:
Well, you do know what forgivness is dont you? I am not sure about Sasuke being a main villian but alot of people thought he would be after the end of Part 1. Akatsuki have been arc villians, is that what you mean? Yeah, they have in a way. Did you want them to fight in one big arc or something?
I would like them to be able to put up a better fight than what we've seen. Anyone will say after reading back through the Sasori fight that Sasori was a force to be reckoned with and he was considered the weakest. For a group of S-class criminals trying to take over the world they don't seem like such a large global threat to me. Heck they seem more like hench goons for the eventual final boss super Sasuke at the end of the series.
Let's face it the fights in part one were a whole lot better at least the villains didn't lose pathetically… Well some of them did but at least it was in a way that didn't make it look like total shit.
@dlo62282:
You are confusing characteristics to goals. Sasuke goal right now is to kill Itachi. His character will be the same, even after/if he accomplishes it. Sasuke throughout the manga had many personality changes. I don't see how he was one-dimesional. The first arc in the manga, he pretty much gave up his life to save Naruto. He saw Haku aiming for Naruto and stepped right in front of the needles. His positive growth in the manga, has all been because of Naruto and to a lesser extent Sakura. I can type an essay about this but throughout the manga he has been far more than a one-dimesional character.
Except that he is. Everything Sasuke has done throughout the whole story has been driven by his revenge and need to be an avenger. That's really the only facet of his personality. Outside of that what is Sasuke? The dark, brooding, cool guy who'll save his friends in a pinch? I'm sorry but I'm having a hard time seeing how he isn't one-dimensional.
