Personally, this is what I thinnk happened to cp9 after Enies Lobby
Kaku, Spandam (in a wheelchair) and Kumadori are in front of a judge, being sentenced to death at first, but given a life sentence instead, due to long and faithful service (or because the WG doesn’t want the next generation of cp9 to believe that it would be better to betray them as soon as they have learned everything they can).
As they walk away, we see the VCs looking on.
Then-crash!-the door to the court slams open!
Next, we cut to 3 days prior.
We see a hat floating in the sea, with a pigeon flying in circles above it.
Then, we see a boat going towards the hat.
In the next scene, a door opens to the bottom of the ocean, showing us Lucchi at the bottom of it, before he floats quickly towards the door made in the sea.
He comes out, and is about to go back in to the sea, before a whip comes out and catches him mid-air!
Who is it that has saved him, you ask?
Why, its Fukurou, Blueno and Kalifa!
Hattori flies down towards Lucchi, coming to a halt above on his stomach, cooing worriedly all the time (the thing acts human when we first see it, so don’t tell me it can’t do that).
We see them move away from the place, leaving Lucchis hat by the sea.
They go to an unknown island in the grand line, and we see Lucchi recovering there for 1 day.
2 days before the judgement.
During this time, Lucchi wakes up.
Since he fell down from the island into water, he should logically be dead, but he shoves no surprise at being alive, remaining stoic all the time.
When they notice he is awake and watching them, the trio that saved him comes to him and starts to talk to him.
One thing leads to another, and it ends up with Fukurou handing Lucchi a piece of newspaper that says that Kaku and the other are going to be sentenced to life.
Now, Kalifa comes in, telling everyone that she has a plan to save their companions.
Before she can get started, however, Lucchi interrupts, apathetically claiming that he has no intention to go again the WG, even after they abandoned him.
He says that doing so would be suicide.
Before he can continue, Kalifa stands up and starts screaming at him, telling him that they were his companions as well, and reminding him of everything they did.
During this time, we see flashbacks of everything that has happened this far between them as a group, how they met and other stuff we never got to see.
Still, Lucchi remains unemotional.
Before Kalifa can get anything else out, we hear someone coming from the beach where they had docked.
Surprise, surprise, it Jyabura!
Come on, if a weakling like Pell could survive something like a bomb designed to blow a city up going off right in his face, Jyabura can survive what happened to him!
Everyone, except Lucchi, looks shocked, while Jyabura just grins slightly.
Then, he goes forward and sits down, waiting for her to continue, saying that the only right thing to do is save his companions, while adding that they are to weak to take care of themselves, to boost his own ego.
Fukurou and Kalifa smiles at this, while even Blueno manages a tiny half-smile.
Lucchi then stands up, getting ready to walk away.
As he does, he has to pass Kalifa and Jyabura.
She tries to get him to come and help them one more time, while Jyabura merely waits until she is done, and after she fails.
Then, when Lucchi passes, wolf-boy comments on how he always knew that Lucchi wouldn’t stick to his nakama in the end.
Lucchi merely pauses for a moment, and uncharacteristically answers him, telling him that he has no nakama.
Then, he continues to walk away, with Hattori on his shoulders.
They don’t see him again for that night.
The next day, they wake up, and decide to hurry along to the Train and get to the court that is being held in 1 day.
1 day until the judgement.
As they do that, we cut to Lucchi as he walked away yesterday.
We don’t see his face, as it is shadowed.
While he takes steps to some unknown location, we hear the voices of cp9 members talking to him during his youth.
Both during and after he killed the king (yes, I know it is in the anime only, but as long as Oda doesn’t directly contradict this, there is no reason it can’t be canon).
He walks slower all the time.
Finally, he stops.
Then we cut to the group that tries to save their friends, if you can call them that.
They had hid on the roof of the Train, managing to come along for the trial.
Then, we go back to the present day, where the door has been slammed open.
We see Blueno, Kalifa and Fukurou, all wearing disguises.
They run forward, to save their friends, but are stopped by the VCs, and start to get beaten.
Horribly so.
Then, they see a shadow at the window, a shadow of a hat being thrown up and down.
The hat goes down into the hands of a man, who puts it on, showing us that the man is Lucchi, also in a disguise.
Hattori is nowhere to be seen.
No one there knows who Lucchi is, since cp9 is known to be secret in the world, which would include everyone but the VCs, I guess.
But I can’t believe that the VCs would know what kind of disguises the cp9 would use.
Then, he jumps down, and takes out the VC that shot one of his own crewmembers.
Then, he and Jyabura use Soru and free Kaku and the others.
It has been speculated that Lucchi is equal to a VC, and I don’t see why not.
That means that there are about 3 VCs vs. Lucchi, who equals them, Kaku and Jyabura that could probably take out one VC if they worked together, and Fukurou, Blueno, Kalifa and Kumadori should probably be able to at least keep the last one busy while the other ones gets beaten.
I’m not sure what Spandam would do, though.
After they have freed everyone, they Soru out of there as quickly as possible.
It’s just stupid to stay and die when you can run away.
At least, it is according to them, I think.
Then, we see them, one day after they had managed to run away and in hiding, going in a boat through the Grand Line.
Kaku, Fukurou and Kalifa are laughing, while Spandam, that bastard, is stuck in a wheelchair and Blueno making drinks for the group, while Jyabura and Lucchi are drinking.
Then, we see a close-up of all the characters from Lucchis point of view, before cutting to a close-up of his lips, where we see that he smiles a little.
The End.
Ok, I know that I might be a bit optimistic about this whole affair, but I don’t buy the fact that Lucchi always have to be that cold.
I would prefer if the man showed at least some humanity.
Just a little.
That’s the only complaint I have with Oda’s villains.
They lack any form of humanity (I mean, I could understand that with Arlong and all, but…)
Anyway, I guess you can tell that I have put down some time on this, it being my first “theory” (if it can even be called that) on this forum.
Well, tell me what you think, and please give me your theories what will happen to cp9, the hardest (and, IMHO, the best) enemies to date.
