So any one planning on seeing this movie? I know I am. The first movie was awesome, and my sister already saw the second one at some premier showing. She said it was pretty badass, so I'm looking forward to it myself.

sighs I wish Hollywood would stop flooding us with crappy sequals like this. We need a revamped Night of the Living Dead, yo!

Coincidentally, this is the guy that's rooting for Austin Powers 4.
-
Looks like a remake of Dawn of the Dead :/
Seriously…it looks just like some rip-off.

28 Days Later was hilarious.
The best scene was where he released the captured rage-induced man, they look at each other for a few moments, with you feeling the understanding between them, then the prisoner proceeds to go devour everybody.

I knew someone would bring this up as I was typing it. Here is the point tho.
This one, the FIRST sequel.
Austin Powers, the FOURTH sequel. (or could be a prequel)
I love my logic.

I'm getting a huge fucking display for free because I'm awesome like that.
28 Weeks Later is going to be sweet, gonna see it on Sunday after work.

….how is that logic?
And the fact that there is a 4th sequel to Austin Powers makes it 10 times worse. There wasn't any need for it.
This one, I assume, is picking up where the last one left off, and it seems to be on a larger scale with the zombies. So I don't see what is wrong with this sequel really...

What, Austin Powers becomes a zombie? Hell, I'd go see that movie then. XD

First sequel vs. third sequel. strange how you need a first sequel in order to get more than one sequel.
And clearly having three sequels makes it a worthy series to stretch.
-
Yes, yes. My, I sometimes astonish even myself.
-
I think sequels have ruined too many good films.
Usually because it's never a good movie. If it's nearly as good, that's fine, but the second time around is so cheesy.
And then it just gets dumb to the point of "Every time a new episode based on the movies, or new movie comes out, the series gets 100 times worse".
In my opinion the only series that didn't mess up with sequels was Star Wars, and even then, that might just be because George Lucas pretty much had the story planned in his head from the start. Now every movie that doesn't lose money gets a sequel. And it just brings along terrible writing. Because you know, the villain that died in the first was so good of a character he MUST be brought back from the dead, only to be so much more powerful that he can't be killed without the heroes chasing him, and defeating him through numerous sequels and TV series.
The problem isn't that Hollywood keeps making sequels, it's that every movie gets a sequel and none of the sequels are any good.
-
That's merely an opinion. Not all sequels were bad. I enjoyed both Kill Bill movies, the first one had most of the action, the second was a little more plot driven, all in all, a good set of movies.
Same with the Mariachi Trilogy. The first one wasn't really that great, but the second and third went in different directions, and were awesome. Desperado is still one of my favorite movies, as is Once Upon A Time in Mexico. They were both done really well in my opinion.
Now, as for bad sequels, Queen of the Damned comes to mind. Interview With The Vampire is a classic, and the sequel was just… ugh. Soundtrack was cool though (yay Kidney Thieves~)
-
watched the first one the other week, apart from Eccleston being in it….it was pretty average, dun think I'll bother with the sequal.
-
I thought the first movie was kinda overrated, but still good for a new zombie movie. I'll be watching it anyway, can't resist an horror flick.
Btw, it's an european project, so don't blame Hollywood if it sucks -
I guess I'm going to see this. 28 days was good, so I hope this one be too. What I really to see however is George Romero's fifth zombie movie.
-
I just read the Wikipedia article.
! France is being invaded by infected but the garlic will wipe them out
-
Since when are zombies "vampires"?
…I don't think I want that answered.

Yo' know, it comes from that logic when George Romero adapted "I'm Legend" to make his Living Dead movie.
BTW Pants-Eater, your new avatar is ingenious.
