When I turned off my computer, while it was shutting off, it made alot of beeping sounds. After it completely shut off, I cannot turn it back on again. No lights, no fan, no monitor, no keyboard, nothing. Earlier I had a couple power surges while the computer was still on also. Is this my power supply or what?
Any help is useful, I am very desperate as that is my main computer.
Computer Does not Start up

Yes, you need a new power supply. The same thing happened to me a few years ago. I don't think there's any other way around that, but hopefully, all other components should be fine.
EDIT: Oh yeah, you might want to consider getting a surge protector to prevent this from happening again… it's annoying but computers don't come with one built in...

Lol, my power suply on an old computer once caught on fire(well, not really, there was a weird zaping sound, the computer shut down and smoke came from behind it and there was a weird smell) I was like WTF.
Oh yeah, shouldn't the monitor like work even if the power suply goes bye, bye. I mean, it should still be functional, just no image since the computer is down anyway.

Yeah definately power supply, happened to a friend of mine about a month ago. Also not a good idea to keep trying the power button either, can make the situation worse.

Well, it seems that everyone is saying Power Supply. But I just want to let you know that you get the right one. If you get the wrong power supply for your computer, bad things can happen. So just make sure the specs are the same.

Thank you very much everyone!
also VL7, sorry I wasnt specific but the monitor works XD.
Again thank you everyone! -
You have to be careful about the powersupply fans going out. I had a fan go on the blink, and I was keeping it cool with an extra fan until I could get a new one, but then I forgot one night and it overheated and died. Fortunately no harm came to the rest of the computer and it was easy to replace.

Thank you.
Fortunate for me nothing else was damaged and I just found out that the power Supply was one of the cheapeast components to buy XD.
