I have two computers at my apartment, and I've been using them for a few years now. I've never had any problems before.
But today one of them started saying I have "limited or no connectivity" and I cannot get on the internet.
I don't know anything about how computers work, I only know how to do things on them. So a lot of the sites I've looked at have not been helpful (lots of jargon, things about routers - which I have no control over at this apartment).
I have tried several things already…downloaded a patch that was supposed to fix it, tried some program that was supposed to fix it, changed different settings, etc.
However, I can't figure out what to do. Now I'm worried about my remaining computer. Should I stop using Bittorrent? Did that have anything to do with it? I've read that some people are banned from the internet or something if they use torrents on campus, but I don't live on campus. I live in an apartment and I never read anything in the papers I signed about internet downloading. I've been using Bittorrent for a few years now on the same computer.
So, I'm getting kind of paranoid. I need the internet to do my school work, so I can't risk using Bittorrent on my computer that works (but I'm not sure how I'll ever see the rest of Fist of the North Star now).
Has anyone else experienced this, and if so, were you able to figure out a way to fix it (that I could understand)?
