When you were fully caught up to One Piece, what was the newest chapter?
For me, it was chapter 387 "Gear."

I believe Chapter 398: Declaration of War or Chapter 399: Jump into the Falls.
With the raws I cought up at chapter 367 "Sogeking". Before that I thought keeping up with just the scanslations would be a good idea. Glad that I reconsidered it after a while.
I believe it was chapter 434, "Whitebeard and Redhair." (It took me a while to catch up)
Sometime right before Luffy vs Foxy. I believe it was chapter 311 "Rough Game".
Four hundred ten (sixteen symbols)
384 - Give the signal to counterattack; and 410 - Nami, big sized. After 384, I decided to let the chapters build up for a while before returning to the series.
Chapter 412: The Chance Has Ended.
It was my first experience with raw chapters of a manga.
Chapter 335, "Warning". At the time i was only buying the brazillian edition (and watching the anime), but i got curious when heard about Luffy and Usopp's fight on ch. 332.
The chapter where Nami was fighting Califa. Don't recal the specific number or title.
I don't remember exactly, I think it was somewhere between chapter 339 and 341. "The Demon" seems to ring a bell the most. I got tired about people talking about Usopp v. Luffy and spoiling me. :P
btw, I edited the title because it looked like it was going to be one of those "What chapter was it that so and so happened in" type of threads.
I have no idea but I'm thinking it was somewhere between the chapters where Galley-La, Franky Family, and the Straw Hat's reach Enies Lobby and Luffy's fight with Blueno.
I caught at 385/386 that time around. Though I had been aware of weekly releases and stuff at 359.
i think it was 387 for me
The first appearance of Brook. I forget the chapter number…
Somewhere around where the Anime is now, just a little bit into the Luffy vs Lucci fight. At least, I think. It may have been a bit before that. Nah. I caught up at early in that fight.
Chapter 314: Combat!!!
What an awesome place to start, too. I'm pretty sure I DLed it to get a look at the new serial story.
365 Rocket Man. The build-up there to save Robin was just great.
! Chapter 430 - The one where the Going Merry "dies". I guess the reason it didn't phase me as much is because I was only into One Piece for a few months and didn't get attached to it as much.
For me, it was when everyone was gathered in Iceburgs room right before the Strawhats got Pwned by CP9.
I think it was around 361, couldn't be quite sure tho, it was a couple of chapters before the Sogeking one tho.
Then again, probably don't count anymore, since I'm a couple of chapters behind again XD
I do that too– let myself fall behind a few chapters. That usually happens when fights occur. Fights are fun to watch and all, but watching every scene piece by piece every week kills the experience for me.
I caught up at either 389 or 390. I forgot exactly which one, but I know it was somewhere right before Robin's flashback.
Mm… I think it was somewhere between 386 and 388.
I caught up right after Robin's flashback!
Right at chapter 416, Zoro fight.
Took me some time to understand how things are going here though, I woke up around 430.
Chapter 398: Declaration of War.
It had taken me nearly 3 weeks starting at chapter 1 to finally reach that point.
i start reading from ch. 410
to caught up i start from 393
Something like 305, or whenever the crew first met Foxy.
I caught up at 386, or whichever chapter started Luffy vs. Blueno.
In my nerdity, I remember- 9/3/05, when the RAWs on the second MSN site were up to 380 and the scans were up to 378. I caught up riiiight before EL.
For me I caught up to the manga at chapter 390, which of course the infamous stare down chapter between The Straw Hat Crew and the Cp9 before the beginning of Robin's flashback.
It took from May 2005 through November of 2005,I started off at the beginning of Arlong, since Shoenen Jump, U.S. was only one chapter away from finishing up Don Kreig, and at that I couldn't download episode since I didn't have ether a laptop or dsl. Since I had dail up internet.
But I did caught up to everyone at a very important point in the story a least. ^_^.
Chapter 377: The Battle on the Judiciary Island. I think that 378 might've been out already, but saying that I caught up at 377 sounds cooler.
Ch. 414: Sanji vs. Jyabura. Took me a couple of months actually to catch up.
Oh man.
I can't beleive so many people were so late.
I caught up at 303.
The chapter DIRECTLY between Skypiea and Long Ring Long Island.
Chapter 378: Damage Report
It's been a good while…
405-Power!
I read from Kuro throu Baroque Works last Christmas break, and must have read through Water 7 by February break.
Don't remember the exact number, but it was around the time Luffy and Blueno's fight began.
I don't quite remember the number. But I was watching the anime up until the end of alabaster. Then after that and now I've been reading the manga.
It was sometime during Arlong Park when I was fully caught up, but I don't remember the exact chapter because, well, that was a bloody long time ago. I'd say that it was around chapter eighty-something-or-other, give or take.

Indeed.

Holy shit you caught up during arlong park?! I assume you live in Japan, but damn you've been reading one piece weekly for like 8 years. Wow that's crazy, the wait for the chapters during Alabasta must have been insane. Wow.
Actually, I've never even been to Japan, let alone actually lived there. I just got into One Piece earlier than average and in all honesty, Arlong Park was just the first time that I was completely caught up; since then I haven't been completely solid with keeping up with getting Weekly Shounen Jump as I much preferred to get the chapters as tankouban. I collected Weekly Shounen Jump for only about a year or so, give or take, along with a few other serialisations like Densetsu no Gau and Afternoon, but they took up so much room that I pretty much binned them in favour of getting tankouban only. I do get the newest chapters online though, and have been for a few years, though I delete them pretty quickly because I'm not particularly fond of reading stuff like that from a computer.
But yeah, I have been following the series for about that long and the wait for Arabasta was insane, but no more than the wait for any other huge saga-arc. Enies Lobby is another such huge saga-arc that immediately comes to mind.
