**Honestly, People say Luffy is nearly unpairable But I honestly only see maybe one pairing that works.
Zoro x Luffy.
People may slaughter me, but think about it. Zoro really would be lost without Luffy. Everyone else has someone too go back to if Luffy died. Nami has Nojiko, Sanji has Zeff, Chopper has Krueha, Usopp has Kaya, Robin has herself? o_O;; But, look at it, Zoro and Luffy do have the chemistry, The trust, the loyalty, and the way their dreams. Zoro would be the most affected by Luffy's death, Followed by Nami, Chopper, Usopp, Sanji, and then Robin, and if you'd like too include Vivi, then you'd put Vivi Before Chopper. And it'd be about the same way if Zoro died, Luffy would be the most affected. Plus, I honestly don't see Zoro crying/sheading a tear for anyone else OTHER then Luffy.

Don't worry dude, I see it like that too. ^_^; My shtick for ZoLu isn't so much the stuff in the bedroom so much as the dynamic between them; what you put up is definitely a part of it all. They both have this direct and implicit trust in the other that I don't really see with the other crew members (GM: "OMG LUFFY SO WORRIED EMO TEAR" Zoro: "lol dude, he's fine") and they're practically just the closest, both in mindset and heart. It's that kind of friendship I dig, not really the sex (that's just an added benefit  ).
I totally agree about the tear thing, too
– ninja edit lmao
Okay here is my problem with this, Zoro is kind of a loner…In fact the only crew member who is more of a loner is Robin (which is probably why some people tend to pair them up). Anyway I am not going to bash this just because it is Yaoi, if that is your thing that is cool. However I disagree with your thinking that Zoro needs someone, particularly Luffy. Zoro got by for many years by himself and with out Luffy he would probably just go back to doing what he did before. I also think that Luffy could probably get by with out Zoro as well. If there were any crewmember that they really couldn't live with out it would be Nami, but I am not going to go into that, because I am beginning to get off topic.
I read that and I can't help but think of what Zoro said after his defeat by Mihawk:
Have I… troubled you...?
If I cannot become...
NEAR the world's strongest... swordsman,
...it'll cause trouble for you...!!!
Given that everyone's going to have different interpretations of the same situation, you'll read it one way and I'll read it another, but that right there shows already how he's sticking like glue to Luffy, no matter what happens. Yeah, it's not like he NEEDS Luffy to become the world's strongest swordsman, but there he's admitting he's not just doing it for himself and Kuina anymore; he's doing it all for Luffy as well. And if something happens to Luffy, then how would that rock him? Aside from his flashbacks, that's the only time yet we've seen Zoro cry and let it all out - which makes it only two people he's done that for so far, Kuina and Luffy. Promises weigh too much on him to just throw one to whoever walks his path.
Again, it's not like Zoro couldn't achieve his dream without Luffy around (and vice versa), but the point isn't that he couldn't, the point is who he's doing it for now.
