Kickass Toys

Technic Lego. Not just little blocks but rods and all sorts of whatnot. We have a 60cm long model car with a lifting motor hood.
-
I like the Marvel Legends toyline. 40 points of Articulation, excellent sculpt, build a figure, and accesories make these the greatest toys of this century.
To define kick ass toys, watch the 40 year old virgin. He has so many excellent toys in that movie. -
Stretch Armstrong is my favorite childhood toy, no contest in the slightest. I had one when I was a kid, and I played with it non-stop. I still remembered what it smelled like - like rubber and paint, simultaneously burning to the nose and awesome. I played with it so much, in fact, that he got a big gash right down his right arm. I cried for so long, because it was my favorite toy, and eventually covered up the gash with a band-aid (because I was a kid, and when you're a kid band-aids can cure any ailment, from cuts and scrapes to Ebola). His arm was eventually torn off completely, despite the miracle band-aid. God, I would give so much to see a real, genuine-article Stretch Armstrong in any toy store now. All that's left is crappy knock-offs, without the brain-cell-killing rubber-and-paint smell.
Besides that, I looooooved action figures as a kid. I still have a figure of Megaman from the American cartoon series, along with his crazy green car thing (even though he is missing an arm). I still have tons of miscellaneous Bandit, Knight, Pirate, and Cowboy toys, too, and a couple playsets for them; those were always fun to stage huge-scale wars with my brother on (I always used the Pirates and Cowboys, he the Bandits and Knights). I have a trunk filled with nothing but Hot Wheels that I whip out whenever my little cousin comes over. On top of that, I had way too many toys to name - I had a bunch of uncles who all liked action figures as kids, so I inherited all their toys - including some of the original Muscle Men from Kinnikuman, which amuse me to no end just to look at today.
God damn being a kid was fun. I feel like whipping out those Pirates and Cowboys and challenging my brother to a battle now.

Transformers, Legos, and Power Ranger action figures were the best.
I haven't played with toys in ages though. The last thing I did was when my friend found a bunch of Marvel and Star Wars action figures that I managed to set up and have a montage of. :o

anyone remember Crazy Bones?
-
I don't remember what it was called, but there was this cool toy that was kind of like a gyro. It's hard to explain, but it had a handle, with two wires coming out of it. You placed this little wheel on it and by moving your wrist, it would move up and down the wires. I can't for the life of me remember what the thing was called though.

I recently became enamored with my old Monster in my Pocket collection. Anyone remember those? Those CONSUMED my childhood, I swear. But finding them all totally made me feel like a kid again, I love it. I also bought the movie and the comics on ebay for hella cheap just for the nostalgia factor.

Yep, I have tons of those figures. I also have the animation somewhere. I remember reading one of the comics in a grocery store but my mother wouldn't buy it. Oh, and I remember the video game too.
