Thanks, Cind. I'll listen to the rest of the voices while I'm on my own computer (is currently using one of the library's computer).

Dub voices i like: Eneru,Satori, and Blackbeard
Dub voices i don't like: Bellamy(Too High) and Wiper(Very bad)
And it's kind of wierd that Luffy,Sanji, and Robin voice sound alot better in Video games but not the anime -
Lol. Am I the only who LIKES the Japanese Satori? Sure it made me think him as a girl at first, but it fits IMO. So does his English one, but it kind of makes him sound really stupid, instead of goofy.
I also dont really mind Blackbeards. It is not too bad, just needs to be a little deeper.
As for Enel/Eneru, I actually like it a bit now. If he was saying God instead of Sky Lord, it would be pretty good.
But Wiper and Bellamy….just no.
No, you're not the only one who likes Satori's Japanese voice. Except I don't really like his English voice very much.
Seconded on Bellamy. Wiper I don't really care about, as I hate him to begin with.
-
Okay, got to hear the voices Cinder upped.
Wiper's voice was a big WTH. He sounds like some evil litte midget dude. Satori's sounds like a hippy, it made me laugh a little. Pandaman's voice is okay except for the "Sasasa" thing.
-
"I'M BELLAMY, WHO WANTS TO PLAY DUNGEONS AND DRAGONS, OR FORM A GUILD ON WOW?!!!"
Yep, absolutely horrible.
-
"I'm On Em like a Hyena on an antelope." I hope Bellamy is not talking about what I think he is.
This is officialy the worst dub line since the Siegfried & Roy reference by Zoro or the desert doo doo line.
-

I though the same thing as you did on the other topic.

The doo-doo puns are probably the worst, but the Siegfried and Roy gag was even more unnecessary. Like, were they around since the pirate age (kidding)? They'd have to be dead by then.
-
By the way, did they leave in the opening animation? I mean… There's some clips in there that haven't happened in the dub yet... Also, what song do they use to replace the 5th opening there?
-
I actually got a chance to play this game, since Crimsondreamer bought it a few weeks ago…. Damn this game is addictive XD The dub voices don't bother me as much, its more the acting that is just horrible...
We haven't played it much, but how far in the story does this game reach?
-
Is there any way to delete saved board games?
-
Just a quick question/request.
Does anyone have any screenshots of the water 7 characters?
I wanna see chibi leopard Lucci. :3 -
There's Water 7 stuff in the game? Man,I'm stuck with the english version. The box art for the Japanease one is so much better then ours. And the voices sound horrible. Though I agree,Satori's voice is great. I just wish there could have been a english to japanease language thing like you see in some games now.
-
Bon-Chan's post reminded something; there is already a hacked version of this game in Japanese? Some months ago I looked for it in Mininova but the site only had the USA version.
-
i hate this game!!!!
it was so hard to play,
and i was to confused with the japanese language!!!

If it's so hard to play in japanese, then play it in english.
I've been too lazy to write a script that'd help you play the japanese game though… I'll keep this in mind.

I've been looking desesperately but no, there aren't, that's the only one, if you're interested in PC pics I decompiled the flash file of the official webpage and i've got clean images of nearly everyone, you can find them in http://www.xkstation.com/everyonepeace/
Click "Imágenes" then "Artworks" then "Pirates' Carnival".And by the way, I uploaded into Youtube a gameplay of the Rucchi minigame, sorry about the poor sound quality:

I tried to get the thing with the text fixed myself but this is the best I could come up with.

Koas, I'd love if those comics on Every-One Peace were translated in english, they look funny as hell.
-
Is the opening changed in the US version of pirates carnvival?
-
That looks very nice Ivotas, I wouldn't have noticed that there was text before, it's a pity that the pic is so small… Mind if I put it in my site?

Why do all of you mispell my nickname? warp called me "Koas" somewhere else too xD
Ok, I'll send you the translated scripts of the comics later ;)
Is the opening changed in the US version of pirates carnvival?
Yes, you can watch both versions in YouTube.
-
You shouldn't worry until you start getting called "Koos" or "Kaas" or "Kass" etc..
Also, Kaos, I'm starting an English One Piece site which I hope to become one of the #1 sources for One Piece information. I was wondering if I could use some of the video game artwork you captured and have on your site for graphics on the site and the like. I will credit you and if you'll have it, affiliate with you.
-

Yeah, it´s a pitty that it is very small. But feel free to use it for your site. I hav no probs with that. Sorry that I couldn´t help out with a better one.
Seems that you´re then just missing Pauley and Kaku/Kalifa.
-
Yes, the USA version also features SD pics of "Chaser", Mohji, Kabaji, Zeff, Patty and some more, they would be nice to get too :__)
-
Bet every OP game ends at skypia…Is the PS2 all regional so I can buy the JP version of carnival
-
Nope, it´s not allregional. You have to get a mod-chip to play it. I had to do the same stuff to my PS2 to be able to play Pirates Carnival and it was worth it. I even consider to purchase the japanese Round the Land even though the german version is quite good.
-
What is Round the Land like? I haven't heard of it till you guys started talking about it.
-
If you really want to know then prepare yourself for a not so short read.
Basically its a jump and run game. Though the graphic gives the levels the appearance of depth it is a 2D plattformer. But other then just being a Super Mario Bros clone, there´s also veeeeeeeeerrrrrrrryyyyy little features of a role playing game, which means that certain characters have certain abilities in which only they can help out. Lets explain it a little.
You start out with Luffy and one by one you rejoin with your crew which you´ve lost on that adventure island. First you find Zoro then Nami and so on and so on. Before each adventure you need to select who you want to play threw the levels. Your team can consist at max of three people. At the beginning it is clearly Luffy, Zoro and Nami because this is the first three you get. Afterwards you can decide on your own who´s in and who not. And here´s where the interesting thing starts.
Among beating up random enemies aswell as the antagonists of the series you also have to collect treasure chests. In order that a treasure chest can be count as collected you have to either take it to the finish of the stage, or to the place where you can switch the characters. Since one stage has several chests it doesn´t make sense to go to the finish with the first one because then you would have to make the stage again and again. If a stage has four chests, then deliver three to the point where your crew is waiting and the final one can be carried to the finish.
Getting the treasure chests is actually the main reason why you need different characters. Some are hidden in some places that are blocked by stones or walls that almost none of your characters can destroy. In that case you need Zoro, because with his steel-cutting technique he´s the only one who can open this ways to get the treasure chests.
Another example is that there´s some places where you have to be very small to get to the chest. In that case Chopper is the only one to get there. Also there´s places where you have to jump very high to get to a chest. Again Chopper in Jumping Point is the only one to reach them.
Other then that, not everybody is strong around to carry each kind of chest. Zoro is the strongest of ALL the Strawhats so having him around is always good just in case you run into a heavy chest.
Another interesting thing is that each enemy (this includes small ones) that you defeat leaves an item that your character has to collect. If you beat someone as Luffy, a piece of meat will remain, if you do it as Zoro some weights etc. If you collect these items your special skill bar will fill more and more. You can fill it to a large count.
This special skills is also very useful. For instance if you have Luffy on your team, then if he falls into a bottomless hole (remember 2D-Plattform-Game) then he automatically uses one of his special skills which would be to stretch his arm and pull himself out from certain death. What´s even better is that if you fall into such a bottomless hole as Sanji for instance, then Luffy´s arm will grab you and pull you back into the game. The costs are again one usage of the special skill.
Each Strawhat has such skills that are helpful not only to the character himself but also to the team. But I think I already explained it enough, so please bare with me if I don´t want to elaborate on every character.
Fact is, it is a very great One Piece game because this really covers the adventure and more importantly the essence of teamwork that One Piece stands for. Also it is simply delightful to hear the japanese voice actors in the little scenes, such as when Nami sings "o-takara, o-takara" (I take it as "oh treasure, oh treasure" and jumps around happily when she´s the one carrying the treasure chest (one of the light ones of course).
Simply put, this game is One Piece. The other games may allow you to play with more characters but none of them cover the adventure feel of OP (except maybe for Pirates Carnival, though in a much milder party-esque way). I so hope that we´ll get a second part of Round the Land once we have more Strawhats (and more antagonists). Other then that, I actually hope that Unlimited Adventure could be a game of that sort. But in 3D.
Hope the explenation was helpful. I know I´m biased, but if you can play import games and if you love One Piece then you can´t go wrong with buying that game. Even if you´re no jump an run fan. I know what I´m talking about because I hate jump and run games and this one I´ve played for weeks because it´s so much fun. You won´t regret it.
-
Damn, too bad it is for PS2, this would make an awesome ROM.

Thanks so much for the info, Ivotas! I've been looking at buying Round the Land, and your review has me completely sold. Off to browse the internet vendors…..

You´re welcome. I´m sure you won´t regret it. It´s so much fun.

Ok my opinions on the voices:
Bellamy:sounds like a hyena all right XD
Wyper:sounds like a older vegeta
Blackbeard:his voice sounds ok
Santori: IMO, sounds ok also
Eneru: ok as well -

Yes, yes. I know it was dubbed by 4kids..but does anyone else own this?
Does anyone know how to unlock Grand Line 3 map? That's all I need to be able to unlock the Skypiea maps.

If you want to discuss anything about OnePiece that's not related with the manga or the anime,go to the General OnePiece & Search the thread of what you want to discuss about first, okay? -
don't you have to beat one map to unlock another?…
-
@bunshindattebayo:
I checked. It's not there. The thing is also a video game and this happens to be the video game section. Kindly chill the fuck out.
Quexinos: I've tried all of the different difficulties and the other maps, but it still hasn't unlocked. I was asking here just in case there was some other pre-requisite that was overlooked.
-
This still belongs in the General One Piece forum, along with all the other One Piece games that are in that forum.
-
As a One Piece forum, One Piece games have been placed in the General lately because it keeps all One Piece relevant threads near each other. But technically it could be under video games as well.
It's not true that it can't belong here. Pirates' Carnival = Video Game too. But for the sake of the thread creator, I will merge it with the old thread in the General One Piece forum.
-

Beat Grand Line 2 against 3 CPUs in Very Hard.
-
Ew. Thanks! I'll try it once I have 3 hours to spare…
-
The trick is to save every turn, then reset when you loose.
It's tedious, but really the only humanly possible way to win,
as far as I'm concerned.
