His features make him look like a s 'panda' m. Any use for the 'su' and 'mu' you can think of?

Er . . . S&M?
. . . . . . . I can't believe I said that.
It's okay. We were all thinking that.
Wow, here I am making all these references to The Joker, a skull, and a mime (just thought of that actually) and omae hits the nail on the head. The guy's face has the same color scheme as a panda's! Well scouted, m'man. As for the su and mu….Sumo Panda and Mushu Panda are all I have.
When I first saw his name I thought, Secretly PANDA-Man

Spice and Mint or Sadism and Masochism, pick your choise :P. For a first few seconds I thought Spandam was Pandaman.
**What's S&M? **
Dude, I'm sorry that was hilarious. I'm not making fun of you in any way shape or form but it is too funny that you asked what S&M is and then your sig is "ROPE ACTION!". That was just way too funny a scenario.
A friend and I noticed the Panda part of his name a week or two ago.. I didn't notice that the marks on his face made him look like a panda, cool.
What's S&M?
in time my friend… in time
by the way satsuki would u like too... ;)
I was thinking the su was for supa or super.

Now Omae has me lauging because he pointed that out.
No disrespect, Solid, but it seems you have become the unintentional humor in this topic.

snorts with laughter Oh man . . . . who wants to be the doujin already exist?
And if Paulie does join and Robin returns that would make for one TENSE relationship . . . which makes the S&M all the more appropriate . . . . . .
And I apologize to Solid for making him the butt of the joke in this thread . . . .
Bwhahahahhaa!
Oh my.
I don't think Paulie would be up to it!

That sounds like a Cafe Ruanky doujin if you ask me. Ten bucks for Robin being the dom. (I can't believe I said that. Such a perversion-inducing thread this is.)
I… Still don't get it.. :o Is S&M something dirty or what? :o
Sadism and masochism, rope action's heavily involved in it.
I think that should clear it out. But is it dirty depends on personal preference.
Aha, okey, thx. ;) I think I understand now…
kids these day. the know nothing.

in great quantities. spam knows all and exists everywhere.

It can also mean "Slave and Master." All those dominatrix types . . . .
Ahhhh, what can of worms have I opened . . . . .
I still think Mr. 1 and Miss Doublefinger are the kinkiest S&M couple out there…
Nonsense! The greatest Dominatrix of OP would be Calpiha, no question!!!! She uses a whip as a weapon, wears fishnets and is evil, for gods sake!
No doubt a freaky CaliphaxPaulie doujinishi is being drawn as we speak.
Oh yes, yes. Bring on the Calipha doujinshi!
…...anyway, I never noticed the panda thing before. If those types of pandas that Owner Zeff mentioned exist, then I'll go with that.

When I first heard about the name "Spandam" I thought of 酢昆布 (su-konbu, vineger seaweed). It's yummy. But I guess that relation would only happen if you know Japanese food -__-
Vineger panda…. mmmmm <3
_<
hahaha vineger panda
yea i havnt tasted viniger seaweed but ive tasted plain seaweed and it is good
he might be a zoan panda
Hmm, I doubt it. I think Oda's just being creative as usual.
Man, I feel bad for instigating this thread's spiral into the sewer.

DAMN, I missed it!.. <_<
I think Oda wanted to name him 'Panda', but it was too obvious, so he just added a random letter to the beginning and end. :P
Oda likes his pandas…
Originally posted by Marred+Mar 1 2005, 05:50 PM–>QUOTE(Marred @ Mar 1 2005, 05:50 PM)
Well I think the only way it could be 'sour' or somehow related to that would be if his name was Suppandamu. I discussed it with a few Japanese friends and they all seem to agree on the panda connection but none of them can seem to make anything of su/mu. It's pretty ambiguous and driving me pretty nuts. You know it could be a double pun. Spandam could be based on something else but Oda played with the character's features based on that name.

That sounds really likely! It was sort of what I was thinking, but I put it out of my mind for some reason.
I think he's a drunk.
I so like some bad guys, but he's meant to be a total asshole with no good qualities, or at least it seems so so far.
Matter of opinion. People have said that about Bellamy, but I like him, and who knows what goes on in that head of Odaâ€s? He might like the character.
Anyway, I donâ€t really think it matters; he probably just felt like it. shrug
Hello, I'm Roman Zaenom from Eastblue. I registered to give you my opinion on this Su Panda Mu thing.
Su Lin is a famous female panda, known as the Zen Don Panda, symbol on Zen Soy packages. The Su might come from there. As for the Mu, I found a weird sentence on yahoo about Su Lin looking for a husband named Mu Ran Pai, who rejected her. This might point to the failed attempt to have Su Lin mate in captivity.
Doesn't sound too far-fetched, does it? :P
That's the best I've heard thus far!!
