@thepuregamer:
Problem is, when have we ever seen smoker being considered shikibukai lvl?
I personally don't care about, I am anti-filler arc. I'll be honest, I have seen tons of building and object destruction in one piece. I have seen 0 person melting or decapitation. Oda does not mutilate characters except for shanks. We have already seen the fire versus smoke fight. They didn't do much to each other.
BB pulled some crazy ass abilities that were far more important than his 3 punches. You need to reread that chapter if you didn't notice them. He has one that can suck you in and one that cancels your df powers. Those are pretty crazy. If all BB had was his 3 punches, he would have lost.
Also, when have we seen aokiji take a punch? As a logia we have never seen him take one. We have no clue to his physical abilities.
Wonder why you think it would take several minutes to melt a metal staff? He doesn't need to know about it. I don't even know why he'd let it hit him.
Whitebeard, maybe if you didnt sleep so much, you might make posts that mattered.
Shichibukai lvl? Well, the marines thought that Smoker could at least pull off being the "man who beat Crocodile." While Smoker obviously didn't, it shows that they thought that Smoker was the most realistic man to do the job. In fact, he might be stronger then Croc, who knows. By todays standards, he's pretty weak now.
But, I think the fact that Smoker is still alive, undefeated, and after the SHs suggests his strength. If Smoker was a weakling then he wouldn't have a place in the story. And so what if we haven't seen any moves from SMoker yet? Ace virtually filled in move list in the fight with Blackbeard. That and, fighter's make up moves a lot.
So, with Smoker's moves, just use your imagination. Smoker can lift objects right? Well, what if he lifts them 10,000 feet in the air then slam them into the earth? Or, what if Smoker can lift really heavy stuff with his smoke…like an island? Who knows....
I don't see why we should count Smoker out. If Smoker was so worthless, then the story wouldn't have given him that little but of focus after Enies Lobby.
However, I agree that Smoker is most likely weaker then Blackbeard, based on the defeat of Ace.
