Well sounds like you should consider getting tropical salt water fish that don't reqire all that much care.
Otherwise, if you want a pet pet, then if you feel like it a cat(although I'm not fond of most of them, not playful enough) or a small dog(but no chiauwa or however it's spelled, unless you really love them) like a maltese or a small poodle. I like maltipoos.
Yeah, i would get a cat, and i have the chance to get the cute little kitten for free, but i can;t because my roommate is gay and i cant because he is allgeric to cats

You know, insects are really nutritious and high in protein. :) And very cheap and easy to get. Some even taste good. Maybe we should just get over the "ew bugs" thing and eat them, it would probably be good for both the world hunger and insect overpopulation problem.
Anyway… I say go for the small caged creature option. -
I never tried it but if I had the chance I'd eat fried locusts on a heartbeat. Again, if you had shrimps once in your life I don't see what's the big deal. Crustaceans are arthropods just like insects, only difference is they live underwater. And they're considered delicacies while insects are frowned upon.

hmm ok, nah i woul eat them, i just never had money to buy a lobster(too eat) at least so i wouldn't know how good the are

But wouldn't that gross people out? Let's say that me and someone else are watching a movie when I see a roach crawling on the floor. I pause the film, walk over to the roach, pick it up, and eat it. I dunno, I just think the other person would be a little sickened.
-
Um, do people fish swimming around in the ocean, or a shimp, pick it up and eat it? No, most people are smart enough to know that there's a difference between food that is prepared and cooked and food that is live and raw.
As for Lobster, it's an acquired taste for some. Some people don't like the taste of crustaceans. I think they are quite yummy.
-
Maybe if I was eating them, and didn't know what they were till after, I might enjoy them. Just the fact of knowing I was eating insects would gross me out. Kind of like the time i was chowing down on Rockey Mountian Oysters, till someone told me what they were.
I Love shrimp, and could eat them all the time. I haven't tried lobster, but would love to someday.

Has anyone eaten escargot?

I've also eaten oysters, raw and cooked.
Rocky Mountain Oysters aren't oysters. :DWow this thread is getting off-topic. From pets the food, wth.

Lol yeah, this topic has went alot ways off topic but its cool.
Do lobsters need to live in salt water?
-
Ah, see, that's the thing with sea creatures. You'd have to get an aquarium and clean it every once in a while, which is such a hassle. Stick with the puppy?
The two kitties my roommate and I got are darlings, not too much upkeep and you can cuddle with them :D.

.Ha ha ha..that made me laugh. yes "rocky mountain Oysters come from Sheep.
I have never had oysters or escargot. But I have eaten mussels and scallops. They were really good.
Yes Lobsters would need to be in a saltwater aquarium. Marine aquariums are harder to keep up than freshwater.
