I saw a bunch of raw manga in my mall's Waldenbooks. Death Note, Ichigo 100%… some other stuff that I can't remember... eh-heh. It's super neat to see imports at the mall, but damn! They were $13 apiece. It really sucks, especially when you KNOW it's hella cheaper to buy them on the net.

Where do you live? o.o But yeah, $13 is expensive… .__.
-
Sloooooooooooow. It was announced last week that some Waldenbooks and Borders stores will be getting tankoubans in as part of an experiment. Volumes range from 12 to 13 bucks.
-
Oh o.o At least it'll be good for those who doesn't like buying them online and not having local Japanese bookstore? :x
How much is it usually if you order 1 volume online including shipping, say, Sasuga books? -
Dunno. I goto Kinnokuniya for $6 a tank. Book-offf for $3 a tank.
-
Damn those people who live close to BookOff T__T Wait and see, I'll be buying loads of Manga for 100 yen!
By the way, did you know buying Manga from BookOff does NOT support Manga-ka at all? All the mergins goes to the second hand bookstore and Manga-ka doesn't gain any $$ from those sales. -

They have OP and Naruto tanks?
-
Earlier posts have raised a question.
I bought the first two OP volumes from Sasuga.
Does anyone know if any of that money went to Oda?
-
That is so expensive!
I can find them at Kinokuniya here for about 10-16 SGD which is about 5 -8 USD.

**As long as the books are new, then yes. Money won't go to Manga-ka when you buy them used (somebody bought them new, then sell it to used bookstore, then somebody else buys from them).
By the way, how fast are they at importing? For example… Is Death Note v5 available? Same to One Piece v36? They both came out on Feb 4 or 5.

Man, You guys complain about $13 raw manga. Up here in Canada, when I go to Toronto and go to Chinatown, prices range from $14 Canadian - $25 for a single volume! I remember I once picked up a raw volume of Hellsing as well as a raw of Weiss Side B as christmas presents for a friend – nearly cost me $40 in the end! Since that day, I've decided I'll be doing my raw manga buying off of ebay -- where I can pick up 3 volumes of OP and 1 Jojo's Bizarre Adventure for $18 after shipping :D
