I wonder what Spandam's fate will be in the near or late future? I'm curious because I was thinking about two other spoiled brat villains: Helmeppo and Wapol.
Helmeppo, the spoiled brat son of ex-Captain Morgan, is now a badass Marine.
Wapol, the spoiled brat son of the late former king of Drum Island, is now a wealthy (but still spoiled more or less) toy mogul.
And what of Spandam, the spoiled brat son of former CP9 chief Spandine? Should he have a happy and successful fate like these other two villains?

Hmmmm, who knows? It would make some sense. Sounds like a good future cover story.
Personally, I am curious about the current one. What's going through Eneru's mind? What's he going to do to that space pirate that stabbed his little "friend"? :ninja:
-
Personally I'd like to see him scrub toilets for the rest of his life.
-
haha, good question. Furthermore, do you consider foxy among these villains? perhaps the subject of the next cover story will deal with foxy's fate after all.
I wouldn't say helmeppo is badass - he's certainly much improved though, having actually worked to earn his status rather than just having it handed to him. he's still kind of a joke.
-
Depends on Spandine I think. If he's still in the World Government and ranked highly enough, then he might have enough influence to make scapegoats out of CP9 and the Navy while Spandam is let off with a slap on the wrist at worst.
Otherwise, he's probably going to be a janitor in the most remote World Government facility in the entire world. He let Franky destroy the plans, let Nico Robin escape, and was directly responsible for the destruction of the entire Enies Lobby facility. A five year operation went to waste, the Navy lost a battleship and its crew, and the World Government's credibility on the world stage took a massive hit as the Navy and Judiciary both look like a complete joke thanks to the Straw Hats.
-
I don't want to see Spandam turn badass. Helm wasn't really a bad guy, in my opinion, so I didn't mind him turning cool, but Spandam is a coward who hides behind strong guys and bitchslaps hot girls.
…alot...
And I found exteme pleasure watching Sogeking blast the shit out of him and Robin breaking 'em up if not completely killing him.
-
Oda seems to like to torture Spandam so no, i think he'll get the crappiest fate ever.

What a more crappy fate than being forced to watch Inuyasha and the Street Fighter Live Action movie for eternity. Truly worse than any death I'd say
-
Robin killed him, he's dead.
Waits for 10,000 idiots to flame him with, "No one dies in One Piece" BS
-
I'm thinking that Spandam finds religion.
-
@Fire Fist:
Robin killed him, he's dead.
Are you kidding? Nobody dies in one piece. Nobody.
Besides who wouldn't want to see him strapped to a chair stuck watching Teletubbies marathon in a dark dark room.

Nobody?
Marines: Damn!! A flaming net…!!
Thanks to him, we totally lost sight of the Straw-Hat crew. What should we do, Captain?!
Someone killed Mr. 11 when we left him on the ship, too.Failed.
-
I'm just saying it'd be funnier to see him get tortured instead of dead, but he could be dead. asking for it with the BS comment.
-
Spandam's no super human. He's not coming out of the Enies Lobby incident with only a few bruises and bandaged appendeges.
Then again, this could be the Pell syndrome all over again and Spandam survives without a single injury, which I'm hoping doesn't happen. I want that woman beater to have payed for what he did.
-
AHAH! I knew he was dead!!
I even alluded to it above.
-
I'd like to see spandam comeback as a vegetable. While having adventures with his polite subordinate Kaku.

And they could have a catchy theme tune!!
-
That theme would put Sogeking to shame.
-
But in all seriousness I always thought the WG would pin the blame on Spandam for screwing up so bad and they would of coarse (or is it course) try to execute him as a message that fuck ups aren't allowed.
This would drive spandam to become what he hates and that is a pirate running away from the government with Kumadori or some other CP9 for muscle.
-
lets hope he gets the death penality
-

I doubt Foxy will get a cover story because he was in the same condition before and after meeting Luffy, only thing he lost was his spotless win record and his flag.
-
i think spandam is a loose characture of george w bush.. spoiled preppy twit who's the son of a brutal asshole.
george h w bush [his dad] was director of the CIA as well.
connections are endless..
no wonder it feels so good inside to see him get his kamuffins ;]on that note spandams fate is = eternal whipping boy
-
Haha, I thought about it a while back. This was my take on it.
But really there's no way to know, Oda could have CP9 do ANYTHING.
-
i think Spandam will be wheelchaired for life….... because Robin broke his back...... but I am sure he will survive..... because of the Pell syndrome....
-
Even if he's not permanently crippled (which wouldn't be surprised, the man seems to be as resilient as a cockroach), he's in a world of troubles.
Thousands of soldiers and government officials witnessed him summoning the Buster Call by mistake, and a high ranked Marine officer heard him ly in the name of Admiral Aokiji out of frustration, a lie that could have costed the WG the way to the Ancient Weapons for ever.
Even if Daddy still has some powers and responsabilities, I highly doubt Spandam will get out of this situation unscattered.

You have a good point, and I'm not saying you're wrong, but Usopp's mask fell off shortly upon the Strawhat's arrival, and we all thought that would have some effect on Usopp's role in the story. Then we got nothing, nada, zip. It could be the same thing here; no effect on anything.
