How long do you guys think this arc will be? I assume with how long it’s been built up and how much Oda knows Luffy, Usopp and the fan base has been looking forward to this for so long that it will be a particularly long arc
Your thoughts?

@Shiebs I think this one will go over 100 chapters. ~3 years in real time.
@Deicide totally agree, especially with how long egghead was, Oda just can’t help himself on even smaller arcs let alone one that’s been being built up for over two decades
So, Elbaf has the strongest army of a individual nation, right? Now...where do the Giant Warrior Pirates fit into it? Are they sort of like what Sai is to Kano in being unofficial privateers of a sort?
Why is the title for this thread Think elbaf and not 'Elbaph Discussion' ?
I don't think it will be three years long but I do think it will be longer than Egghead. I'm leaning towards Loki being the main antagonist right now but we need to see who he has on his side first, beyond random beasts Luffy already tamed and random prisoners with no face.
Some of the things I expct to see in this arc are:
-Reuniting with Harjudin (duh)
-Luffy releasing Loki and that leading to chaos
-Luffy vs. Kid
-Robin reuniting with Saul. But only in the back-half of the arc after this plot illness improves
-Scopper Gaban / Mystery Man revealing where the fourth poneglyph is
-Nika and friends flashback / exploration of the myth
-The crew learning of Vivi's whereabouts and the final say on whether they do go and retrieve her (yes please) or not
-Yamato cover story ending with Blackbeard attacking Wano and Yamato being force to leave it to find Luffy
-Something Urogue / Sky Island related
To me, the big factor on how long this arc will be is whether or not we get any outside interference, like Shanks or Blackbeard or the Big Mom pirates. Right now I don't see a reason for that to happen but if it does then that brings in more characters and more plots to follow-up on / conclude.

This is a 17-year-old thread that got necromanced a few weeks ago and everyone thought it was too funny to not turn it in to the official Elbaph thread.

Because this thread predates that naming convention by over a decade.
What are the chances Big Mom And/or her crew appear this arc? Given all her ties to Elbaf
@Robby Yep, October 2007

Oh, I'm fully expecting it, ever since Wholecake. We need more details about what Streusen and that giant actually saw on that flashback.
I think I'm in the minority but I never believed that Linlin ate all the kids and Mother Carmel and that's how she got her powers.
I'm betting Linlin was in her "food-trance" when the Cipher Pols appeared, killed Mother Carmel (whose fruit transfered to some fruit near Linlin) and then took the kids since that's what the orphanage was for.
The state of shock from the giant and the laughs from Streusen were because Linlin didn't even bat an eye or noticed while they took her family, maybe she just swatted some Chiper Pol agents and kept eating.

I get the big suspicion that much of this arc will be spent reuniting characters together more than a big bad villain Luffy has to fight long-term. Less like Dressrosa and more like Zou basically.
