I don't know why everyone assumes that Garp communicates with Dragon. Isn't it possible that Dragon was just mentioned in one of Smoker's reports to headquarters as to why Luffy escaped? Of course it's still possible that they communicate but nothings confirmed.
Garp and Dragon

because Garp says "He [Dragon] said he saw you at Loguetown", so he obviously had a conversation with him.

well if Garp communicated with Dragon the revolutionist(sp?), why didn't he at least corner him.
i mean, he may be his son, but he's the worlds most wanted criminal u know.
if Garp managed to corner Gol D. Roger, who was a world threat, why couldn't he corner his own son Dragon ????

because absolute justice is evil.

garp says: "he tell me he saw you in loguetown" "me contó que te encontró en loguetown" "contoume que el te encontrou en loguetown" and in a lot of languages XD with any doubt, garp talk with dragon. And another thing: garp corner roger, but it doesn´t mean "garp's as powerful as roger" or something like that. He's a hero surely beacuse he make a trick and catch roger, or a thing like smoker defeacted luffy in loguetown (luffy was in his firsts footsteps as a pirate).
-
Or perhaps Dragon just gave Garp a Den Den Mushi call. No?
-
seriously if the WG found out between the communication of Shanks and white beard, why can't they know about the communication between Garp and Dragon
-
maybe Garp is as good as his heroes title…... besides, he is a D afterall.....
-
Furthermore, Garp doesn´t seem to be interested in cornering his grandson either and he´s a wanted criminal too.

I don't think Luffy and Dragon are of the same case [although I do think Garp isn't interested in arresting Dragon]. I mean, Dragon is directly aiming to destroy the ones that Garp serving, while Luffy is purely acting on his own to beat the guys he think are bad and to be the PK [yeah, I'm tired of writing Pirate King all the time. Adopt it! Let the empire begin!].
-
it could have been even more simpler. Garp may have communicated with Dragon via snail mail…or in One Piece, seagull...mail?
-
The Revolutionist Leader must be contacting the Govt. Demands or their plans or how they hate them.
So he probably talked to Garp on the phone and mentioned this stuff.

Err, Luffy´s course of action was responsible for completely destroying Enies Lobby which is said to be the front door of the World Government. Not to mention that he already took down a Shichibukai which endangers the world in that way that the balance of the three powers can get out of balance. Luffy may not directly aim to take down the WG but the course of actions he takes consequently have exactly that result.
-
yes but…we are talking of if garp talks with dragon, not of that...
but I think luffy will destroy the WG in the future! but for now, that isn't his intention (but he does it XD)
-
Garp was either contacted by den den mushi from Dragon, or Dragon met with Garp in person, but what is for sure is that he did talk with him after the Lougetown arc.
-
Dont u find it a bit strange that a VA is related to a revolutionary and a PK(i have adopted the Pirate King abbev). There is more than meets the eye here. Remember what dragon said "pirate thats good".It seems there are big plans for our hero that he is not aware and maybe grap and dragon noe these plans
-
Or perhaps Dragon is just proud that his son chose a path in life that goes against the ideals of the WG instead of joining the Marines which would be the contrary.
-
I've been thinking. Perhaps there are no laws against forming an orginized rebilion in the WG. But Dragon is labbed as a criminal unjustly. So Garp is using a loophole.
-
I don't know, maybe its just me but with the way Garp acts he seems to try and be cold/tough but he really passes off like a big ol' softy. For all we know Dragon's (far stretch) personality could = Luffy's, I'd lol. Also, he could have a mind of his own he is a dramatic pause duh duh duh "D."
