Sakamoto Days
-
Wow I didn't expect him to just go.
-
I still miss the Sakamoto shopkeeping antics now that we've gone full shonen, but hey at least the fight and psychology aren't half bad.
-
@Seafarer33 I wish the chinese mafia girl is more involved. Now she's just sidelined which is sad. Could be the popularity poll but she seem to be replaced by other female characters.
-
Well this is a weird twist.
-
Maybe this guy develops new personalities from some of the people he met/killed. And of course this comes with perfect mannerisms, a copy of their fighting styles and even pseudo memories because multiple personality disorder is magic.
-
Just caught up. Love this manga. Hoping for an anime announcement soon. You guys think it’s likely?
-
Almost definitely. Wouldn't be surprised if it got one announced next year.
-
So this is that new Order member huh? Things are getting more interesting by the minute
-
I'm not keeping up with the story at all at this point. But the action is fun. Loving the sniper guy.
-
I forgot like half of the new people and I've only just binged this like 3 months ago. I can never get over the crosshair tattoo on the gun guy. I hate it.
Also bones would be good for the anime.
-
I'm still following the series and as far as shonens go it is definitely in the upper tier, but it kinda lost its charm? It has progressively shifted to a serious assassin story and the Sakamoto family antics that drew me in at the start only seem to be there as an afterthought these days. :/
Every now and then there's still a gold nugget such as Sakamoto's daughter turning deer-head guy into a deadly toy, but...Too many serious guys who are fighting seriously are stealing the show.
-
I'm loling everytime the snipper is reducer to the muzzle of the gun.
I still find it one of the consistantly best reads in Jump - it doesn't take itself too seriously and always has something interesting going on. The story could focus more on the girls, I miss when they had more screentime though.
-
Bullet curving is not a thing, can we get over that concept in non supernatural stories? And I guess sniper is a girl.
-
It's a story of super humans with some of them having super powers. Bullet curving is one of the least farfetched thing in this story.
-
What do you mean? Mind reading, seeing the future, slimming down and losing your facial hair and reversing this process within an absurdly short amount of time, realistically disguising yourself as other people including their voices, hiding weapons inside your stitched up body that you can pull out and put away at a moment's notice, all of those are a thing and not supernatural at all.

Can attest, all are super common in the Global South.
-
I think the snipper is Dio
-
I would concur, except I don't even remember who Dio is supposed to be. That's what I get for reading too casually ^^;
-
oh, it's just a bad joke derived from the "it's me, Dio!!!" meme from Jojo. sorry
-
I can tolerate superhuman feats, psychic abilities, precognition, phisical transformations and inmortal people, but I draw the line at curving bullets.
Anyway, we didn't see the sniper's face, but the rifle gag is good anyway.
-
The rifle gag is great. The scene where he's thinking about the two of them hanging out and it's just two guns being the best of friends cracked me up.
-
They don't even consider Lu as a possible fourth member. She might as well have returned to China with her gang.
-
okay with this Lu is going to be an npc going forward its pretty much the nail in the coffin
-
Lu exists as a plot device so that there is an explanation as to why Wutang helps Sakamoto.
-
Yeah it does kinda suck that Lu has been relegated to the background, especially given every other female character introduced has ended up being taken away from the core group by the villains.
-
we are still naive thinking that one day a series from this magazine will have truly badass female characters that stand on equal term with their male counterparts.
sad. maybe ill rewatch jojo part 6 again or something.
wait nevermind there's akane banashi and previously act age
i guess if it isn't action and fighting there's a chance -
Go read Undead Unluck. If you catch up to the latest arc, you won't be able to say that (and even before that Fuuko was great).
-
@fana cool i'll check it out. I probably will look to the anime first but thanks for letting me know about that.
-
Just let that guy explode, really.
-
I love when this manga goes silly like that.
-
It was quite effective on me, ngl. I literally smile with the ENTER scene this chapter, good stuff
