I'm on to you, man!
The Ichinose Family's Deadly Sins

I'm on to you, man!

It's weird seeing this trope played straight after so many memes and edgy theories. There's still something more to it, since apparently the other family members exist and aren't just part of Tsubasa's imagination. Or else it wouldn't make sense that they disappear after fulfilling their arcs, independently from Tsubasa's memories.

Dreams within Dreams

Ok, but who or what is Sota and why does he want everyone to stop remembering?
Random prediction: he's a shinigami who wants to take Tsubasa, but his family isn't letting him (both physically by keeping him on machines and mentally by the loop/dreaming stuff. The mom recognized him because she saw him in the accident, being near death and all.

There's like a new twist every chapter; I can't keep up.

This is the first title I check out out of the batch every week. And after this chapter, it has cleverly made me feel some dejavu so I went reviewing the last few chapters. In chapter 16, Tsubasa confronts Sota, Minako wakes up. In chapter 19, Tsubasa forgets, and in chapter 20 he confronts Sota again. I think that's how it's going?
I can't think of who Sota can be and what his motives are, but I'm excited to find out. It's having a bumpy ride in the "ranking" but I hope it pulls through.

This is getting ridiculous with so many twists but I can't stop reading it.

Grandma:
Murdering own grandson >>>remembering you have Alzheimer's + whatever else was going onI knew Tsubasa was a goner for the zillionth time when it showed him and Grams on that cliff .
-
Patiently waiting for Takopoii to show up at this point.
-
Some theories going around about the grandma not wanting the dream to end because she was remembering something IRL. There's also a panel where her face grows pale when they arrive. What's up with Sota looking around at the bus station?

Reverse Uno card.

What a misdirection! Make the readers drop their guard on grandpa because he's so aware of everything, and we completely don't bat an eye to his kindness towards Tsubasa being a symptom. Even after Tsubasa keeps pointing out that grandpa's way of cheering him up is always the same. Because that's a normal thing that everyone does! The panel of Sachie's memory of him hits a lot more, aw!

Makes sense that the dreams continue, since both mom and dad had them too. Now the cliffhanger of the week is what happened to Shiori in the timeskip.
-
There isn't a true villain but the mom seems to be at the center of things. She's putting people to sleep but got triggered at the thought of the grandma being able to rest. Emotional rise, unhinged, deranged, but... people be complex creatures.
Ichinose and Witch Watch were my top reads this week. They're scraping topics that are hitting home.

While the mystery is still interesting to me, I don't like that there's no real sense of progression. While some stuff apparently is set in stone now (Tsubasa was in coma 4 years, all of the looping stuff at the beginning was part of a shared dream the family had for years), in general new stuff keeps getting added to the main mystery. I guess I'd like if Tsubasa started "recruiting" family members to his side to help investigating. Only happened with the grandpa, and that led to nowhere because of alzheimer plus he's dead or something now.

Might've gotten a warning, if not already. It's unfortunate, but I see what you mean.
Looking back at the bottom 5 for the last few issues, it did manage to stay out of it a couple times though. No idea how Cipher is still hanging out, I didn't realize a story revolving around iroha would be that popular, heh.
Issue 32:
- Tenmaku
- Black Clover
- Fabricant 100
- Do Retry
- Ichinose (first time hit bottom, correspond to around chapter 24?)
Issue 31:
- Undead Unluck
- Cipher Academy
- Tenmaku
- Fabricant 100
- Do Retry
Issue 30:
- Ichinose
- Do Retry
- Black Clover
- Tenmaku
- Fabricant 100
Issue 29:
- Undead Unluck
- Do Retry
- Ichinose
- Fabricant 100
- Tenmaku
Issue: 28:
- Cipher Academy
- Undead Unluck
- Tenmaku
- Mashle
- Fabricant 100

Minako is shady but what she said this chapter hit close to home. Similar thoughts and feelings to what minako voiced this chapter were shared on a handful of occasions back when my mom used to help caregive for my great grandpa. Props to taizan5 for nailing that convo.
It's been established that minako is drugging tsubasa, but i don't feel like she's the same person responsible for the grandma's coma unless it was a failed murder attempt.

Takopii was really short and many people expected this to be short too. If that was always the intention, coupled with the good early reception, I don't fear this will be cancelled. Mashle ended, Do Restry and Tenmaku flopped, Fabricant is likely dead already, Ice Head Gil doesn't look like it will have a future. So the 100k seller that dropped to 50k is still a better bet than at least 4 othe running manga.
Agree about the writing on the mother's reaction. The part about alzheimer was also well written, which is another reason for which I wished the mystery could be somewhat settled so that the family can start dealing with their issues uninterrupted by constant revelations and plot twists.
