This is the guy who put his feet on Pelosi's desk. I mention this one because from what I've followed the guy's been fairly arrogant about his conduct, acting like a celebrity in the whole thing (ex: Putting his feet up during an FBI interview and said "Look familiar?")
Barnett was charged with eight crimes, including theft of government property and civil disorder. On January 23, a jury in Washington, D.C. found him guilty on all of those counts on their first morning of deliberations.
The Arkansas man became one of the faces of the riot after he was photographed putting his feet up on a desk in former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi’s office. Barnett is one of over 950 defendants charged for their actions that day, according to the Department of Justice.
Jury deliberated for all of 2 hours.

Centrists are so obsessed with tone policing the oppressed that it more than borderlines on condescending. That we would be admonished for wishing the same if not worse upon those that would and do do us harm is one of those things that is so frustrating. Politicians and media figures will use their influence to inflict violence upon us but if we were to even put out the idea of counter-violence we would be instanteously slapped down by various forms of state or private authority.

@pariston_hill I guess I see what he is as somehow more insidious because it's so much more impersonal. Make no mistake, I believe that Trump was a reaction to Obama, but he was never the plan. Jeb or Cruz were the plan. What Trump has done is erode the veneer of civility that Bush Jr. had, as you're kind of saying, Desantis is the Republican Party's playbook loosed from the shackles of civility they thought were important.
Turns out, hatred is stronger than we thought and Desantis is an excellent vessel.
