Few other things… I liked that "Bruce" doesn't look like a rugby player. Really Ben Affleck's Bat-Fat was like 10 to 20 kilos above his health.
About the "masculinity thing" because Batman is a modern James Bond I guess. I think it's okay to have vulnerable Bruce, as long as he doesn't spend the next movies in deep depression.
I'm frustrated that the mental illness of Bruce wasn't exploited enough though. You cannot miss the comparisons with the Riddler and the scene with his mother being sent to a mental facility. Like, if you want to go 400% on the "grounded realistic way", just do it. Maybe in the next films. Even though I don't have much hope for that.
! Patterson is one of the smallest issues in this film.
! And really the main flaw of his detective skills in this film, was not having the foresight to lift up the riddlers carpet.
I don't really get your point then. What are the flaws of his character in your opinion ?
