I mean, “Yamato’s daughter” is in an info box and it hasn’t been confirmed, in so far as I can tell, if the Beasts Pirates referring to Yamato as a “he” fall along the same lines as Kiku’s “woman at heart.”

But Kiku's "woman at heart" line is consistently treated as the sole truth on her gender identity. The only time anything official has contradicted Kiku's identity is in the readings from Oden's journal during the flashback, and even then it's obviously because the journal was written before she came out.
Yamato is a unique case and basically every new development so far has muddied the waters further instead of clearing them.

Yep, it’s not even about the case of whether or not Yamato is wanting to be Oden out of a personal gender lifestyle choice at that point, but that if people are going to try to claim to me that Yamato’s case is as consistent and the same as with Kiku, and that the Beasts Pirates claim to think the same way as Kiku’s mindset, but fail to bring up chapters that support that, like how Chapter 948 mentions Kiku’s woman at heart mindset, then what am I allowed to think then?

I think I lost myself a bit. Where - other than the infamous infobox - has been stated Yamato is a "woman" too? For what I remember the only other case was with Ace's comrades which deduced by the appearance, so without knowing anything about their mindset.
Kaido, All-Stars, Tobi Roppo: every other character which knew them for a while refers Yamato as a male (male son, male little master, etc). On a side note, Luffy calls Yamato "Yama-O" which is "Yama" of Yamato + the kanji for male "O" the very same way he does with Law.
Reasons seems useless to know to me: if he feels like taking Oden to role model even in gender, I can't see the problem.
So i repeat the question: here and there I read about the situation going more and more confusing, but why?

The recap sections of this volume and the next one also reiterate the "daughter" label, and a piece on the series' heroines commissioned in the chapter 1000 celebration also included Yamato.
!
But on the flip side, this colour spread from One Piece Party from around the same time shows a bunch of characters in school uniforms and gives Yamato a boy's uniform instead of a girl's.
!
So Yamato is referred to in masculine terms by characters in the story, in feminine terms in databoxes and recaps (and blurbs apparently) and has one example in either direction in officially commissioned art Shueisha's published. I'm pretty firmly on the he/him train, but the official sources couldn't obfuscate the intended reading harder if they tried.

Honestly, as far as I’m concerned, it seems as if they’re willing to hop on both trains at any time and not consider themselves to be wrong either way, regardless of what others think. lol

It is written Daughter in Synope in Japanese as well.
Stephen uses son when the manga says son but if he says daughter he has to go with that. It's not up to him to "fix" the manga. -

Unless you're saying Stephen has some agenda going which is laughable considering him

I think you misunderstood my comment I was explaining that Stephen was using daughter in the synopsis because it was written like that in Japanese and that he uses son in manga because it is written like that there.
Captain M thinks this choice is "interesting" so I was explaining to him why it was different.
I'm one of the people who thinks of Yamato as a trans man so I don't have a problem with any "agenda" Stephen might have about it. -

Yeah, they seem to want it both ways and we don't have enough background to say why right now.

I figured the English marketing department would write one from scratch to focus on things that appeal to their market (in much the same way novels get different covers even across different English-speaking regions because different cultures respond to different things). You're right this one isn't on Stephen or Viz, it's another example of Shueisha's weird inconsistency on the topic.

Here's his theory about why Shueshia used daughter in this case:
"My personal opinion of why this is the following: For me, this is an attempt (albeit clumsy) by Shueisha's editorial board to somehow emphasize that despite Yamato being a MAN, SON he is still biologically female.
I also think they're just following Oda's own cue, who did it by putting "Kaido's DAUGHTER" in the character's introduction box. After all, the "twist" of the thing needed to be clear somehow." -

The voice of the series really comes through in his tweets.
I agree with the interpretation that Oda did the daughter thing to clarify what was going on, I think Greg might have suggested something similar either in his thread or on twitter once, but it's forever going to be a point of contention that Oda never felt the need to make the same clarifying statement about the unambiguously trans kiku, separating Yamato's treatment from hers. Just an odd little misstep in how the topic's been handled that keeps rearing up.
