Ike called in Yune for a favor, and made some slight changes to Soren just for the nine months. :ninja:
General Fire Emblem Thread - At Least Mario Got a Funeral
-
-
Managed to get Lethe + Caineghis, at the cost of all my orbs lol.
-
Thank god this was not a repeat of the first laguz banner. Needed 209 orbs and got me Lethe, Ranulf and Caineghis (also a Rhajat and an extra low* Legault - still on my way to +10). Still got plenty in case they decide to release Python on the next banner (sry, Mordecai).
-
Okay, after throwing orbs at my phone, this is how things turned out. I focused purely on green, and colorless when there was no green.
Ranulf [HP+/Atk-] - Yes!
Ranulf [HP+/Res-] - YES!
Ranulf [HP+/Def-] - YEEEESSSS! WHY AM I GETTING SO MANY HP+ THO?
Adrift Corrin [Spd+/Res-] - Niece is going to be so happy.
Brave Ephraim [Atk-/Res+] - Yay, but bleh those IVs.
Lugh [Atk+/Def-] - Nice. I'm digging the IV too.
Caineghis [Atk+/Spd-] - Even better. Why couldn't I have this much luck with IVs with any of the Ranulfs? Oh well.Going to continue pulling. Honestly, this is what I came for. If there is any reason to spend all orbs, it's for my baby boy. I'd merge the Ranulfs but I'm second guessing making HP his boon. I mean, his potential seems to lie in his tankiness, so maybe high HP is a good thing. But a Def+ or an HP+ would be nice.
-
how many orbs did you lose?

I spent well over 200, and I don't regret it an ounce. Already trained Ranulf to level 40. Now I'm just SP farming for him. Might have him and Ike tag along for Forging Bonds.

Yeah that was about how much I spend to get Lethe - Caineghis was an unexpected surprise. So now I have a 2nd beast team with those two, Panne and Ninian (who keeps them transformed + makes Cain more further).
Would've been nice to get my boy Mordecai but oh well, you gotta know when to quit in gacha. -
26th July. Return of the spreadsheets.
-
Go back to the kitchen and make me a sandwich.
-
Boy oh boy, am I not interested in this banner. Also, free sandwich throwing Leo for TT.
What the crap are going to be the TT characters? This is the first time we've done this kind of a holiday theme.
-
Who comes up with these themes? I mean, it's not baaaad but why picnics?
-

It's a Japan thing I guess. Is it this usually the time for the Cherry Blossoms?
By the way, I always assumed that the unknow man that Genny married at the end of Gaiden/SoV that surprised everybody was either Lucas or Saber. And I guess this banner answered that question, lol.
-
Well, at least the maids have weapons effective against beasts.
It's a Japan thing I guess. Is it this usually the time for the Cherry Blossoms?
This is true. A picnic under the cherry blossoms is considered a tradition.
-
Pretty wholesome banner with some Valentia love sprinkled in. Although I'm not really going to roll, maybe see if I can get Genny at least.
-
very disappointed that Lukas doesn't fight with a cheesecake
-
Oh the irony, I got Lukas . . . . but not the special Lukas. D'oh.
-
I know this is the Fire Emblem thread, but this is a sneak peek to the free unit for Dragalia LostxFEH event.
Also some cute art of Feh and Notte
!
-
I know I'm late in saying this but
Fire Emblem GX.
-
So warp tiles are back huh?
Does that mean that mean healing staffs missing will be a thing again?:ninja: -
Whoever decided healing staves could miss should have been summarily executed.
-
@S.C.:
Whoever decided healing staves could miss should have been summarily executed.
healing missing isn't the big issue here
it's whoever decided that heal staves could double that must be stopped. shit wastes so many goddamn uses -
Three Houses' Anna.
-
nice .
-
Three Houses' Anna.
https://pbs.twimg.com/media/D4_SLeEWkAEeQOa?format=png&name=small
Very nice. But what is she, a teacher?
-
She goes to every school and convinces the students to help her make money through her many fundraisers.
"IF YOU SELL THE MOST, I'LL GIVE YOU A WHOLE VULNERARY!" [excited and cheering teens]
-
Anna sells the textbooks.
-
@Cyan:
Anna sells the textbooks.
"It sure is weird that the texts get updated every semester and we have to buy them again from Miss Anna at unreasonable prices"
-
"Miss Anna? I finished this book for the semester. Can I sell it back?"
No one heard from that student again.
-
What silly things you children try to trade for gold.
-
Now I REALLY hope Anna is a teacher. Or a librarian or something.
-
Our boy finally got his day!
My only problem is, I have every single character in this banner except Roy (who I wouldn't mind getting) and Christmas Ephraim (which I can skip). I may go for colorless and red just for Alm and Roy, but I probably shouldn't push it. Maybe I should skip.
I really wish they'd start allowing Pair Up with some of the already existing Legendary Units.
-
Oohh, I do like a good archer unit.
I have most of these guys, but there are a few I'm willing to drop orbs for.
-
So with Legendary Alm in, that just means that Brave Alm is 100% going to be his classic dick armor.
-
Berkut with his stand [This Girl is On Fire]
-
[DISCO INFERNO]
Yay! A banner to skip and save orbs! I'll try free pulls for Berkut, though.
-
.Mareeta getting in is one step closer to the Shannam dream
-
Shit. Berkut is using Duma's voice mixed with his in the japanese version.
Why only Japan gets the cool stuff?
-
I might spend a few orbs to try for Berkut.
-
Has someone paid attention to the 3 houses character trailers? Are they any good?
-
Has someone paid attention to the 3 houses character trailers? Are they any good?
It's only the characters sharing three lines of dialogue. I could hardly call those trailers.
-
While still rumor this poster from reddit has leaked the Fumitsu stuff for 3H so I could be true but I will post it in spoilers:
! - There's a five year timeskip at one point in the game. It's a central and dramatic event.
- They seemingly aren't doing the "making children" stuff again
- There's a new variant of "skinship" (which I believe is the kind of petting minigame there was in Fates) but it's done "much classier" and is more akin to a tea conversation
- The game has very close connections to Genealogy of the Holy War, such as darker storylines and similar characterization. ach noble "house" has access to certain crests + weapons. Weapons are supposed to be linked to the crests of each character. The weapons are wieldable by units who don't have the respective crest, but there are _very dire consequences…
- Claude gets a Wyvern in his main promotion
- There are LGBT supports/relationships, moreso with female Byleth than the male version (but there are still some for the male version)
- Lynhart should be bisexual at the very least. He has quite a unique character that delves beyond his sexuality.
- Dimitri's backstory: He is the sole survivor of his family's massacre and suffers greatly because of it. Much of his storyline revolves around this and his battle with his own mental health. His father is actually from the country east of Leicester, beyond the mountains (Almyra, I believe). You get at least two other characters from there. Lorentz dislikes Claude because he technically should be the next leader of Leicester and doesn't believe Claude deserves his position... or something like that. Claude's storyline revolves around his heritage, which kind of separates him from Edelgard's and Dimitri's stories.
! - The story overall is a HUGE improvement over Fates/Awakening. The leaker gives it a 9 on a scale to 10, with Fates being a 2.
- You can't get all characters in a single run, but you can recruit at some point some characters from one of the houses you didn't choose.
- The swordswoman in the first trailer's name is Catherine.
- Rhea's advisor is named Setes. We'll also be getting characters named Cyril and Elio(?). And another Monastery worker.
- You do fight students from the routes you didn't pick at one point, and you kill them. [this implies there's, as expected, a war between the three houses at some point]
- "I feel like Three Houses is the opposite of Fates in terms of marketing. The school setting was just a facade for a much darker storyline. And there will be more than three countries involved… "
- There are four story paths in the game, and they don't converge. Edelgard's House has two paths.
- Edelgard is a lot more ruthless than previous female lords.
! - There's indeed dating in this game, between the main character and the students/non-students characters.
- Status effects and debuffs are definitely back but I'm unsure about the restore staff. There should be an alternative for it if there isn't one though.
- The story is more akin to Radiant Dawn's, where each chapter is a small part of a greater "part." Part 1 has a heavy focus on the academy, for example, while Part 2 does not.
- The fanservice is more subdued this time around. Dorothea and Manuela are probably the closest you'll get from the characters revealed so far, but even they are quite different from the likes of Camilla or Tharja.
- Dedue was one of the bandits that attacked and killed Dimitri's family. Dimitri kept him as a bodyguard, which is why Dedue "owes him a great debt."
- "The maps are actually pretty subpar from what I've heard. The story and characterization make up for most of them, though."
Splits like Fates story wise from the looks of it.
Also is anyone surprised you can date your students?
! Blue house coninues to be worst house, guy is Sasuke_
-
[hide]As gross as it is to have teachers date your students, I'll admit: It's more of a fantasy 'teacher/student' relationship like Erk and Priscilla. Or Cyrus and Therese from Octopath Traveler. Where the difference in age between characters is minimal, and somehow the teacher is at a younger age to teach someone at a similar age. Often because the someone who hired said teacher wants to arrange a marriage.
I can forgive that… Somewhat.
Glad we have bisexual options. I wonder how long it will take until someone makes a 'romanceable' chart like that did for Fates.[/hide]
-
here's the actual famitsu info, let's not take leaks and rumors too seriously until we have something more concrete
-
Oh, the Genealogy bloodlines are back.
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
I'm reading and holy fuck this is sounding like a FE/Dynasty Warriors/Total War mashup I've had fever dreams about.
-
"Crest of Fraldarius – A crest said to have belonged to Fraldarius of Fódlan’s Ten Greats."
… hehe
-
@Cyan:
Oh, the Genealogy bloodlines are back.
Fire Emblem: War for Eugenics

So, question. If you make a unit into a Mercenary, for example, can you choose if they use a sword or axe, then when they promote, they get to use both? The same with Brigands and axes and gauntlets?

jobs with multiple proficiencies have access to those proficiencies just by being in the class, but you can augment them further with Professor Skills that allow them to wield other weapon types. The example they give is Hubert, classed as a Dark Mage, equipping the "Equip Bows" Skill, allowing him to wield both Dark Magic and Bows despite Dark Mage not having natural access to both.
It's also noted that Mercs and Fighters are a bit closer to their promoted forms this time around, having natural access to Swords/Axes and Axes/Bows/Gauntlets naturally.
