I think the one issue about finding out how this all happened is Kaido. If Oden died 20 years ago, did Kaido just leave Wano, but then came back? Has he been here all this time? Hopefully, some random villager can explain a bit more next chapter.
Chapter 918: Luffytaro Repays the Favor

Considering the timeline what I believe is:
20 years ago Oden left Wano to sail with Roger. Therefore he left his subjects to be controlled by Orochi. When he came back he tried to resist Orochi's rise to power, which he might have succeded in if not for Kaidou's recent interference. To me Momo was talking about meeting with Ace before, which we know has visited Wano recently.

I don't buy that Momo met Ace. The theory was shaky enough as it is, as it treats Momo as an idiot, that Ace never gave out his name, etc. etc. But the introduction of Tama just makes it all the more flimsy. It's through her that Oda is clearly pushing the whole Ace/Wano connection, not Momo. Not that it'd be impossible for Ace to conveniently have also met him somehow, but it really doesn't feel like Oda would tie both kids to Ace. Even moreso when considering how "off" the whole timeline of events seem to be.

On the contrary: to have ANOTHER character coming to Wano and meeting with Momo would be redundant. If Oden sailed with Whitebeard too then it would make sense for Ace to visit him as well (Edit: Ace visited Wano as part of his own crew? Not sure now, but this part of my argument might be incorrect).
Also, just to clarify, in this scenario Ace never revealed that he was Rogers son. Momo just thought they looked alike, or maybe he is just remembering a strong pirate and associated this with the stories his father told about Roger.. -
@uniaka:
Nope, the oldest famine was when ace got here. And since it's based on kaidou's factories, it's even less likely to be so for so long.
You have nothing to hold your claim.
On the contrary, every exposition given on chapter 914 and 915 only reinforce the Idea that it all started 20 years ago. For instance, it's when Orochi started kicking people out of Bakura Town and so Okobore was created.

Momo just thought they looked alike, or maybe he is just remembering a strong pirate and associated this with the stories his father told about Roger..Huh, I thought we're just talking about Ace and Roger. For it to be someone completely new is extremely unlikely.
And yea, I never said that Ace would have to reveal that he's Roger's son. All he'd literally have to do is say that his name is Ace. Aside from all that, I just don't buy that Momo would confuse Ace for Roger. I went along with it at the time because we as the readers know that they're related, so yea, maybe Momo somehow got them mixed up. But between this chapter, Tama being a thing, as well as previously addressed concerns with the timeline, I'm definitely leaning towards taking Momo at face value.

The spoilers mentioning Sai being with two other grand fleet members in the cover seemed odd since the Reverie is happening. Since we only see the characters and their jolly rogers/emblems split into three panes, the confusion is gone, but I'm disappointed in whatever this is supposed to be. I hope it leads into Bellamy and whatever flag he's designed.
With Law saying he doesn't like killing people, I wonder what his involvement was in the Rocky Port incident.

I think he meant that he just chops them up with his DF which doesn't really kill them.

That panel with the woman about to stab her baby then hang herself..
Shit, Oda. I haven't seen you do anything that dark in.. forever. No way is the anime including that. -

Yeah, he's good at inserting some really fucked up stuff when you don't see it coming.

Is it really the "worst possible scenario" though ? If Jack shows up and faces Luffy, Zoro and Law, to me it looks he's the one who's screwed

He won't be brought down easily, and it's been stated that his fighting causes the surrounding area to transform into a wasteland. So that could be bad for the Okobore residents.

But we got to hype the guy that's been on a losing streak since his introduction. Also he can inform Kaido and the rest they are around or just beat the hell out of the weaker people.

I guess it's more a case of Jack being able to stall them for a freaking long time, even if he's outnumbered.
I mean those Impel Down awakened Zoans were trashed by Croc, Jinbe and Luffy, but even they could recover after a few minutes due to the nature of their zoan powers. Just imagine how annoying it will be to take down Jack for good, a Yonkou top commander with an awakened Ancient Mammoth Zoan.
So far he had to be kicked into the ocean or overwhelmed by Admirals. -

Win or lose, I hope Jack isn't taken out for good this early. I want the Minks and Raizou to pay him back.
-
I ain't 'fraid of no ghost.
-
real mystery here is who saved Jack?, how did he find him, like stuck in the middle of the ocean, right in the bottom and someone stumbled upon him and was able to carry him out. wow

Given his attempt to rescue Doflamingo also resulted in him being presumed dead in a big naval battle, I'd imagine that Jack has a tendency to be reckless when fighting near water, given he can't drown. His subordinates probably are aware that there is a good chance they'll be fishing him out of the waters if he's in some naval battle.
Now all I can imagine is them literally fishing him out. They wait for days hoping Jack can get his mouth around a hook.
-
Looks like my theory about Kiku being a ghost just got more likely.

Or his eyelid.

Well, he seems to be fishman type of guy. So living under the water is no problem for him. I guess Kaidou has other fishman type pirates under his command. He can easily send them for the rescue.

It looked to me that he called upon the fish to help him out. I never got the impression that he was talking to his crew.

If yonkou crews are balanced, Jack can't be more then another cracker( no 1000 soldiers, but that makes him the only target even with zoan). With law and zoro that are great swordmen next to him, luffy will beat him on easy mode.
Zoan awakening or not, if law cuts you into pieces, or zoro, or law removes your heart without luffy even touching you, I don't see how it helps.
Hawkins sure is the downfall of the beats pirates. Like even now he doesn't tell anything to kaidou or else he would not send just jack, not after kaidou heard that luffy defeated 2 sweet commanders in the same arc.

Well, BM pirates were a family long before Kaidou went and started to gather his Zoan army. We still don't know if he had a huge crew before his World War II ideas so his 3 Calamities could be really strong, Katakuri level maybe if awakenend. Since his henchmen are most fodder with some exceptions, i can't see Kaidou beign the only formidable opponent and we will just watch Luffy One-shot guys for 2 years until the final battle with Kaido himself.
Also there is the Orochi & retainers side and they could also prove to be a force to reckon with …most likely Zoro's time to shine.

As far as I know Jacks CoA might be far above what Luffy, Zoro, Law and Sanji have. Meaning that Law would be unable to cut Jack and nothing will knock him out. Nothing beside King Kong Gun. Even Zunisha attack did not KOed him for good.
Like Luffy was unable to land a hit on Katakuri I expect that Jack will be someone impossible to heavily damage. I can already see Jack taking to chest Luffys G4 Organ Gattling and walking it off, same with G4 Kong Gun sending Jack flying but also him avoiding heavy damage from taking it because of his haki and zoan toughness.
-
Jack's great coa is complete assumption, nothing hints at it. And with all 3 enemies there, he would have to be full body coa the full battle, as in abuse it and it will run out fast.
Katakuri himself looked to have superior coa to luffy yet it didn't count in the end. Vergo himself was sure his coa was superior enough to counter law's slashes. If jack is focused on zoro and luffy, he won't see law from behind steal the heart. Like with doflamingo that likely had superior haki to law but law distracted him with luffy to land the gamma knife.

One of them should have a Full body CoA like Kata's fist had in the fight when he said his enhanced CoA is better then Luffy's and :uffy's arm hurt.

Given that jack is a swordsman possibly, he might fight zoro

Given that jack is a swordsman possibly, he might fight zoro
its really most likely Orochi

Given that jack is a swordsman possibly, he might fight zoro
Gotoryu maybe!
Hands, tusks with possible appendages and a trunk swinging the last one.
Those sickles of his look weird, considering his size. I imagine, if he were a swordsman, he'd have a more imposing weapon. And those sickles didn't have anything memorable about them. It's like they're more of a tool and less a dedicated fighting style, similar to BB's guns, for example.

its really most likely Orochi
For an arc this big, on a Swordsman Island, I doubt Zoro will have just one serious clash.
Just hope Sanji can make enough sandwiches in time.

Yeah, JB just called them "family of evil" and MS "demons".

Shuten maru can't be friends with Leftovers town if he steals from kaidou but doesn't give to them too like luffy now. And what is up with O tama's grandpa? His story was left in the air, he was strong enough to kick someone like luffy out of his house and he also said he is waiting for someone. Kinemon ally?

Abot your concern Zoro didn't recognize the mountain (which is probably the main base of the Rebellion-alliance):
Zoro has no sense of orientation/direction. Maybe he also sucks at recognizing local Points of interest.I just now see your reply, I wasn't tagged. And yeah It does make sense why Zoro didn't recognized…

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rip_Van_Winkle
"Rip Van Winkle" is a short story by the American author Washington Irving first published in 1819. It follows a Dutch-American villager in colonial America named Rip Van Winkle who falls asleep in the Catskill Mountains and wakes up 20 years later, having missed the American Revolution.
Inspiration by Oda?

What an awesome chapter. really liking Wano…the flow/pace is fast but not too fast...Could this be the crew where Luffy & co defeat all 3 calamaties before going against Kaidou? Jack might going down soon.
