Orlumbus cover story is super useless, and at the same time, possibly the best out of all the SH Fleet cover stories.
Good chapter! The art feels different from usual, but that's Oda basically adapting the entire entrance to the island to classic ukyo-e drawings, which is a great detail and rendition.
The only thing that felt weird was how fast the whirlpool situation happened. After so many double spreads, he only had time for two of the tinniest pannels ever to resolve the whole situation.
And we're back with Luffy alone and, yeah, maybe, just MAYBE, this is starting to get a bit old.
Other than that, I'm happy that Oda still has creativity left in spades. I was weary Wano was going to be the "everything's grey and edgy cause this is the edgy and dark arc!", but, at least the first two chapters, have been incredibly colorful and zany, which I wasn't expecting.
@Sereques:
I'm beginning to find Sanji's gag very boring.
Agreed. Specially after what we've been through on WCI, I thought he would've changed a tiny bit.
Thankfully, it seems Oda is toning down Brook, or at least has been toning him down for a while now, which I appreciate a lot.
Oh, and it's great to see Carrot being Luffyesque in the face of danger and adventures.
@AvocadoInTheRain:
The Octopus was slowly making its way onto the ship the whole chapter.

Didn't notice that. This is brilliant!
@RobZilla:
I thought that was a pretty good plot device to limit our knowledge as well as give us some good comedy moments/callbacks
Maybe that's just me though
Of all the ways Oda could've used to make to limit our (and the crew's) knowledge about the potential alliance, this was pretty clever.
Anyways, I guess at least Rebecca/Shirahoshi are one of the slices Sanji made, which brings us to this thing that's creeping me out. They're 16, for fuck's sake. Could Oda please stop making the entire One Piece world fall in love with a 16 yo kid, please?
