Hello, I used to watch one piece as a kid but wouldn't have time to watch it now because of the length of episodes. The project you have going here is very cool. Is there any clean way to access all the episodes in One Pace? I have visited onepace.net but can't find a page like that.

Every single episode is on the homepage. You can select the arc and episode you want to view there.

Yep! We were approached by a user of our Discord named Jojojoe3, and he's been designing the new website for the past week.
We're still open to feedback on how to improve it further, but it's definitely way more functional and nice looking than the previous iteration.

Great! Just one little thing, what I liked about the previous blog websites was the overview for the most recent releases. We get informed about new ones in the forum obviously but it'd be cool and probs more important to have that on the website too.

well I would recommend having the background of the website a shade grey or black because in my opinion the dark blue clashes with the rest of the website.
-
Don't really see a reason for discord taking up so much space, i recommend adding latest episodes (maybe the last 5-10 you've done) and also what's being worked on in a box above it.

Marineford 3 is now available on the site.
http://onepace.net/#/?episode=318
All of the suggestions above have been added to the "To Do" list, if they're doable.
-
One more suggestion to add, if I still can (Sorry if this is too late - I hadn't used the site for a little while):
When using Google Chrome (at least for me), if an episode is playing, the video player will continuously resize when you mouse over it, making it extremely difficult to click the pause button or any of the other icons unless you can manage to go full screen (which takes a while to pull off). This may be a problem that can't really be fixed, but it never happened to me when using the old site. Maybe it's a weird page formatting issue? Not sure.
Also… Yay! More Marineford! Keep up the good work!

What is the framerate of recent episodes? Premiere is detecting episode 839 as 21.41fps, but that can't be correct, right?

23.976 FPS. Where'd you download your 839?

Horriblesubs. That was the 720p rip. I grabbed the 1080p rip and now it says that's 22.01fps?

It could be a Premiere glitch. Not sure, otherwise.

Apparently VLC is messing with the famerate when converting from mkv to mp4, and now it's completely desynced. I'm choosing "keep original audio/video track" like always. Weird.

We use a program called MkvtoMp4 to get the MP4 out of the MKV. It always converts perfectly, and doesn't do any other encoding unless you want it to.

Thanks. With your help I was able to make this:

I had the same issue with Google Chrome

in the Fishman Island episodes, you marked 20 as chap 642-645 and 21 as chap 643-646. Can you please explain why? I'm so confused why its like that.
-
I agree that the website needs a blog style formate on the main page, listing the latest activity/episodes
-
I don't care about streaming. So would rather have it on another page labeled streaming or something with the home page being like a blog listing the latest releases. However, it's not really needed I guess since I keep up with the One Pace Nyaa account for the latest releases anyways and snatch them with my seedbox.
Would be kind of nice to see a status listing of where each project is stalled or at so we can kind of estimate when to expect certain episodes, but that too I guess just leads to broken expectations when something sits at one stage for long periods.

I can't really remember how we edited those episodes, but it was probably the way Toei ordered the content.
Anyways… Marineford 4 is out.

We probably won't ever specifically say what's coming anymore. Sometimes there's a delay and something else has to be put in front, so it's better for us to just say an episode will come out nearly every week.
You can see "In Progress" on the watch page to see what's actually in production, though.
-
Would it be possible to have a picture of the One Piece world or something instead of the dark blue background?Right now it feels a bit unfinished, you know.

In Whole cake arc, two episodes 9 and 10 are still not completed after quite a time. Whats going on?

Episodes are coming out in production order. They'll be out eventually.

On average how long would you say it takes to edit one episode?

Whole Cake Island 17 is out.

It really depends on the episode. Sometimes an episode takes a few hours for the initial edit, and sometimes it takes twice as long.
I'd say ~8 hours on average, for total editing time spent in Vegas.

@Galaxy:

REEEEEEEEEEEEE Those episodes piling up for a marathon though, so thanks i guess
-
After Enies Lobby, Skypiea, and Marineford, what older arc are you guys planning to edit next? If I could suggest one, I'd really appreciate just going in order from Baratie onward, but Alabasta would be a great arc to see brought up to pace.
-
I honestly didn't have a problem with the pacing of the show until Thriller Bark, although it didn't get to the point of being absolutely unbearable until the timeskip.
I would love to see a dual-audio One Pace project, but that's likely never to happen.
-
So, I watched One Pace for the first time today, and you guys do amazing work. Seriously, please keep it up! :)

Just out of curiosity, where'd you start watching?

My friend from The Netherlands wanted to get back into One Piece, and asked how was Dressrosa, which in the anime, was a total slog. But watching it in your style made it a lot better, so I linked him to your site instead.
-
Finally can start catching up with WCI arc with One Pace releases.
-
Can I make a little request? In loguetown 02 there is a scene were luffy find smoker, and the conversation implies that both of them had seen each other before (They saw each other on a filler scene), I think you guys should add that filler scene to the arc since without it, it doesnt make any sence whatsoever to the people that want to start the series in your version. I just wanted to point that out, and thank you for all the amazing job you've been doing.

Loguetown will eventually be reedited, and we'll address any scenes like that one.

Thanks! Can't wait 'till Marineford is finished.

Whole Cake Island 9 released!
-
The only gripe I have with the project is that episodes are longer than the average 23-24 minute range. I know you guys have discussed this amongst yourselves repeatedly for years and came to the unanimous decision to let episodes run longer.
That's just my preference to have the episodes fit closer to a more "official" anime recut.Besides that, please keep up the good work!

We actually did, at one point, worry about the run-time. It ended up making the project a worse product in the end, though. We'd try to cut things that would never work naturally, and it created many instances of bad cuts musically and logically.
Sometimes Toei's pacing does allow for 2 chapters to fit into the 24 minute (or less) timeframe. But yeah, we've stuck to focusing on a strict "at least 2 chapters per episode", because in the end, the actual pacing of the content matters much more to us than the run-time these days. That, and we never want to take the Toei approach and end an episode mid-chapter, which can make or break a cliffhanger depending on what's adapted. On that note, the times we've done 3 chapters in 1 episode are usually because the ending of the third chapter wouldn't work as the halfway point of a normal 2 chapter paced episode.
I sometimes like to think of the episodes being like a Netflix series. Sometimes they can run the usual allotted time-frame, and sometimes they can go a bit over, or way over, depending on the content of the episode being created.
I only feel bad about it when it's just 2 episodes being cut together, and the run-time remains over 30 minutes. That usually only happens when the episodes are super content heavy, though.
-
Thanks for ep 9. Sad flashbacks usually get me but this didn't, i imagine if this was early 2000's One Peice i would have shed a tear
-
This probably has been answered already, but I didn't see it in the first few pages and I don't want to read over 100 pages .
Are there any plans to do the Baratie and Arlong park arcs? If so when?
I have a friend who initially didn't want to watch one piece because of the overwhelming episode count, but after I discovered this abridged version, he said he'd watch it with me. He just wouldn't be getting very far as of currently, so I thought I'd ask.
-
I'm not speaking for One Pace, but those parts are fine in the anime

Those arcs will be done someday, but they aren't priority right now.
-

Yeah, if it were up to me we'd just watch the anime, but I was only able to convince him after promising that I had found a more condensed version. I guess we'll start it anyway and hopefully by the time we get to usopp's arc, he wont mind watching the regular anime for the next two arcs.
@Galaxy:

Fair enough, I appreciate the response.
-

While I realize arcs prior had slow pacing and whatnot and could benefit from "One Pace", personally I didn't start really noticing an issue that bugged me with the anime until Thriller Bark, however it wasn't until the time-skip that things just completely seemed to grind to a halt and made the anime unbearable to watch.

Thanks! This is coming together nicely.
Is something up with your Trello? It seems like it's down. Or do you have a new one?
