He did it, the absolute madman.
Seven Deadly Sins

What in the world is going on? I'm damn curious about what Estarossa is all about. Him dreaming about Elizabeth, now claiming to be Meliodas… Just who is this guy?
-
Is he the thing that Ban went looking for? Is he gathering what parts of Meliodas has discarded on every rebirth?
-
I think he is just losing his marbles, the thing is how our final boss will get away of this situation.
-
What the hell did just happened?
Are they pulling a Kingdom Hearts here?
-
Maybe Meliodas is a title. Would be funny to find out the character we have known as Meliodas was actually referring to himself by a title the entire time.
-
The only thing i can rly save from this chapter are the knights wanting to go to eat instead of being in this crap.
Why Nakaba, why? Why you have to put weaklings to fight with powers, when your forte are brawl movements???
-
Well, color me intrigued. There was a time that I was worried about the direction of this series, and while I won't say that all my fears have been put to rest, especially in regards to the inclusion of power levels, I can safely say that the series has picked up a lot of steam. Estarossa, after an admittedly bland start, has really come into his own as an antagonist, and I am genuinely invested in where we go from here with his story. I am still grieving over the loss of Galan, but I can cope; your light will always shine brightest my sweet…armor-demon thing.
Elizabeth, despite her earlier characterization, has impressed me most with her developments. While she is far from perfect she has been given the agency that very few women in Shonen series are given, and I can accept her relationship with Meliodas more readily given their history; I still find the groping to be a bit much, but thankfully Nakaba has toned that down and focused more on real emotional stakes. All-in-all, I would say that the series has been moving in a positive direction ever since the time skip, and I can say that I am excited about seeing what comes next.
-
Well now I want to see what he looks like after absorbing each one.
Is there a chance his personality changes to resembling previous owners? First he became a fighting junkie, even having that wicked grin that reminds of Galan's "face". And now he's suddenly more calm, like Monspeet.
Just don't see how the Meliodas thing fits into there.
-
Big news!!!
! The chapters starts off with Estarossa's flashback. He's seen as a kid and talking with Elizabeth. It turns out he had a crush on her. Years later, he's seen with Meliodas (who was the leader of the Ten Commandments at the time, so not in Assault Mode) who just slew the Goddess. Years later again, the grown-up Estarossa kills Goddesses and Goddesses. He then walks a bit before seeing Elizabeth and Meliodas hugging each other. The flashback ends here, and the fabulous Est… sorry, Meliodas starts talking to Elizabeth before Guila stands before the latter. The Love notices Derrierie, recalls he needs to take her decree and notes that anyone other than Meliodas and Zeldris, as noted by Monspiet, would self-destructs if they absorb a decree other than their own. He walks up to Elizabeth (and Derrierie), and Guila shoots Shot Bombs at him, with very little effect. Diane tells her to stop and uses the technique Diamond Shield, and a high and narrow wall comes out of the ground. King then launches his True Chastiefol. All that for Estarossa to just cut the wall and slice Guila who falls. Then Tarmiel and Sariel come to cut him in three. The Demon spins the part of his body to slash the Archangels down. He tells Elizabeth he finds this place noisy and suggests to go a calm one, with the alternative to make this one a calm one. Diane and King are about to attack him in his back but Elizabeth tells them to stop. Since she doesn't want any more injured people, she'll follow his words. Estarossa tells the healer there's a place he wants to go with her. And the latter tells everyone not to worry about her and protect Derrierie. Estarossa then takes her up in the sky.
! Estarossa says he's Meliodas and asks Ellie if she came to see him. He says he wanted to see her too. It looks like he switches to looking at Derrierie and talking about taking her decree before there's another change with him saying he's Mel and he mentions what Monspiet said. Aaaaand he suddenly asks Derrierie to give him the decree, which implies he undersent yet another change. And bam, he goes on to repeat Ellie's name. It's like he's mentally unstable.
! We have two personalities: the normal Esta one and the "Mel" Esta one.
Love triangle and a complete insane Esta.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Finally someone translated the chapter -
That Estarossa guy….really likes to spin.

MS version out: https://readms.net/r/the_seven_deadly_sins/265/5053/1
! Estarrosa wanting to end the war and later losing his mind due to the commandments incorporation is kind of sad. And to the worst he's in love of the MC's beloved. He's pretty much screwed…
-
At this point killing Estarossa is going to feel like a way of showing mercy to his poor soul.
-
I wonder why Elizabeth can’t remember him. And it wqs funny thathe lloks exactly like Meliodas young. Those bounty poster drawer was sure goid at guessing future
Niw thattheyhave lost their healer, the knights should be less cocky

So Hendy is really a backup plan for Ludoshit, hurry up Gil and purge him out of your lover's body.
Double chapter next week. Get hype.
Also, obligatory Fraudrin was the coolest. -
Fraudrin may had been the reasong behind a lots of problems, but damn, I can´t help but to like him a lot. Dreyfus discovering his new power was cool too, the perspective trick was neat.
Also Gowther looking away while the arhangels explain how Estarossa killing Mael forced their clan to seal the demons is suspicious as hell.

I agree but that might be Ludo's line of thought. So anyone willing to bet if Mel stole Liz from his little brother?

Geez, can't you guys catch on the sarcasm in Kage's written post.

Geez, can't you guys catch on the sarcasm in Kage's written post.
What is this sarcasm you speak of? Is it like being facetious?
-
Nah. Kage's just mockin the small section of users that will jump at any opportunity to shit on the manga if they see something they don't like.
-
And here I thought I was being obvious.
Feels good, man. Feels good.
-
My bad didn't pick up on the sarcasm, it was too close to real shitposting I've seen

Full summaries:
! 267: Estarossa's choking Elizabeth. Then the latter places her hand esides the former's head to hit him out of the chokehold. The Goddess remarks that they're in the ruins of the Sky Theater. At the battlefoield, the army's heading south while the trio (the Archangels and King) are about to go for Elizabeth. Well, four people since Derrierie wants in. Well, there was some opposition to it at first. Back to the theater, Elizabeth ad Estarossa are having a chat before the darkness goes out of control due to the rejection of the decrees. Nonetheless, Elizaeth hears the voice from the entity. The darkness grasps Elizabeth and Estarossa says he won't let Meliodas take her from him, he'll instead gulp her to make her his. And so, the darkness envelops Elizabeth. At Camelot castle, now in a giant dark sphere, Zeldris says Meliodas's absorbing the commadments right now without any rejection yet, that they must collect the rest of the decrees for him. The Piety and his master are in front of a big cocoon. Back at the theater, Elizabeth's in the dark and wants to see Meliodas, who's visible at the last page. Title of the next chapter: From the Purgatory.
! 268: We're now in the Purgatory. A fox-like creature beats the snail-like one. Then it hears a voice (there's the chant Ban used when he was climbing the tree) and reverts to the stark naked Ban with long beard and hair. He's having a hard time in the place's environment. He wanders around and wants to leave the Purgatory as soon as possible. Then he falls down and splashes. It hurt like hell for him. Then he senses something coming to him. A dragon-like creature lands on him. an's hand is seen turning black then normal. And Ban lifts the creature. A fight ensues between them. It's been going for decades and they both are pooped out. Ban says he's looking for his friend and is sleepy. There, the creature wraps its tail around Ban. The sin of Greed says "Cap'n, let's go back together", that he's been doing all that for him. He wants to see a woman important to him. He then hears a voice saying "Me too." He also notices the dragon's gone, and finds Meliodas lying next to him. The Sin of Wrath wants to see Elizabeth. Title of next chapter: Life in the Purgatory. -
! I suppose that means that Ban's power up will come from decades if not centuries of fighting and surviving in Purgatory

Chapters out.
Estarossa life is suffering, I'm starting to pity him. Remembers he killed Galan. Never mind he deserves it.
Ban power up will be that cool looking power of darkness fox form, that way the humans of the group will have opposite personalities and opposite origins of power.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I loved Ban's Hell's Adventures.
-
Me too.
I don't remember, when Ban went to purgatory locking for Mel's emotions? Were we told about it already?
-

I don't remember, when Ban went to purgatory locking for Mel's emotions? Were we told about it already?
It was just after their first encounter with Cheadle.
-
About damn time we saw what was up with Ban in Purgatory! Finally he can return with a power up, I mean, Meliodas' emotions and turn things around!
-
I just hope his power up is not something like "after expending centuries fighting in purgatory he has a lot more of experience now" because that wont cut it against the higher ranked devils.
-
So far Ban may have won faster regenaration, experience, mental fortitude (spirit stat) and maybe a higher limit of how much strenght he can steal. If the sacred treasure boost other thing aside from those, Ban may have a chance against stronger demons, not enough to win alone against them, but enough to face them with the other sins. The guy deserves a good power up after so many years wandering hell.

His invincible regeneration was already the most over powered ability in the story. The only thing that stopped it was hellblaze. Assuming he learned a way to nullify hell blaze, he would have been able to eventually kill anyone given enough time. He was never written that way, so it still allowed for dynamic fights, but I will be interested to see what he does walk away from this with.
-
Baaaannnnnn! The Maaaannnn! Fighting through hell in commando. Fighting for decades at a time. This better the like hyperbolic chamber plus gravity training times 1000.
-
After having missed him for so long, I wouldn’t have minded staying longer in the purgatory with ban.
That fox drawing of him was really nice. I’m not sure we will see it again though. -
chp 269 summary
! Meliodas wakes up and talks with Ban. He's also seen clinging to Ban and crying out. Then the duo fights some beast and wins. The chapter ends with Meliodas and Ban, now clothed, starting to adventure through Purgatory.
Ban and Mel's awesome adventure in hell. -
Sign me up to it.

What a pleasant chapter, wish we could have more 100 years of those two adventuring hell. -
Yaoi artists be like.
-
Just a reminder…
!
-
That was pretty fun, Meliodas and Ban´s friendship is really cool. I loved how the first thing they did instead of looking for an exit is making clothes, they are great.
-
Any anime debates that come up about best anime best friends I'm always going to root for Ban and Meliodas.

Ban and Meliodas are great, but Luffy+Usopp has to be the goat for me. If Ash and Pikachu ever had sticking character or skill development they'd be it for sure.

Can't forget Killua and Gon.
