It's weird. Normally I am so repulsed by seeing children die (I know, crazy right?), but…somehow this series is just really manageable for me. That said, this chapter was kinda hard to read.
Maybe it's because these kids act rather . . . adult? Like, finding out they're raised to be eaten by demons has to make them grow up crazy quick, so it's less "Mommy, I'm scared!" and more "Fuck you, boogeyman!"
And yet, because they're still children, it makes each death count more. Even for these kids which we barely know.
