Lego Batman. Flipping brilliant! I love the Batman lego sets (The Designs rock except maybe Croc but with Legos what can you do?) ,Lego Star Wars I and II(Still playing it. Awsome game), and Batman in general.
This has big potential. Very big potential. I will enjoy buying this game.
The Next Lego Video Game is…
-
-
EXCELLENT
maybe they could add voices this time and have Adam West do the Batman
-
I was hoping for Lego Spider-Man, but Batman is almost as cool.
Have they made any sets with Nightwing in yet?
-
I hope this is as good as the Lego Star Wars series. Batman is pretty cool and should work well with Legos. I personally wish they would make a Matrix Lego game. THAT would be awesome.
-
Wow, this is awesome news! Though the next game after this will either be
a. spider man (most likely) or
b. Harry potter -
I think they already did Harry Potter. I'm not sure. Spider-man Lego= pwn4g3
-
Lego Barbie Horse Adventure for the win!
Seriously though, Lego Batman has the potential to kick as much ass as Lego Star Wars.
-
Sounds great to me! I hope they get Kevin Conroy to do his voice!
-
But the Legos dont have voices. Just grunts. Probably a Joker Laugh too.
-
Hmm Lego games? Holy Freaking hell Batman!
I find legos still fun after years of playing with them.
I remember one time when I had enough legos to make a skyscaper, this is back before the true sets. Man that thing was aboot five feet tall. Then it was time to do the classic cliche of Godzilla and destory it!
I ould rather see Spider-man in legos then batman. Batman and legos just don't seem to go together.
-
I may pick this up. Hope Kevin Conroy does Batman's voice and I hope the game is based on the comics. (Dark Knight Returns in particular)
-
Are Lego Star Wars games good? I kind of feel the same way about them as I feel about Kingdom Hearts games: over hyped and only for those who are fans of the franchises but I haven't actually never played them.
-

I'm not trying to be mean, so don't take this the wrong way.. but please don't use that terminology for a game you haven't played yet.

Nah, the Ultimate Spiderman and Spiderman movie games kick ass, there isn't really a reason for a Lego spiderman game. They make Lego games for themes that don't translate well onto video games, for example Star Wars (which has only worked well as an rpg IMO KOTOR). The Batman games haven't been all that great, the matrix path of neo was perfect as it was IMO and umm harry potter would probably work well as a Lego game.
-
I'm with Reifi, you have to experience something before u judge. I had the same attitude about Kingdom hearts (mostly because I ashamed to let people see me playing it). It's actually a pretty good game once you get past the Disney aspect. Anyways, I have never played a Lego game so hopefully this will be a good game. I'm mostly gonna check it out because Batman is my favorite character of all time.
-
I refuse to shut up! Besides I was just asking are those games good? And, eh, you're about to bite my throat off because of that. Jeez. (One can judge things before trying them anyway.)
-
Lego One-Piece! x] <3
I should try building a set cuz I have all this lego :P
-
I wasn't jumping down your throat.. I appologize if it seemed that way, I admit my post was rude, but I tried posting it as nicely as possible while still getting my point across. Perhaps I could have worded it less rudely.
However you shouldn't be so critical of something before having tried it. Especially when you use terms like: "Overhyped" and "Only for fans of the franchise" how can you judge these things?

I SUPPORT DAT!
Lego SW2 I just got. It's fun, if a little simple and (well duh) predictable. Not as innovative as, say, katamari damacy in it's gameplay, but puzzlers > generic action titles IMO

I was talking about the impression I got and I was hoping for somebody to correct me. I have been interested of buying these two games (both KH1 and Lego SW1 can be found with quite cheap price tags) but as I'm not biggest fan Star Wars - nor Disney - I'm afraid these would only end up disappointing me. Game press has been giving these titles only from avarage to good scores but they're still been talked a lot. That makes me feel that the games are "overhyped". Franchise games has a long history of not being up there on the par with original design games anyway.
-
The only thing I can say to your response is that as an individual, you should not accept "game press"'s reviews so faithfully. While they may be experienced in critiquing of games, their job is one of media, and as such they have a responsibility to hype up, and hype down whatever games they deem fit.
For example, if they overhype KH1, KH2 will come out stale and repetative because the creator will recieve the feedback that he could create 5 minutes of gameplay, and let the rest of the game be nothing but a black screen with the strongbad techno song playing in the background. And quite honestly, the truth is that game would still sell because of the sheer stupidity, and addiction gamers have to the franchise.
My underlying point is this, if you're unsure about the game, rent it, check it out first. However as the price is reasonably low, at most you will lose what $17 (U.S.) by purchasing Kingdom Hearts 1? Worst comes to worst, you can give it to a friend as a gift during christmas/a birthday. Either way, you won't really lose out in a situation like this.

HOLY CRAP THEY PUT HUSH IN
-
Never heard of Hush before.
Lego Batman seems cool. they need to upgrade it after the 1st version
-
^
He's been around for some time
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hush_(comicsbut was never animated.
-
Was Lego Indiana Jones any good? From what I read it was pretty lackluster compared to Lego Stars Wars which I really enjoyed. This game sounds to be shaping up pretty nicely though.
-
I enjoyed Lego Indiana Jones. However, I think it could've been better.
-
EXCELLENT

hellllll no! XD
and OMG! Green Ranger is back! Where the hell did you go man?
-
I picked this up today.
I am at 26.1% right now.
It's a pretty fun game, but it's obvious that Traveler's Tales was HEAVILY influenced by the animates series and the movies.
For example, some team ups include:
Catwoman & Penguin
Riddler & Two-FaceBatman is bitch-slapping Catwoman every second he gets and she is in Arkham O.o;
Robin is a total doofus in every scene he is in. Tim doesn't act like that…except in the animated series. Penguin has penguin bomb enemies that you fight while in a boat. It claims that two face is dual-themed, but he keeps flipping his coin and only does evil >_>I am now starting to doubt if Hush or Ra's are really in the game. Nobody has unlocked them, and most gaming magazines aren't listing them anymore. I have not seen any silhouettes that looked like either as well.
