@Malintex_Terek:
Uh, was Zoro fully healed from his battle with Mihawk? No. Luffy AND Sanji's beatings from Krieg was comparable to Zoro's fight because of how much Luffy goofed off. This whole matter occured before Chopper the miracle doctor was introduced and, even then, meat can't heal Luffy's wounds; it just restores his energy. We also know that the distance from Baratie, Loguetown, and Cocoyashi couldn't be very far away from each other; Yosaku was able to determine where Nami was sailing to after trailing her and swim back to Baratie. There's also the issue of no one on the crew actually being a navigator, which means that everyone would have eventually gotten lost if Cocoyashi wasn't that far away from Baratie.
Zoro took far more damage then Sanji and Luffy did. It was Mihawk after all. Either way, they seemed to be in top condition.
As for distance…I dunno. It seems like the crew had time to heal. And then there's the time that Luffy slept.
I doubt that, seeing as Arlong didn't aimhead very much during their fight. Krieg v. Arlong would actually be pre for Luffy's tty entertaining to see.
Well, I've give that Arlong didn't aim for the Luffy's head with "Twist Gum," with the others it was either not effective or not possible.
With "Shark on Darts," aiming for the head would be difficult, so the heart was a better choice. With the saw sword, Arlong was just trying to cut him. However, Arlong did bite Luffy in the neck at least.
And unlike Luffy, Arlong could just punch Kreig if he needed to, being not rubber. Actually, Luffy's rubber body probably limited Arlong choices of assault.
I don't think so; I'd call them pretty even, or if anything, Krieg superior to Arlong in combat. Krieg has comparable strength to Arlong, who is outrageously powerful among Fishmen, where Fishmen have ten times the strength of normal humans at birth; I say this because in the Baratie finale, Krieg jumped several stories onto a broken mast while wearing his armour and carrying his spear. That's at the very least equal to Arlong propelling himself out of the ocean. Additionally, Krieg has the advantage of his large number of diverse armaments, while Arlong has a pretty unconventional (and fairly useless) giant sword.
Much of this sounds right, but I think that Arlong would take Kreig attacks about the same as Luffy did. It's even-ish but not clear.
Still, Arlong could probably lift Kreigs armor too, he could flip a house afterall.
You're not giving fair weights to these issues. Foxy is an extremely dangerous Grand Line pirate; as I've said time and again, don't trust his bounty. All he was doing was walking around and battling other pirates to gain nakama; pretty uncontroversial stuff in the eyes of the Marines.
Actually, my point was that Foxy did more damage to Luffy in part because of his crazy techniques…like his lame disguises and his rigged ship. The damage done to Luffy isn't just because of the lethalness of the opponent but because of Luffy himself.
Regarding Krieg's explosions, I agree that they were more show than substance; they never damaged the platform Krieg was smashing his spear on. However, the impact from the spear itself, not to mention the barb on the end, was pretty damaging to Luffy. He's strongly resistant to physical damage but he's definately not immune to it like a Logia-class fruit.
K, onto the next one.
Finally, Ener is the most powerful villan introduced in the series. Luffy's relatively easy defeat of him was just, as Oda put it, lucky.
I'm just saying, different circumstances for different enemies.
Krieg was taken down by a Sledgehammer, which is basically a Rifle using two legs from a longer distance and with greater momentum in a whip-like motion. On top of that, Krieg landed on his head (where he was hit before) and yet was still able to stand up/speak after his defeat. For any pirate, let alone a human, that would require an outrageous degree of strength/toughness to survive. Arlong took an Axe to the chest and fell through his mansion; Krieg's falling distance looked even higher than that.
Two rifles? So the Gomu gomu no screw on Richie was two rifles? No, rifle in a punch, sledgehammer was a toss. The power of a punch doesn't evenly transfer to a toss. Plus, this was the one major damage the Kreig took. It was just a pistol and a trip before that. The GG bazooka might have been blocked by what's left of the armor.
For the record, Arlong took a bell, pistol, I think whip, and gatling without any real damge. This is one of Arlong major strengths, he was too strong for luffy's earlier attacks. He was hurt by: a toss into the ground, a spear, and the final Axe.
Now, from what we saw in Baratie, Axe was pretty damn powerful. Given, the first time I saw it, I felt that Arlong went down too fast.
In the end though, Luffy was clearly by and far superior to all the East Blue villians. There were no real big challenges before Croc, otherwise Luffy was virtually in control of the fights. For his style of fighting…anyway.
