@Lucky:
I like your use of colors Ekila, really makes the visuals pop. I like "Fighting the Poison" the most out of all of them. The contrast of day and night makes for striking imagery. The different colors for the wings on the person standing under the monster is a great touch too. Makes that figure stand out more than it would without them. I think it would have been cool if you painted the grass and flowers on the side with the night sky background a darker shade than the sunny side. Still, I really like it nonetheless, very creative.
Thanks! Yeah, I agree I should have made the one half of the grass night more darker. Thanks for the input! :)
If you don't mind my asking, what was your inspiration for these paintings?
Well, for "Butterfly of Hope", it was at first for a painting for a former friend, but I decided to keep. Honestly, the name came after several weeks after that.
For Hornfire Dragon, well, I like dragons a lot, and used to draw them when I was younger; and even now! o:
As for "Fighting the Poison", this one is more symbolic, and talks about me. The purple shadow thing is my negativity trying to control me. The little girl is the real me, and the small light in me that never goes out. It is good that she stands out in the painting. The field of flowers is my peaceful place in my head, and I would love to visit such a thing in the future; as I have a thing for this types of fields. The night and day, plus the different wings, symbolizes balance between light and dark for me. So, yeah :P
@KageKageKing:
What kind of painting material are you using btw?
Acrylic paints is what I have been using. I get them from my art group at my place of residence. Plus, the canvas, etc. So, I'm a bit lucky in that regard. Though eventually, I want to start purchasing my own materials; but that shall be in the future! o:
@DarkFalcon:
The dragon is really cool. Creative. It give Pokemon vibes. I also like the pattern of butterfly's wings.
Thank you very much! :)
Yeah, as for the dragon, I plan on making a series of dragons in the future; and not just the basic ones like fire or water, but others like glass for one example o:
Maybe even make a family tree out of them XD
