Like, what if you entered at the end of Grand Line, started at Rough Tale (Raftel) and finished at Whiskey Peak?
What if you entered Grand Line the wrong way?
-
-
That's not really possible.
But if it were, it would not be very fun, would it?
-
2 problems.
likely no way to get in there that way.
Log Pose's, if they even DO go backwards, since the only one known to actually travel back from the grand line was Gol D Roger, but he likely exited through reverse reverse mountain if it's really there, take you form island to island. if they had to go back there'd likely be an extreme waiting time ot some kind of need to adjust it to one island and go back to Raftel for it to turn into a "reverse log pose"
then good luck getting out thoruhg normal Reverse Mountain. tha tis if yu can make it all the way across the Grand Line.

I suppose you're right, but how do you know it's not possible? Only Roger knows what lies at the end.
(It'd be funny if the exit of the Grand Line was right behind Luffy's hometown.)
-
Well, technically Raftel is fairly close to Reverse Mountain right? Because you have to go through the entire Grand Line (which goes all the way around the world) to get to it. That means, in theory, that the World Government could easily get one piece (because they must have at least ONE of the five non-logiA flying fruits that Pell mentioned) simply by flying over Reverse Mountain.
Which brings me to the conclusion that I'm wrong about something.
Also, besides flying/going through the Calm Belt, it's impossible to get to the end right away (as Reverse Mountain only has one exit).
-
awful long time to be flying, I'd think wind currents would put you in a similar position as a normal boat.
-
But I mean just right over Reverse Mountain, it's probably several miles, but I would think that Aokiji could stay in ice form for that period of time right?
-
well if Aokiji could be carried by someone with a bird fruit like Pell
Along with his bike.
they go directly in front of it garanteed, Aokiji freezes a straight line from where they are all the way to Raftel.
He rides his bike to it.
EZ mode.

What about Don Krieg, Mihawk, and Arlong? Didn't they come to East Blue from the Grand Line?
-
Yea so how did they get back?
-
They traced their way back of course, using what they've mapped out so far.
-

I'm pretty sure that all three went through the Calm Belt.
Kreig's fleet was in a mess because of it, and Arlong was allowed through because Jinbei became a Shichibukai.
Correct me if I am wrong.
-
Krieg's fleet was in mess because they ran into Mihawk. They also said they encountered a storm at that time, and we know that there are no winds at all in the Calm Belt, so a storm can't blow up there. And I don't think becoming a Shichibukai has anything to do with being allowed to cross the Calm Belt. The CB is infested with the most powerful Seakings, not government officials or such.

Maybe the marines had travelled the grandline in another way like a submarine. Like the gates of Justice or Wahtabout Enel's flying ship? I'm sure that could've made it's way through.
-
Well lets get this first post here started right!
Perhaps the current on Reverse Mountain … reverses occasionally We've only 'seen' it at one point in the day, right? Seems to be there's the possibility of that, a la: low/high tide.
I apologize because if what I'm saying has been covered, but I would like to try and work this out as well and straighten myself out as well if I am wrong. I can't for the life of me find a picture of any of the 'maps' that have been shown of the grand line near the time the Straw Hats entered.
Garp also travelled to East Blue when he picked up Koby and Helmeppo, and during that episode I recall the announcements saying that they travelled Reverse Mountain on their way back. There are a couple of problems with trying to figure this out, though, in that we don't know whether he was at the Marine HQ beforehand, nor do we have any frame of reference for time since they just 'immediately' arrived back at HQ.
The better example, as stated earlier, is Mihawk following Don Krieg back to Barartie. If I recall right, the Red Line crosses both poles of the One Piece world and divides it into a 'western' and 'eastern' hemisphere. So both parties would have had to either traverse Reverse Mountain, or the equivalent at the other side of the Grand Line. And since Don Krieg and Co. turned back, Mihawk probably wouldn't go all the way around the world to follow him, right?
In the end, all that I am left with is my original hypothesis, in that the current changes at times and travel is allowed to the Blue's from the Grand Line at Reverse Mountain as well.
Wow that got wordy, sorry for anyone up this late at night trying to read all that, I've never posted here and I guess this really just struck a creative nerve for me.
EDIT: I think I got a little mixed up on which 'part' of the Grand Line the story is currently in. I'm recalling now that East Blue should be the sea to the north of the Grand Line they are in now, right? While typing that for some reason I was thinking they had the Red Line dividing where they are and East Blue, and not a Calm Belt. Either way, I suppose the hypothesis can still stand.

Sea monsters and fishmen are completely different things.

Let me rephrase that. I apalogize for not being clear.
I meant that Arlong's crew was let into East Blue by the World Govt. in exchange for Jinbei joining the Shichibukai.
