There's no way Endeavor hasn't ever accidently killed a villain when using his flame powers.
I feel like Stain's reaction to seeing endevour kinda implies that he's the one who messed up his face to the extent that it is

I figured it wasAll Might who messed up Stain and gave him a real fight and his heroics during ithe fight that made Stain approve of him as the iddal hero

Doesn't feel very 'ideal hero' to smash a villain to the point that you rip off their nose. Certainly wouldn't strengthen Stain's conviction that All Might is the only real hero if it were All might himself who went overboard and destroyed Stain's facial features forever.
Also, I feel like Endevour's fire powers are more likely to cause injuries like Stains' than All Mights' powers. Bar a uppercut so strong it rips off your nose, I just can't see a punch doing that. Now a young Endevour not being able to control his power properly/giving in to anger and accidently burning off a villain's face, destroying their nose… that I can imagine.
--- Update From New Post Merge ---
If that means we'll see Endeavor showing up in Vigilante I'm all up for it.
I'd be up for that. Maybe the artist can take a few inspirations from the anime's filler in showcasing Endeavour's fighting skills too
The anime is so good. The Stain arc is great and the anime translated the atmosphere even better.
The music took such a step up in quality. The first season's was already really good, but wow, I can't wait for the OST for this. So good.
I'm super stoked for the next test. Deku and Bakugou vs. All Might should be amazing!
Chapter's out on mangastream
Is it just me that's finding it kinda hard to follow what's going on a wee bit? Both the action and some of the dialogue seems a tad unclear.
Long time since I had to read Academia with MS translation. The dialogues barely made any sense or it was just me? Anyways, I don't know if it was because of that, but it felt like a complete waste of a chapter.
Will try again once Fallen Angels/JB translation is out.
Yah, didn't get anything out of that except that shigaraki is trying to get the yakuza killed?
Um… I... I can't tell if Toga and Twice are messing things up because Shigaraki trusts them even though Shigaraki does not know they would purposefully mess with the Yakuza, or Shigaraki somehow implying for them to mess with the Yakuza despite Twice saying that he would not approve of what they're doing? And the text juxtaposes with Twice and Toga's panels so much that I can't tell if they are both saying those thoughts or if it's just Twice.
All that said, I like the focus on the villains bonding and Shigaraki revealing his face in a different way from the mall in looking kind. I just wish we got to see why Shigaraki grew to like these guys since we never see Shigaraki interact with them besides this scene, Magne's death, Bakugou being held captive (where Shigaraki talks to Bakugou and nobody else), and Shigaraki first meeting Dabi and Toga which devolved into a western quick draw before Blackmist intervened.
Twice taking off his mask for Shigaraki reminded me of when Rorschach took off his mask in front of Dr. Manhattan.
And Sir uses wax seal projectiles? That's so... so... beautiful.
It's good to know I wasn't the only one who couldn't really follow the chapter this week.
I don't believe it. Nighteye have abs.
That was confusing.
My guess is that Twice and Toga are intentionally riling up wall-guy, and their goal is to have the heroes defeat him for them. That way they can keep working with Chisaki, and maybe even trick him into trusting them more because his other underlings were useless and got captured by the heroes. Or they're trying to destroy the Yakuza from within, and are using the heroes to do their job for them so they can remain undercover.
Agree with the rest- that certainly wasn't the clearest chapter in terms of action or dialogue. And Shigaraki's development feels a bit rushed since we haven't seen each step that clearly.
Still, the thrust of the chapter is quite good and more Twice is always appreciated.
Mangastream translations aren't as reliable as you think.

First thought: They're even worse?!
Among other things there's "Rappa's Brother" and "Irinaka's Brother", which I'm willing to bet she overly literal translations of "aniki".
I think part of the wonkiness of dialogue is Twice is sometimes saying two different things. But maybe once a proper translation comes out it'll be more clear.
Think Mr. Compress is getting a metal arm from black market dealer. Dabi's back, but no new recruits. Guess they're being more cautious not bringing newbies to HQ. Blackmist is doing something important and so is Gran Torino, mmmhmm.
Yeah, from what I got Team VA wants to set up the Yakuza to fail. Lots of talk about how strong members of the alliance are. Might be a hint they're about to level up the one thing they lack, tactics.

Either that or it has something to do with how he refers to a clone that he's made?
Either that or it has something to do with how he refers to a clone that he's made?
I saw that brought up, and that's actually why I didn't think anything of his doing it with Rappa, but I don't really think irinaka is a Twice double. He's gotten too much personal focus for me to think it likely, nor do I think a clone would handle the quirk boosters, since one of their issues is durability. Until we see something to indicate otherwise, I'm assuming Irinaka's the real deal.
It's just aniki. Twoga getting into the yakuza role to a goofy extent.
I'm waiting for this fan art to come true now:
!
I haven't read the chapter yet, but if it's written as "xxx no aniki", it's a common use to say "brother xxx".
But because it's more of a street slang use (appropriate for a thug such as this case) and not proper, if you didn't know the use case, it would look like "brother of xxx".
I imagine a lot of translators don't have enough experience to know these "broken Japanese" uses, if you will.
If that's the use case here (again, I haven't read the chapter yet) and it's coming from Twice or Toga, I imagine they're being silly stereotype yakuza thug role playing lol
I just noticed that Mr. Compress' latest mask looks like a sad face lol.
It's good to know I wasn't the only one who couldn't really follow the chapter this week.
My thoughts exactly.

Seems like next week's episode is going to have a bunch of filler.

From the preview, looks like it'll be covering the other internships. I hope this was Horikoshi's suggestion (perhaps even written by him), either way it's probably because the anime staff needed to fill time to keep the pace and end on specific chapter.
I really want it to be as good as the Endevour stuff, but i won't keep my hopes too high!

So far all the other filler bits fit in very well with the story. So I hope Horikoshi is giving them the ideas. Even if not there's someone with some soild skill on the team.
Kind of a random question. But who do you guys think the 3rd (now technically 2nd) ranked Pro Hero is? Or why they haven't been revealed?
Part of me thinks we'll know after this arc and if Icy Hot and Lord Explodo Kills get their licenses.
Wow, I am actually hyped for anime filler episode.
This show has been doing an EXCELLENT job filling in the gaps, can't wait to see the internship anime original episode.
No way they'd hype the filler if Horikoshi wasn't involved. Should be fun but keeping my expectations low just in case.

Whoever that person is he/she was absent from the Save Bakugou plan and no one mentioned it. Maybe that person lives far away or was out the country for some future arc related stuff. Might be one of Yaoyorozu's parents or family member.
I have a feeling that the No. 3 hero is a woman. I have no legitimate reason as to why other than how famous high-tiered trios in manga tend to have a token female in the group.

I could have sworn Nighteye was introduced as the No. 3 hero, though I suppose that since he prefers to keep a low profile that might not be true.

Nope, we have had no record of that thus far.

The new Vigilante chapter (chapter6+ beta) discussion doesn't seem to be up anywhere, I'm assuming there aren't any scanlations of it yet?
Interesting look into All Might's (relatively recent) past. I imagined AM and Tsukauchi goes far back, but it seems their history isn't that old.
I suppose it makes sense considering that the cop didn't seem to personally be familiar with AfO incident, and was seeking AM's advise.
I still can't shake off suspicion of his creepy eyes.
I just discovered that Oochako is the only one without a smartphone because she can't afford one.
Sad.
I'm just gonna leave this here (it's in Spanish btw)

I know that the beginning of the series has Deku saying this is his story of becoming a great hero. But does anyone else think that we'll wind up with an actual Avengers type squad? That one guy from the hero association mentioned that since they were not likely to find a charismatic powerhouse like All Might that they were gonna focus on teams. I kinda do hope that's where they take it instead of just Deku at the top.
So like it'd be Deku, Explodo Kills, Uravity, Icy Hot, Igneium, Red Riot, Creati and Froppy.

The rest gonna be on West Coast?
This dude argues that "boku hero aca" ugh.. presents a more individualist view of the shonen protagonist, that while the bonds are important, in the heat of battle you can only count on yourself, and no ammount of friendship speeches will stop a villain or a natural dissaster. Their drives to be The Best, and the protagonist of their own stories would make unsatisfactory to them to be just a team.
On my view I mostly agree, with the extra caveat that the way that this world presents heroes in a way that is professional and regulated, meaning that opening an agency, even if you manage to jump all the hurdles and hoops, would be hard pressed to find the needed qualifications to grow, everyone goes to an stablished agency, just like mangaka go to jump to publish instead of making their own magazine.
There are also the reality of their talents, just like people complains that Thor, Captain America and Hawkeye are in completely different leagues, the likes of Bakugou, Tsuyu and Mineta are in very different leagues and fields of expertise, having Tsuyu stay in a city without any water hazard would be a waste of her talents.
These kids are training to be the best of the best, I just can't see them being under a leader once they become pros. They would most likely chose to be their own bosses.
Look at the multi hero crisies that we have faced, they just work together for these big activities and then go their separate ways.
I feel like the concept of the "Pilar of Justice" is something that should be a shared responsability, between all of society, changing from one person to an elite group of persons is not much of an improvement of society as a whole.
Well they still are technically working for someone else. They are sorta able to be solo but they take orders it seems.
At any rate they'd still have their specialities. I don't think working under the same team would hamper their dreams much. They've mostly been doing team ups anyways. They develop individually but lessons still seem to be about being able to work well with others.

Nope. I think Deku will end up #1 hero just like All might. Doesn't mean he won't work with others though

The main reason for All Might being the symbol of peace is his overwhelming strength and ability to win no matter the odds, while wearing a smile of course. Nobody has ever shown a power like that and Deku is nowhere near that level so of course it doesn't look like 1 person can assume that mantle yet. Just imagine adult Deku becoming like All Might was before his injury. Deku already has the same heroic personality as All Might, but without the power he isn't drawing enough attention yet.
My Hero Academia: Vigilantes 006+beta is out! (Not the Pre-Stain VS Knuckleduster chapter)
http://readms.net/r/vigilante/006%2B%20Beta/4490/1?t=2&f=0&e=1
! Heard it somewhere before but…YES! Vigilantes is going bi-weekly!
I love these backstories with the main series characters. Seeing the Daily Planet, er, Avengers, no, Might Tower was great. That cow villain was ripped straight from Batman '66, complete with henchwomen.
! Agree with Aohige that I thought Tsukauchi met All Might much earlier, but the reason he finds out and how he helps All Might works perfectly. The Nighteye cameo was good too.
! Okay, so the first AM/AFO fight took place six years ago. Aizawa hasn't joined UA but had a reputation for expelling entire classes...hmmm. Gonna say Vigilante takes place three to five years before the MHA. Now, I wanna know why they made this series a prequel. Was it only to do prequel stories about MHA characters or do they have a plan for The Crawler and friends in the current timeline?
That was a nice chapter.
! I wasn't expecting a Clark Kent kind of thing with All Might. I'm not sure why. But I like it.

Which why I wonder why I never associated that with him.
Man I wish every filler was this good. Great Froppy episode.
