Is the poster available only in Magazine #1?
I think I've seen an announcement for volume 2 of the Magazine that shows it's going to have Ace's poster, so if you want Luffy's, get volume 1. Still available in cdjapan.

Here are some interesting information about ONE PIECE Magazine Volume 2 from preview page. It will be released on August 4th.

Strange relationship between Ace and her starts here. The cover page will be drawn by Kinu Nishimura.)[hide]
[/hide]- Short manga "Eyes of Eiichiro's staff -Oda and his assistants-" chapter 2 will be drawn by Ei Ando known for ONE PIECE Party.[hide]

- Toshio Asakuma will tell about his policy regarding his ONE PIECE and animal collaboration figures.
- Oda's long interview (chapter 2)
- Super realistic bounty poster of Ace
- Special Episode "Luff" (chapter 2) drawn by Oda. Sabo saving Luffy and Ace was drawn in chapter 1.
@Bond:
Apparently, the magazine listed the songs Oda was listening to when drawing Big Mom's Tea Party:
Thank you so much for your hard work, Bond en Avant! Those YouTube links are really helpful :)
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
Here is my translation for ONE PIECE official Tweets which were posted 6 hours ago.
- Weekly Shonen Jump next issue will have a collaboration cover page with Jump issue 33, 1997 when ONE PIECE chapter 1 was released.
Editor says, "Luffy pushed up his finger into the sky on his first cover page. 20 years later, Luffy will...?"[hide]
[/hide]- Oda's message is included right after the cover page. - Oda draws Straw Hats in "those outfits" in a special poster.
- Shogi (Japanese chess) items are included in the magazine. (Shogi is getting popular in Japan recently.)
- Shimabukuro, Toriko's author, draws a special manga which focuses on his memories about Oda. All Jump editors were really impressed to read it!
- Novel Ace chapter 2 (Spade Pirates are getting bigger and bigger. One day, a female Marine appears in front of them.

Thanks Sandman
If the marine's girl turn out to be Bonnet certain things will make so much sense :happy:Do we have a translation of the novel about the marine fodder point of view on Luffy?

Thanks, I've ordered 4 copies (I and my friends ).
As Sandman said the #2 will include Ace's bounty poster, so… is #3 going to have Sabo's one? I bet on it!
It wouldn't be impossible since Ace's bounty was first revealed in a art gallery/museum dedicated to One Piece, but Sabo is still part of the story... we'll see it. -
Do you remember this?
One Piece 20th Anniversary Golden coin on sale next week for 216,000¥ (around 1,925$)
Now you can buy it lol

The brother trio seems like a heavy theme for this anniversary. I can't wait to pre-order volume 2 along with the reprint of Shonen Jump with OP chapter 1! This celebration is being a treat (just not for my wallet )!

is it true there's going to be a huge announcement by oda on the 22nd? and if so does anyone have any idea what it might be?

It is true. Nobody, as far as I know, has a clear idea of what it is.

All Weekly Shonen Jump manga has this week One Piece tribute (a strawhat) for the 20th Anniversary
-
Here's the one in Black Clover
-
In my hero academia is in a random classmate in the first or second page on the school.
-
Those Straw Hat tributes are cool and all but I prefer like the 10th year anniversary where all WSJ mangaka draw a tribute to One Piece.
Takeshi Obata's Sanji looks Godlike.
-
Those were in a special book apart from WSJ. And maybe the anniversary week we get even that.
-
I still wish that Jimbei could join in all of this anniversary action. The Mugiwara 56 color spread would have looked glorious with him included.

There will be a special book for 20th Anniversary at the end of the year. Probably it will have mangaka tributes to One Piece.
Editor Sugita revealed in an interview on June 19th that

Sorry, I got confused with Heart of Darkness' comment. And even then, he wasn't accusing me of anything, I quickly misread. Sorry, I'm juggling a bunch of replies in different threads at once in multiple tabs lol.

[It's possible Oda is alluding to the case of his mangaka colleague and friend Mitsutoshi Shimabukuro [Toriko] who was arrested on August 7th 2002 for paying a 16-year old girl for sexual services and then later charged with paying two other 16-year old girls for sexual services on earlier occassions against Japan's Child Prostitution Law.]_
While I couldn't care less about Shimabukuro or his manga nor prostitution (Haven't tried neither of them lol) I think I should bring a little more info about this, I remember reading about what happened to Shimabukuro back in like 2002 in a Spanish magazine I had bought back in the day, back then I didn't even knew who he was, and didn't really care too much about it, but then some years later I learned that person was the creator of Toriko and it kinda bugged me, because if the same had happened in say the US he wouldn't have been freed with such ease, but Japan is a little different..
Again, I don't really defend Shimabukuro, but I will provide context of how it happened..
It most likely was enjo kosai (Compensated dating), which apparently was rampant on the 90s, basically there were websites were you could meet girls and you would get to an agreement, the funny thing is they would never mention words such as sex or stuff like that, e.g. "10,000 Yen for an hour of 'fun'" you get the idea.
Anyways enjo kosai was so prominent that the government banned the practice of paying minors (18 and under) for doing lewd acts (Sex) but that ban started just in 1999, so as you might guess enjo kosai was (probably still is) rampant in Japanese society..
So I will probably get some hate about what I'm gonna say but I frankly think Shimabukuro didn't really did anything wrong… Sure, he broke a law (that had just been passed), but both parties were willing.. (Unlike some prostitution rings)
Also, and this is me just guessing is that the girl in question probably tried to blackmail Shimabukuro after the affair, even if she didn't know Shima was a mangaka she probably tried to get some money out of him or she would tell the cops, I guess he didn't budge and she told on him.. But that's just my guess..
And tbh enjo kosai is such a common practice that that's why he probably didn't even get jail time…
Also contrary to popular belief Takeshi wasn't cancelled, it was moved to Super Jump, although admitedly the series got rushed to end prematurely.
As for Oda, I think it was pretty damn brave of him to not only support his friend but to talk semi-openly about it (as Count Mario posted) in the ToC of Jump, but also in future projects, other people probably would have just tried to stay away from Shimabukuro, but Oda did not, kudos to Oda.
And it was specially brave of Oda to act like this because Japan is such a 'quiet' society, a place where you are not really supposed to speak your mind, where you are supposed to just be 'quiet' or 'normal' and Oda stated his mind, instead of just being quiet about it, he showed his true colors back then and I think that was pretty cool of him, pretty Luffyish if you willTL:DR: Shimabukuro is no Polanski. –----------------------------------------------------------------
So I guess I should post something so my post isn't totally off topic: I really wanna read that Shimabukuro manga where he talks about how he met Oda, I would like it if Watsuki, Takei and other mangaka that knew Oda make one-shots too.
-

Its because he clearly couldn't fit into a germa suit. :ninja:

Makes me wonder if he has no idea what the English lyrics are about, some seem really odd and I think are terrible but it's still fun to see what he takes in.

There's always the 25th anniversary in the next 5 years. :ninja:
Unless that two (or three) part poster is hiding our token fishman for the Straw Hats. That would be more than enough for me.

I m well aware of that and I only mentioned the Shimabukoro case to underline his friendship with Oda et vice versa. The point is, shima broke the law (unintentionally or not is unimportant) but Oda nethertheless stood behind him. Greg once mentioned on the podcast that this comment even affected his readership in some way. It was also the year of Dragon Ball when Sheuisha released/announced the Kanzenban edition and the Skypia arc was running in the manga and marketing-wise it was not the best area for One Piece apparently

I would prefer not seeing any new One Piece games announced until Totland is over. That way, everybody has all of their feats from the arc.

Presumambly non-serious answer: They electroucted his gonads.

I'm mildly surprised by how many Water 7/Enies Lobby spines we're getting. I thought Alabasta and Marineford were more popular/iconic in Japan.
-
Well, the scenes on the spines are mainly around the development of the Straw Hats themselves (plus Ace because the fans love him…), so it makes sense that an arc with such focus on the main characters gets a few more spines :)
