I've been wondering, does this manga tries to show some profound message about mental illness? Am I left out there for not getting it?

Sort of, Fire Punch is the one of a few seinen where you got characters driven by their enviroment, despite those are concluding the plot process, they never stop being humans even while getting supernatural powers.
Personally don't judge the madness of this manga because it is unique to every character, which surpassed the mere act of killing the Ice Witch to allow the world to heaten and stop this train of slaughter… so, instead of solving the place, the author just kills and delude the ones who may solve it, even the villain got drawn to this movement.
This subtle meddling becomes fresh thanks to being original and driven for madness' sake. I specially like how superpowers are portrayed to surpass the mind of their users, i was tired of seeing the other way around.

I thought this manga was ending but it looks like it is starting a new arc
I don't know where the story is going but I'm unironically enjoying it
watching Agni being a psycho that will do anything for his "sister" is oddly entertaining

another nearly textless chapter
still f***ed up tho
Agni is adorable, i usually never know what's he thinking, the author is making a good work with him.
I thought that he didn't have access to powers again though, anyways good!

It does seem like like he lost Doma's flames, and maybe that's why he had to burn himself with a torch, but the regen blessing can be reduced or accelerated by his psycological state.
Oh, you were right Cowboy, it helps to what appears at chapter 60.
Nooo, Agni, don't go for that way!!! Unless, before, you want to fuck that little fucked child and then commit suicide.
New chapter: http://manga.fascans.com/manga/fire-punch/61/1
There doesn't seem to be any way out for Agni, he is too far gone
Oh oh… new Fire Punch at town. Agni's gotta work against Sun.
Btw, someone translated the 63 aside FAS, i wonder about how this will entail D: Hope not some drops out.

We've been baited into thinking anything will ever make sense

The series ended. And what a bad ending. Thoughts?
If this was an OVA or Anime, it would be one of those things that Bennet the Sage would have a full day with it.
I liked it.
Didn't understand jackshit about these last 10 or so chapters but I liked it. Guess I'll have to reread it later to check some of the stuff going on in my mind.
Religion seems to be a constant theme and is brought out constantly. Even in the chapter before the last the only way for Judah to pass through her hell is by praying to Agni.
Still the most fun thing is to check the chapters in which the "Ice Witch" kidnaps Judah and explains her plan. Those pretty much prophecize what happened in the final 2 chapters and explain a bit of it. The ultimate irony is that even if the Ice Witch hadn't been killed by San, her plan of leading the next generation of humanity till they could remake Star Wars again would fail because the Earth got destroyed by a meteor, so she ended up triggering the destruction of mankind in other planets because of a failed selfish desire.
She also talked about giving birth to the new generation, which makes me wonder if there's a chance that Agni and Judah can create a new species without an habitable planet. Maybe Agni does indeed become the God he was always treated as in the sense that he ends up being the Father of Mankind.
San and Luna also seem like Sun and Moon, but that may be over reaching.
So yeah, it was a mess, but I really liked reading it and I'll be sure to reread it again when I have some time to.
Fuji pulled a Tite + Jiro ending, huh?
7/10 to me. This shit delivers a self-character leading the story, and usually those are very boring, but the themes of FP were of my liking, so my reason to put that score and is mostly because no one is very good with that kind of stories in Japan.
Hope he continues to write long stories and masters his own narrative D:
Wow. Did not expect this book to get an English translation. Releases Tuesday. Thanks Viz.
It is announced that Fujimoto Tatsuki (author of this series) going to take a shot on WSJ.
