In theory, yes, a revival could be a good thing. But the TV animation landscape is very different than it was 20 years ago. Will we as an audience be satisfied with the work of the South Korean animation studios like Rough Draft, or if the show went with CG or tweening styles? I doubt we're gonna get TMS-quality animation in this day and age. Not much hope for an orchestral score either. And we'd either need all the original writers and actors to come in to try and rekindle the charm, or whoever they hire to try their darnedest to not screw it up.
I feel like the only aspect that could really use a continuation is Pinky and the Brain, which I think could benefit from a nice DTV budget like all those DC animated films have been getting to keep it close to the original fluid animation. Let's see them actually take over the world at last and what that entails.
