@Dr.:
The most interesting thing is that spiky peak. I expect it to be a sort of representation of the giant hand at the Eclipse and yet at the same time different, Casca's own interpretation. I also wonder how the core memory which shattered Casca will be represented from the outside, until now we had the helmet on the sword, the chandelier, Griffith's broken sword and all the rest, but how will that specific memory, her abuse by Femto, will be represented?
After she will have regained her mind it's very difficult to predict exactly how she's going initially to react to Guts, or to everything for that matter, but i cannot imagine in the slightest her having any sort of hard feeling toward Guts, there would be absolutely no reason for that. But alas, Skull Knight's words, "There's no guarantee her wish will be your wish", pronounced just as Miura introduce the Moonlight boy are ominous just like every other omen he has always warn Guts against precedently, and all of Skull Knight's warnings have always come true before, we would expect no less from someone who has existed for a thousand of years.
The point is that the child will be cause of a disagreement between Guts and Casca, and possibly a falling out. The child is probably going to be the key that will move Casca from now on, and consequently what will move the whole party, and the knowledge of a possible way to save the child is the only thing that could move the plot forward again, it stands to reason, imho, that the queen of the Flower Storm Danaan will reveal useful informations about the connection between Femto and the child and how exactly did Femto reincarnated, but those information will likely also reveal that Guts's wish to pursue his revenge on Griffith will also come to harm the boy. To make an example, but i don't pretend it has necessarly to be this way, what if Guts harming Griffith, despite how low the chances are, will also bring harm to the boy, would Casca accept this? And this is where they could disagree.
I agree with all of this, but I think it is also worth thinking about what the rest of Guts' party will do after Casca regains her memory and the truth comes out (if Guts, Casca, Schierke, or Farnese even disclose it, but I hope they do because I'm sick of these secrets being kept). Basically, what I'm saying is… what if there's a chance that somebody takes Casca's side? It would feel too one-sided and awkward if Casca just left on her own. And the relationship between Farnese and Casca, to the point where Farnese is literally experiencing Casca's past emotions/memories, had to be built up for something significant when Casca does regain her memory. And if Farnese sides with Casca, then how would Serpico feel? Not to mention Roderick, he has to be here for some sort of reason too than being the ship captain and trying to gain Farnese's favor. And I wonder if when Isidro finally learns about Guts' affiliation with the Band of the Hawk, we actually get to see his backstory about his home life, Guts becoming his idol, and why he ran away.
Faust, since you're a big fan of Golden Age parallels occurring with Casca regaining her memory, do you think that we could see a parallel to when the Band of the Hawk almost fell apart after Griffith was saved from the dungeon and Guts decided to leave again? I personally fully expect something like that, except this will eventually (maybe not this arc but EVENTUALLY) end up with Guts making the "right" choice this time to show character growth.
@Mr.:
And yes, I wouldn't expect them to see Femto's "birth" very clearly considering Casca was already at least a bit delirious by the time he showed up. She might imagine him looking more like Golden Age Griffith. And do they really need to restore her memory of being assaulted by a mob of demons? I suppose it's necessary to restore her to her sane self again, but I'd hope there was a way to spare her memory of that particular horror.
If they aren't going to tackle that, then there's no point to all of this since that's the main stimulus for her mentally repressed state. There might even be a compare/contrast page with Guts/Casca and Femto/Casca, if you know what I mean after reading the latest chapter. I don't think we will get a full-on gruesome scene with just the rape rather than some weird censored psychological representation, but I do expect to see a quick grim glimpse of what REALLY happened. If Casca's spared the memory of what Femto did to her, then that's not really character development at all. Just a different form of regression that keeps her past personality intact. It would take away from the weight and impact of that moment if it could just be completely discarded.
