That's my usual strategy. Inch forward and play on the defense.
But Pokemon has my soul now, I'll just have to wait.

Random bump: was going to play Dates today but ended up picking Atlus's Rondo of Swords back up. Anyone played it?
It's got a really unique battle system where attacks are based on moving through and enemy instead of next to them. Changes the way you hold choke points since both you and the CPU can pull off big combos to an opponent that is clustered the wrong way. It makes a decent attempt at a relatively deep plot too (with a big choice halfway through that leads to two dramatically different plots and endings).
Random Bump: But have you guys seen this blog post comparing Fire Emblem: Fates to the 4Kids Dub of One Piece of all things!?!?
LOL, I can't take this seriously as the comparison is just too much for my tastes.
It's just a video game. :wassat:

Their false equivalence game is real.
And Salty Downpour's favorite tricks: Making shit up, complaining about generic lines in My Castle being made funnier and imagining that everything Treehouse did was without Intelligent System's approval.
My favorite part is how they lament that they ruined Shin Kobayashi's story. Lol nope; there was nothing to ruin in Fates' mess of a story.
Those people are babies that make me hate weeaboos up from simply not giving a shit about them.

It's dated Feb 29. Phew, I thought people were actually digging up this dumb "issue" again.
The localization isn't 100% aces but damn it, it's a pretty good one, and Fire Emblem always goes through some kind of editting when it comes over here. Losing the darn swimsuit costumes is nothing compared to losing an actual game mode (Maniac Mode from PoR), and I hate the false equivalency.
Really I think part of the problem is simple. The early translation made people get "used" to it across the latter half of 2015, so when the official English version was released, naturally the vocal critiquers were combing everything with a comb to check for any (even slight) variance to go "this localization sux, Treehouse bad"
Hisame's character in the localization being pickles is still better than the original character consisting of F U C K I N G N O T H I N G
Sure, because they totally removed Kagero's and Camilla's clevage and Niles' and Rhajat's sexuality isn't it?:P
Now that would be 4Kids level of bad. And did the guy just got one like during 10 months?
Hisame's character in the localization being pickles is still better than the original character consisting of F U C K I N G N O T H I N G
Funnier still, his character in the localization isn't even pickles. Pickles are brought up in like 5 support convos, at least half of them being unchanged from the original text.
But of course, it's the same group that found a screenshot of a Castle greeting being ''BANANASLAMAAAA'' and legit thought it was Treehouse throwing memes in the game.
And the same guys that spread
with Keaton just to stir more crap. They're not known for their honestly.honestly I'm pretty disappointed that he didn't have crit quotes like YOU'RE PICKLED or TASTE THE SALTY STING OF DEATH
missed some prime real estate there, i tells ya
There are legit gripes to be had about Greenhouse's translation, but that comparison never covered them. The best example is the one Saizo and Beruka C support, where they discuss thinking of the people they've killed while the translation just has comical silence. But no, let's complain about not getting to further sexualize the characters.

A good BLOOD AND VINEGAR cry would have made my day.
Well, didn't see that one coming.
Dynasty Emblem? Sounds pretty cool.
I'd love it if they went out of their way to give Fire Emblem Warriors more strategy aspects than the usual Musou fair but that's probably too much to ask for.
what else would they talk about? Mobile game comes to mind. Wonder if they'd do anything else.
Hector would be perfect in a DW game.
You know you have to Kecmo

Soundls like a knockoff of Kemco.

I'd be shocked if he weren't in. I know a lot of people are saying "It's gonna be an Awakening/Fates Musuo lol", but the way Zelda really reached for playable character, I have to imagine they may be more embracing of characters outside of the 3DS era.
I'd be shocked if Lyn didn't make it, so Hector doesn't sound completely out of the question.
To properly translate Hector to Dynasty Warriors, he will take no damage from anyone and enemies that touch him instantly atomize. He points his axe in one direction and a thousand Cavaliers die in pain.

Could have some fun with a summoner character. Phantoms :D

who needs a phantom summoner when we could have the most lovable summoner of all: Izuka
The hardest difficulty mode should be called "Everyone's a Jegan!" and you get weaker with each stage you clear.

Yeah, it would be a cop out if they skipped main characters (well, unless they're post FE6 games that don't have Marth in them. Maybe).
It'd be funny if both Hector and Lyn are in but Eliwood isn't because he'd be identical to Roy (as his Smash Bros popularity secures him a seat)
So the question would be: what ''minor'' characters would have the best shot at getting in? If there's a myrmiddon, I hope it's either Mia or Owain.

Isn't Lyn practically a myrmiddon already?

It is a valid concern, but considering Koei put in characters outside of OoT and TP(read: the "mainstream" popular ones), I'm fairly confident representation all around is a reasonable thought. otherwise the fanbase will get even more divided

Could incorporate some of her blade lord animations and bows to make her more unique.
I really don't think we're going to be dealing with much "Well, we already have ____, so ___ is out of the question." If we're going by Lord standards, we're going to have quite a few overlapping champs.
All that's important is that Chrom gets left out again.

If we go by patterns, where the most recent lord is benched for the crossover game, then Corrin will be the one getting left out.
I mean, he deserves it more.

I can't really call one example a pattern.

and it was really an original character

And ensue a Chromtastrophe?
Plot twist: the real villains of Warriors are Eliwood, Eirika, and Chrom, who have teamed up to take revenge for their exclusion from crossover franchises by awakening the ancient and terrible Sigurd.

Alm is there too but no one cares because he's fucking Alm.
Alm at least got to give people a cool class in FE:A without getting his design fucking assassinated like Eirika

Eirika worked really hard on that dress and she wants to look her best when she marries Ephraim.

Shouldn't he ride eternal and shiny first?
What if each generic mob on your side has an individual name and they all have perma-death, so by the end of the campaign your army has dwindled and you feel terrible for not doing more to help them?
Also you can make them all marry each other, of course.
it won't be authentic until the Blazing Sword characters can lay mines that result in mass enemy mind control
I want Rallyman to be in, but who am I kidding?
Tharja's glorious thicc thighs for fire emblem musou pls.:ninja:
It seems Fire Emblem Fates: Revelations might be coming to the Switch.
I said MIIIIIGHT.
Of course it will, they need every port they can get to bolster their line up.:ninja:
Still, pretty weird to not include Birthright and Conquest.
Would prefer a Path of Radiance + Radiant Dawn double port, but oh well.
Wait, I thought that was confirmed fake because it lists the year/release date/data of the 3DS versions?
Still, pretty weird to not include Birthright and Conquest.
Less so when you remember Revelations wasn't released by itself unlike Conquest and Birthright.
That and playing through all three….is not what any sane person should do.
playing fates for the story is an exercise in masochism

Small potatoes compared to trying to unlock every support….(almost there:ninja:).
