The only amusing part of the Diggle storyline was Optimus Primal being the bad guy.
It's okay, I'll wait.

I thought it was pretty basic Arrow episode.
! I don't like Felicity's new boyfriend. And I didn't care much about Diggle's storyline. Evil army officer has been done too many times already. But the new team has potential.
What is this trend where people with huge secrets date cops? Is this some sort of cheap thrill/tension they decide to use? At this point for both shows, the whole secret identity deal and all of its baggage is really silly. Especially how they keep the cast really small and they have little to 0 interaction with civilians. (The latter being a huge pet peeve since civilian connectivity is superhero writing 101)
Meh, Felicity is a hypocrite so what do you expect?
! Soooo…... Barry changing the timeline so Diggle has a son instead of daughter. Goodbye baby Sara, we hardly knew ye!
! I guess that explains the episode in Legends of Tomorrow last season with his son being the new Green Arrow in the future
! Supergirl episode 2:
! Good episode over all. I really liked this new Superman. He smiles, is kinda dorky & clumsy....and likeable.
! Now all we need is Bats on the TV and we're sorted for the Justice League almost....
To me so far Legends is the weakest of the 4 shows.
Right now Arrow is the strongest so far, followed by Supergirl, then Flash, and finally Legends.
Still very early in the season so far but so far so good.
! The Legends of Tomorrow premiere was really silly, even by Legends standards, but it was a lot of fun. Oliver in all his seriousness felt very out of place there.
! Really excited for Justice Society of America this week.
This week's Supergirl was ok, nothing too great but nothing too irksome either.
This week's Flash episode was clearly better than the past two weeks'. Even with hilarious moments of isolated dumb, themes were a lot tighter even if the climax wasn't really memorable.
Flash
! That. Was. Awesome! So many adorable Barry/Iris moments. Along with adorable Wally/Jesse moments. I really hope Jesse sticks around for the rest of the season, she's just great. Poor Wally though. Give the guy his powers!
Good episode, light on the metahuman plot but good character interactions all around.
Prediction time!
! I can't recall, did Barry tell Wally that he was a speedster in the other timeline? Either way, I'm calling it now: Wally's gonna have a moment of weakness and go to Alchemy to get his speed, and it'll have some consequences or some conflict-riddled side-effect.

! Barry definitely didn't tell Wally and I don't think he's told anyone outside of maybe Felicity, though Joe clearly inferred Wally was a speedster in Flashpoint.
! Wally going to Alchemy is extremely likely and worth at least a two-parter, maybe a mid-season finale. Dunno how far down the line Caitlin's reveal will be and if she'll try to let only a few people in on the secret.
The Flash S3E4
! This episode was pure fun. The Harrison Wells multiversity is amazing and the character interactions this episode are on point. Best episode if the season so far, easily.
! Two complaints are that Mirror Master is rather underwhelming and that Caitlyn is perennially stuck in the role of mansplainee. I get that this episode was heavier on tech and physics than her "specialties" but it's still a bit irritating. Neither of these things come anywhere close to ruining the episode though.
Flash
! The multiverse Wells was hilarious lmao. Apart from that the episode seemed quite the regular villain bashing stuff. I am interested in the potential of Alchemy. Since he can change a person to how he was in another universe, can he remove the power too? As in, let's say Barry wasn't the flash in another universe so could the Alchemy catch hold of the current earth's Flash and turn him into the other universe's Barry so that he ends up losing his power altogether?
! Btw the Flashpoint never really hurt any of the main characters but has in fact helped them increase their powers in all cases. Fair enough.
The way they got anther Wells was stupid. Yeah let's send out a message that there's a multiverse out there.
So you are with a group of friends for years who trust each other with their good and bad and then suddenly you decide to talk about your newly found problem (which incidentally is the sweet lil topic the group excels in) with your mom who wasn't even there in the picture all this while. Weird writing fellas weird writing
I really don't know what to make of this version of Wells. I think I might like him?
! So he's just an idea man and a novelist. Which can work, and I do like the idea of that angle, but I'd like to see more to get a full judgement, I guess. This looks more like an attempt of the creators just trying to keep the actor on board, but we'll see!

I have a feeling that its to teach the team to stop relying on him for guidence, since they did say they NEED Harrison Wells. But do they really? Its probably a stepping stone for everyone to get over themselves and actually have confidence in the work they've done despite the hardships and missteps. Cisco especially needs to get out of this gloomy funk they've written him into for some reason, because without him there's no moral compass this season. Who's the sidekick on the team now?
Yes they need Harrison Wells. More accurately, the show needs Harrison Wells, as was even lampshaded last episode. Deadpan snark is an essential part of any superhero team.
I also don't know how you're asking where the sidekick is when Wally is right there and has a subplot of getting powers.
Anyways, S3E5 was fun if not quite as good as the previous episode. I'm also convinced that Julian whathisface is actually Draco Malfoy's disowned squib older brother.
Flash
! So new Harrison Wells is not a scientist. That's an interesting dynamic. I wonder how long they can on with the new Wells every season. And they have a secret agenda. At least the crew is getting faster at fiding them and they get less dangerous every time.
! I am also liking Julian.
Supergirl
! A martian that lived on heart for 300 years. I'm going to consider the reason she chose black is to punish herself. Semms like Alex is a lesbian and that Kara is going to go out with a Daxamite.
! I am fairly enterntained in the way the handle the plot lately.
! Can't say I like the reporter guy. Cat was more enjoyable.
Legends
! Zombies.
! I like they are having fun with the time travel aspect rather than taking it as seriously as last season. Even the professor has lighten-up There was a bit of Drama about not changing the timeline in this episode but was to help the feels in this slavery based episode.

She wanted family more than the science. In such crisis I think it's understandle she would seek some familial support.
Okay so Legends of tomorrow…they have fully embraced the craziness and cheesiness and I love it.
2 words about tonight's episode....danger zone.
Flash:
! Savitar's design is superb, but I hoped for a non-speedster main villian this season.Still this being the Flash show it was expected.
Flash
! Speedster again? Normally I would be fine with it but they had my hopes up about doing something different this time.
! Shade was fairly boring.
! I'm happy the thing with Wally did not go full-blown drama and was resolved rapidly. Same thing with Caitlin's powers, now everyone knows. This is really going to be interesting.
! Savatar reminds me of the recent godspeed rather than Savatar.
! I love that Harrisson Wells but I love all Wells.
Supergirl
! So Kara's sister is gay. I just hope they don't make her character gravitate around that relationship from now on.
! The Guardian is here. The costume and Motocycle is cool. But not a fan of the let's hide our identity shtick. That's one of those silly thing supergirl avoided by quickly letting her 2 friends know.
! Not a fan on how they are forcing the whole hero thing on the Daxamite. People should be free of their choice.
! I wonder where that thing is going with the white martian. Overall a good episode although the villain was boring, we got the guardian and an intriguing ending.
The crossover is coming and I'm fairly exited for it.
Kevin Smith directed tonight's Flash episode, and damn it was a good one. I think it's my favorite episode of the season so far
! I don't know too much about Savitar except from reading Rebirth, so I'm interested on their take on him. It seemed like he was running through the speed force popping in and out of it throughout the city with Barry during his beatdown.
! I'm glad that it seems like the overall Killer Frost conflict is resolved now. I'm sure it'll pop up again a few times considering they made pretty clear that the powers themselves are causing her to react they way she did, but I'm interested to see where her character will go now after seeing her in action. I loved when she stabbed Barry in the specific part of the leg that she knew would take him time to heal. It shows a big contrast between Caitlin and the Earth 2 Killer Frost who was simply making walls or stabbing to kill. And then we got the famous ice-kiss too!
! And then Julian was a slytherin. With a philosopher stone.
SUPERGIRL
! Really not a fan of that episode. It had his nice moments what was mostly everything I feared when CW took the show + other things.
! Really liked how the Daxamite almost managed to escape. The plan was simple but the execution on how he used his powers was pretty great. On the other Fuck the CW for putting a romantic subplot on them. Who the hell told them they were good it? The guy has a sweet personality and approach to earth's culture, let us enjoy that rather than once again putting every main cast in a love turmoil.
! My guts tell me the thing he wanted to tell Kara is about Doomsday. Just a gut feeling.
! I like the drama with Hank and Meagan. Considering the shit he went through I think they handled the confrontation really well. The ending is also interesting and one original spin on racism. Rather than eradication transform them onto the superior version and liberate them of their primitive state. I wonder if Hitler would have gone for it. Anyway it adds great drama to the whole thing.
! Why the hell is cyborg-superman not a superman copy? That's the freaking reason why he is called cyborg superman. If you don't want one make a cyborg-Kara or call it cyborg Hank. But don't freaking call it cyborg superman if it's not a superman goddammit. I mostly don't care about fidelity to comics but this name just doesn't make any since. It's basically a metallo from Hank that they named cyborg Supeman. Why the hell is that is freaking name. Whyyyyyy?
! Guardian has some sweet move and is doing a pretty good job as a superhero(I wonder where he got trained?) His cooperation with Wynn is going pretty well. It is a pretty good duo. Then Wynn goes and reveal his secret to Alex and I am once again annoyed. CBS made a brilliant move by avoiding this whole secret identity to loved one crap but for some reason the CW decided it absolutely needed and suddenly Olsen and Wynn are keeping it secret from Kara. it's just dumb.
! And definitely my biggest problem is what they are doing to Alex. They are transforming a kickass character into one of their puppet for love drama and that's just aweful. And that makes two love drama.
! The CW has somewhat improved on what Supergirl was bu when the show was given to them there was 2 gifts: No asecret identity crap and clear relationship that were on good places. They shitted on both, and I hate that.
FLASH
! That episode was awesome. Best of the season by far
! Can't say I care much for Savitar. Would have preferred a non-speedster villain. Although I will say for a moment I thought he was running around the world which would have been pretty awesome. He really reminds me of godspeed. Anyway HR is as awesome as always.
! It is what the season should have been like after the flashpoint. Real drama from real consequences of the flashpoint.
! Kate was on point this episode. She pushed the buttons that hurt and made pretty entertaining usage of his power. For example I loved that icepick she grew out of her finger. That fight she had with Cisco was promising for things to come and when she is talking in that cell she just have that great tone and sarcasm that makes me pretty happy for the future appearance of Killer Frost at her full glory.
! She also made a Killer job(pun intended) at making clear that everything wasn't right and calling out that I'm sorry is not enough to fix things.
! Joe is somewhat becoming more useful which I also like. He is pretty much the voice of reason and that's a good thing. Plus his relation with HR is growing and that's an interesting path for the character. On a similar not Iris role as moral support his beginning to shine more. It's the first time where I genuinely felt she give Barry what he needed when he needed it.
! The confrontation at the hospital was a good one to. It is true that Barry isn't really fit for law enforcement anymore considering how he lets feelings take precedence over the rules.
! Wally is officially a speedster. Slower than Barry but he has some time to catch up and maybe surpass. The important thing is now we have 2 regular speedster on this world.
! Sadly the episode was not perfect since as we've seen Jullian is Alchemy. Although it doesn't seem like calling him villain or victim will be that simple.
One cool thing that should happen in the last season of Flash would be him and reverse flash fighting in that room around his mom and telling his younger to not save her(like we saw at the end of season 1) showing that way how much he has grown.
How are people feeling about the 4 episode (3 episode really as Supergitl'scepisode didn't have any significance) show/crossover event going on at the moment?
I liked it so far

Even though I knew in advance that Supergirl's tie-in would only be towards the end, it felt super forced in. In the Flash episode, Kara mentions the Dominators from her earth. So it's not like they had nothing to tie-in. Instead we got Cisco kinda-breaching a few times until the end. What bothers me though is then them putting the exact scene in the Flash. Why bother calling it a 4 night event if it's really a 3 night event with 2 minutes of footage from one night spilling onto a fourth.
The Flash episode was good though. I'm glad they addressed both Snart, and the future Barry's message from Legends. I wasn't a fan of the cheesy Felicity moments though that were extremely out of place. It felt like they shot the trailers for the special, and then said "yeah just use that stuff for all of Emily's scenes. Eh, had one with her and Carlos".
I'm super interested to see where this Stein plotline is going, if this is his daughter from Clarissa or another woman, and if this is the result of his own tampering with Time Travel, or a result of Flashpoint.
The talk between Oliver and Barry in the time vault was very nice scene. I love when these shows do take the time to actually discuss the previous seasons. While we, the audience, knows that Oliver has had a million times throughout the show he'd change with time travel if he could, but Barry doesn't know that. So seeing Oliver, the person who two seasons ago struggled to simply communicate to Felicity that he wasn't on the island for 5 years fully open up to Barry about his parents really shows his development.
Looks like we're getting a "For the Man Who Has Everything" adaptation of sorts for Oliver tonight for Arrow's 100th episode. So should be a good one.
As far as crossover events go it was pretty good in juggling a bunch of different plots. Kinda surprised no one mentioned Hawkgirl's absence, unless I'm forgetting some earlier communication. It made me wonder if maybe I should pick Legends of Tomorrow back up.
So we are 9 episodes in….and Arrow is still the best show of the CWTV shows again.
Arrow:
! Toward the end when Oliver is with that chick I noticed she had a vodka brand written in Russian. I'm thinking … this is not gonna end well. And she also has that picture of Oliver in Russia. Don't know her angle yet.

! Dolph Lungren's daughter?
! Dolph Lungren's daughter?
! It could be. I didn't believe they showed the vodka bottle on accident. Let's she she was his daughter, but she didn't know exactly who it was that messed with his father. Then she sees the picture of Oliver in Russia and puts a few pieces together.
! Could be a stretch. The picture will come into play nonetheless.

! Could be Prometheus's sister as well, or the daughter of another person that was on Oliver's list. That's about all I can think of.
I finally had time to watch all the fall finales so some thoughts:
! - Flash was good as usual. I'm not the biggest Savitar fan yet but the season is proceeding just nicely.
I finally had time to watch all the fall finales so some thoughts:
! - Oliver killing "Prometheus" and that whole sequence with the intermitting flashbacks was amazing if not very realistic. Surely the place would have been cleaned up in four years and even if not, the bodies should have decayed? Usually I hate lazy writing like this but this time it was probably worth it.
! Errr, those were new bodies. Prometheus laid them out the same way to imitate the night Oliver killed his father.
! I thought the bodies looked like they were the same people but ok, I double checked and at least one of them was clearly a different body in the present, so I guess that's what was intended.
! Still doesn't make very much sense but ah well, that's just nitpicking.
CW is renewing all 4 DC shows. Arrow, Flash, Legends of Tomorrow, and Supergirl.

I was a bit scared for a minute that Danny wouldn't be getting his mask at the end of Iron Fist's first season until I also noticed that Matt didn't have his suit.
Thank you for the post, Kai!

The trailer for IZombie Season 3 is out.
So…Victor Garber can sing...no he can SING.
They did the musical episode already!?
Welp, time to catch up with all the DC shows this weekend!
I watched the episode after having stopped at 3x1. It was a musical for the sake of being a musical. I guess that's mostly how that goes.
It would have been awesome to see Tom Felton doing a bit in the musical
Wow the last episode of Arrow is probably my favorite of the entire series. Reminded me of the "Oddesy" episode from Season 1. But damn, do I feel for Oliver.
If Arrow keeps on this pace, it MIGHT be the best season across all of the Arrowverse. If not, still Arrow has been amazing this year.

I thought the best was season 2?
I thought the best was season 2?
It is, but to me right now season 5 is on pace to eclipse it. Still about 6 episodes left I think, so there is still a chance it could fall flat but I don't think it will.
Arrow has really stepped up its game this season with a GREAT villain which pushed some interesting character development for Oliver. Even the flashbacks are interesting again.
Supergirl, Legends of Tomorrow, and The Flash are all also stepping up their games in the villain department and putting on entertaining shows. Well, Supergirl being the weakest in that department but, meh, it's also the weakest of the shows.
