@Alterpickle:
Also I did try mIRC but only the website shows the XDCC bots, and I have problems trying to get from ctcp fserves. So yep torrent is basically only way.
Sir Stupcarp proudly presents an idiots guide to using iroffer FServs!
First off, find an iroffer fserv which you want to download off of. To get the list of files it offers, you need to query it. Suppose the bots name was Sir-Stupcarp, and you wanted to query it for the list of files. To do so youd type:
/msg Sir-Stupcarp xdcc list
This will send you either a list of files, or a URL where the list of files is. To get a certain file, you need to study its packlist. A pack is a file or group of files that have been assigned a certain number. Suppose this would show up in the packlist:
#1 5x [1337 TB] Some Frickin Huge File.avi
To get this file, query the bot in this fashion:
/msg Sir-Stupcarp xdcc get 1
or
/msg Sir-Stupcarp xdcc send 1
On older iroffer servers, a # is required when GETting a pack.
Hope this helps.
