Hello, @Kaptayn:
this is a shame.
where do you put the shame on? On the fact that he made the tax fraud (evasion) or the fact that he is punished for that?

I can't and I won't judge Messi as a human being as I only see the talented footballer on TV. But generally speaking… Footballers earn way too much money anyway. If they then proceed to evade paying taxes (which would make them lose minimal amounts of their vast wealth) then those individuals should be ready for appropriate punishment.

Congrats to portugal, they played much better today than in previous games. Now I just hope germany wins tomorrow. :)

Oops! What were you saying before? Joking, finally a well played match and a victory in 90 minutes for my team. Onwards to lose against Germany!
I have a feeling today's match won't be easier for Germany than the last one … especially since we miss 3 players.
France also seems to be in good form. Man i'm anxious.
I had the Wales match recorded and was on my way home from work when of course someone spoiled the result for me. But I guess I'm more upset Wales lost :(
They still made it pretty far and Bale had to work really hard alone there without Ramsey. :)
Wow. I'm fricking impressed. I never though France would be able to do it. At least not "this easy"! Amazing match from them and amazing match from my man Griezmann! Let's see if he avenges the UCL final against Ronaldo and Pepe or if they beat him again! He's a serious contender for the Ballon d'Or right now!
My brother was incredibly happy with this game lol
(Griezmann is the captain of his fantasy team)
Congrats France, loving this streak of scoring at least 2 goals per match.
Do it one more time and you might just win this thing! :D
Well … Germany pretty much gave them their goals. But they also couldn't score themselves, so ... yeah. Stupid mistakes but what can you do ... that's football.
What a bummer. I hope Ronaldo and his boys are gonna mop france and leave the french fans crying in the stadium. Do I sound bitter? Damn right I am, lol. xDSeriously though I am definitely on portugals side, even if they didnt play consistently good throughout. Just like that team more for some reason.
Griezmann is a beast, and he continues proving it. The lad was all over the place, raising Hell for Germany's defense.
He just pushed the ball… Everyone likes him because he's handsome......
The true final was Italy-Germany.
Todays the day. Who do you want to win? I am on portugals side. ;)
France will take this one home. Or rather, keep the trophy right there.
3rd place in group phase, close games in the finals, more often than not tying after 90 minutes or even 120 and all of this in the "easy" half of the bracket? Yeah, I'm cheering for France. They actually won games.

Except, that Portugal played against some decent to good teams, when France played really terrible teams. Even against Germany, they only played half of it, but I agree, they will keep the trophy there. It ain't going anywhere.
I said France would win the tournament before it even started. If we win tonight, I'm getting so much money…

Iceland, Austria, Hungary for Portugal, Romania, Albania and Switzerland for France. Croatia, who beat Spain, Poland, who drew Germany and Wales, who beat Belgium for Portugal; Ireland, Iceland and Germany for France. Not that different of a road, except for Germany in France's semi-final. And don't forget how lucky France was in the first 2 matches of the group stage, winning with goals in stoppage time or almost as late out of the blue and drawing "on purpose" against Switzerland, while Portugal had some pretty bad luck in the 3 matches. Sometimes, things aren't as straightforward as they seem to be. But yeah, France is favourite, I'm not kidding myself. Only something short of a miracle will get the trophy to Portugal.
Well Payet just had to take Ronaldo out this early didn't he? What a bummer. At least still 0:0.

Well their luck streak still continues as strong as ever. Half Germany was out and the only one who was decent had to go out because of injury, and this extraordinary injury on Ronaldo. On the French TV, the commentators were laughing at Ronaldo, they were saying he was doing his acting again, obviously, they were wrong.
This match is really getting tense. GO FRANCE!!
Awful match after the first half (in which at least France was playing actual football). Utterly atrocious. Not even going to bother with the rest of the game and going to bed now. Also, poor CR7. Edit: Of course Portugal scores mere seconds after writing this :P Completely undeserved, but that's just how it is sometimes.
Yaaaaaaaaas! Portugal wins their first euro, germany gets their justice and france cries. All is good. ;)Now you are just being salty Pennywise. How was Eders goal not pure skill? It was deserving. Portugal played well.
As a non-French Lille fan, I'm proper worried about how Eder is going to get treated here.Congratulations Portugal :)
Honnestly, I did not give Portugal the slightest chance against France at home. I was wrong. Congrats to the winners.
Damn it…................
Congratz to Portugal…a weird tournament indeed, but many european championships were before^^
Ronaldo going out after 25 minutes seemed to seal France this title, but this time they weren´t able to score, even with many great chances.
Portugal did what they did all tournament and brought it home.
Kind of like Greece 12 years ago, while back then Portugal lost in their home tournament.
Sometimes football is weird^^
History repeats itself doesn't it? …fuck.
Every single match in the knockout phase I thought Portugal would lose, and every single time they proved me wrong, congrats to them.
ÉDEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEER! CHAMPIOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONS!!!!! F*** YEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!! Shove that arrogance up your arse, french!!! Finally! We've been deserving it for a long time!!!
Deschamps should pay with his job. His formation clearly didn't work against Germany, and he persisted with the same idiocy this match. Griezmann was clearly shattered in this match, he won't bail you out with his brilliance every single game. You have one of the best and most creative central midfielders in the world with you. Where do you play him? At the base of midfield, of course! When you have Matuidi in the same fucking team! And Kante sitting on the bench. You have a really good dribbler of the ball who can stretch play and you have a tiring opposing defence having dealt with Sissokho and Coman's runs all night and you wait until the last ten minutes of extra time, with the game already gone, to play him. Just what?Well done Portugal and well deserved! That image of Ronaldo lifting the trophy would be etched in my mind. A sure lock in for the Ballon D'Or this year?
Well at least they finally won it after the 2004 fiasco Couple of years back with the form Messi was in, I never thought Ronaldo would have a shot in winning the Balon d'or anytime but that's an amazing comeback

I'm not even salty, but I know a real bad game if I see one. And this one was definitely not finale-worthy. Eder's goal was a good one, yes, but that doesn't wipe away 108 minutes of bad, uncreative soccer from Portugal, in which they seemed to rely more on chance than on some sort of a plan or system. Though, I thought the entire tournament was shit, so don't mind me.
Well, congrats Portugal. You tried so many times and now you've made it. Your Rui Patricio played himself into my heart. Just a reminder, this game is supposed to be played within 90 minutes.
It's sad for France though. Awesome host, I really had fun with this tournament. They were even beating the world champion and then fuck up in the finale -.-
So judging by the reports from Italy seems Pogba will be coming to United for a World record transfer fee. Guess Woodward dream of breaking the World record transfer fee will come true.

A few years ago they let him go for free and will now be spending in excess of 100 million to get him back. Brilliant business strategy.
While I doubt anyone would question Pogba's talent, there is also no doubt about that sum being much too high. You pay that kind of money (in football anyway) for a proven player who's taken a league by storm and has made his mark on the big occasions (Euro 16 anyone?), not for a talented player who may or may not go on to become world-class.

Pogba already world class I do admit the fee is high. That's just the market these days. Are we really using International tournaments to determine a player quality? If so Messi and Ronaldo would be average players.

The same Messi who has led Argentina to numerous finals winning the golden boot, and the same ROnaldo who led Portugal to their first International trophy?
Real again with a last minute drawing goal against a fellow spanish team…and again defeating them in over time.
I'm a tad surprised that Mou hasn't got the balls to drop Rooroo who's by the way playing like he grew hoofs overnight while Mhiki is sitting on the bench, wondering why he left Dortm- aaand while I type Rooroo scores the 2-0 lol

Same he's pub standard these days.
Everyone in the pub was confused at first when the net rippled out of nowhere for Man U's third goal,
but then the camera panned to a celebrating Ibrahimovic and we all burst out in laughter.
Yep, business as normal for him. Just banging in them goals like it's nothing.
So far Mourinho's United aint too shabby. Pretty nice display yesterday actually.
Just finished watching the Barca game. Umtiti seems like a pretty good signing overall

With all due respect, it was only against Betis. And the score sheet reflected that assertion of mine.
However, I do agree that what we saw from him made for a promising start to his Barca career. Strong in the air, nasty when defending, and not afraid to dribble past an opponent or two.
On a related note- just how good was Barca's attack today? My god!

Yeah I'm already loving this team can only get better. Pogba looked class and that's without a pre-season he's gonna walk through midfields this season. Only downside is Rooney he was already out of his depth even more so now.

They let two goals past them so they really weren't that great in defense. However, Umtiti didn't seem like a pushover sort of defender and he took the liberty to venture up and down occasionally. Perhaps Enrique can carve him up to be a well balanced one soon enough
