What a shitty way to create drama.

Well, bye Buckteeth.
Well, I didn't expect for things to excalate to Kanki vs Hi Shin unit, but now that we know reason behind Kankis decision to retreat I wonder what reason there would be for them to make a move anymore since waiting for enemy to run out of supplies seems to be only option regardless of outcome of this conflict.
-
Killing civilians is meant to force them out of their fortification.
Really disliked Shin's behavior here. I mean, can't you take a fucking hint? There's a sword cutting into your comrade's neck right while you're bickering.

The logic of smoking the enemy out is fine, but in practice it goes against everything Shin has stood for. If he just let it happen, it would undermine him a character. I'm #teamshin

I'm not saying to just let it happen, I'm saying get out of this bad situation where one of your men is a hostage with a sword already cutting his neck and maybe argue somewhere more private later. Refusing to listen to what Bihei is saying and then just punching him in front of everyone is out of character even for a hothead like Shin.
Felt like an awfully contrived way to create drama inside the unit. Don't even see what's the purpose of it. Bihei is coming back eventually, anyway.

I felt like perhaps Shin understood this was the easiest way to defuse the situation.
-
This entire thing is beyond s h i t right now…
I bet shin will join forces with the hill huggers and fight against kanki or something...Meh.... totally meh....
-
I don't like the situation,but i trust the author.
-
Shouldn't this be out now or was there a break this week?
-
Spoilers are out, scanlations are slow tho

According to the 479 spoilers, it seems like there's going to be a break next week (well, after that chapter). Chapter's just "late" I guess.
-
I suspect Bihei will make it back in no time. I wouldn't be surprised if this was all part of a bigger plan.
-
Redemption songs time for Bihei.
My hope is he's gonna do something in battle to totally redeem himself. He acts like he's normal, but to survive that many battles, have your brother die in front of you. Maybe he'll come through again for Shin.
Just don't get killed off too, could easily see it with this series.
-
I better catch up to this series, last chapter I read was when Yuan did something useful.
How is the war going at the moment? Is Xin still an annoying asshole? Has Huan Ji entered the battle? -
Does anyone remember the quote from Ouki about fighting/crawling around on your belly?

Wikia page doesn't list it under notable quotes.
Shin's and Kyoukai's rage seems a little… artificial. They are overreacting without trying to find out all the details. Wouldn't it be fair to listen to Bihei in private, instead of settling the matter in front of Kankii's men, after all these years he's been a part of the unit?
On the other hand, don't see what they would try to achieve by playing a game without Bihei knowing anything about it.
Unless Ten surmised beforehand that Kanki's soldier exchange is meant to sow internal conflict inside the units. Maybe he's not only trying to win, but trying to win in a way that makes him look like MVP. I wouldn't be surprised he's actually fighting on multiple fronts like that. As a former bandit, he must have constantly been in danger of being replaced by someone ambitious enough. Even if he's (probably) out of such danger now, I think it would be embarrassment to him if Shin did more for victory than him, an actual General leading the campaign.
But I still can't see what making him think Bihei is out could accomplish. Maybe some things are hidden from us.

Did Kanki done what I think he done it?http://www.mangapanda.com/kingdom/480
-
Yep it is as you suspected
-
Maybe this will be Shins ultimate downfall as a general. There's an underlying strategy here that Kanki is using. He had an original plan, ruined by Shin not reaching the hill and going off course, and he is now improvising. Only way to take the hill is luring them off of it and it's more likely native fighters will go home to protect/avenge there families. Plus, the Spider isnt there, the only influencing factor of staying on the hill. There's a method to the madness. He realizes this is war and uses the entire field. Plus his men and he are ruthless, and I'm sure he uses a rewards based system. They'd likely would raped and pillaged regardless

Qin spending all these years in trying to unify China and how they end as a state is just hilarious. @sabret00the:

Mandarin spellings is the only correct way for a series set in the warring state period. Shin comes off as a typical shonen character, too loud and annoying. The side characters such as the generals/politicians carry this series for me.

I love Shin. I like that he's a straight arrow. He's a lot like that famous speech by Luffy where he says he needs a crew because there's things he doesn't know how to do. Shin is the same.
I'm #TeamCantonese and subsequently #TeamJapanese BTW.

It's a shame that there isn't a series that I know that adapts the early formation of the Han dynasty (Chu- Han contention), after the collapse of the

ch 26 any episode agrees in anime?
-
Chapters like these reminds me again that this is actually Seinen series instead Shounen, its easy to forget because sometimes this series runs so much on run on mill shounen troupes but good thing there is Kanki who is all too ready to remind us brutalities of war.
-
Damn. I couldn't stop looking at it for like a minute.

I believe Kanki still has some major shit to pull off after this. Don't write him off just yet.
-
Wew lads, not pulling any punches. Also how the fuck do i spoiler now, AP changed the ui for posts and there is no spoiler option.

Normal vbulletin codes, so [ spoiler ] [ /spoiler ] without the spaces

I can guess what he is referring to but yeah, that comes somewhat later, so there are no hints really
-
Idk to me it looks way too predictable, his downfall I mean, he is presented in too much of a negative light for not go down really hard. And I am personally disappointed by it
-
Feels like forever since the last chapter. Glad this is all finally wrapped up.
-
slay me, kankiii

! Reeboku, go away!
http://bato.to/reader#e1d9b399c969de84_3 -
I wanted Maron not Naki
-
Shin got a strategist already, more people that can function as battlefield vice commanders are needed. Naki is perfect
-
Can't wait for a decisive battle between Kanki and Riboku. It should be one of highest peaks of this manga.
-
so what will kanki weakness be?
-
It's not whatever Riboku thinks it is. Which is why he'll be resoundingly beaten by Kanki. But Kanki's weakness is his greatest strength. That they're not an army and don't behave like one.
-

Well, here is the history(contains future spoiler):
! The war hinted in the last page,Kanki lost it to Riboku and managed to fled with handful of men. Most of his army were destroyed.
-
so what will kanki weakness be?
He relies too much on instinct and luck, instead of a carefully laid out strategy accounting for all possibilities, and he doesn't want/know how to draw all kinds people to him like Shin does. Actions like waiting and doing nothing for a day in Kokuyou, hoping that Kisui will abandon the hill to defend Rigan, having Shin miraculously slay Keisha; against a genius like Riboku, Kanki is outclassed.

Chapter 485 spoiler:
! Mouten asks Shin to get married,in front of Kyoukai and Ten.Shin didn't get promotion for killing Kanki's men.Saitaku,Riboku and king of Qi meet.

! Hmm. I assume Mouten is merely suggesting Shin should marry someone and not Mouten himself.
