Like I said in the e3 thread… its easy to make big worlds.... it's much harder to populate them and keep them interesting throughout.
That's one problem with open world RPGs making ever bigger maps. Be it Skyrim or Witcher 3 or Final Fantasy 15... at some point the sheer scale of it gets in the way of having a fully interesting map with coordinated planned events.
Having rng enemy encounters appear in the wild at random in endlessly repeating forests and fields gets old eventually... but it looks like Zelda is mixing up the terrains and keeping it pretty, at least.
