I dislike how The Hounds story pretty much amounts to a basic action movie revenge story.
He was close enough that he could hear the screams, but far enough that the others managed to get away in time. They had horses but come one!
@bepo:
can somebody help in filling in the gaps of my story. sansa is suspected of killing joffrey. she is "rescued"by litle finger who hides her in the veil. then little finger let her marry ramsey. or was little fingers help concealed from the rest of the world? wouldnt the fact that little finger and sansa worked together, be enough reason to supect little finger was behind the killing of jofrey? or didnt get any news from the north to kingslanding about the marriage?
Littlefinger kills Joffrey, which only Sansa knows about.
Littlefinger rescued Sansa, which none know about - save from the Vale.
Littlefinger gives Sansa over to the Boltons, and then proceeds to tell Cersei that Sansa has found her way to the North and is marrying Ramsay. Cersei then kind of gives him permission to retake the North, on his condition that he becomes Warden of the North, if I recall correctly.
So, no one of consequence really knows that Littlefinger and Sansa "worked" together. And I assume that Joffrey's murder is largely blamed on Tyrion, though I am unsure. And I mean outside of Cersei. How it went down in the play, at least, so. No one has any reason to suspect Littlefinger. Certainly not Cersei, who's an idiot.
By attacking the Bolton's he's sort of doing what he promised. Dunno what he meant to do with Sansa in that alternative future.
