Don't believe there is any truth to that statement. Plus Oda made it pretty obvious Akainu survived after his beating.

Did you miss the part where Sakazuki became the fleet admiral after the timeskip? Does that statement really seem even just a little bit true? C'mon… He introduces this big bad admiral in the war... but he actually planned to kill him after some 20 chapters. But then changes his mind and makes him super important? Wth...

This is obviously untrue. Akainus character represents the dark side of the Marines, he's the highest ranked asshole basically. Oda needed always to keep him on as a threat, and definitely making him the next Fleet Admiral after the skip. To keep escalating the general threat against our heroes.
He's the LAST admiral who Oda could throw away. -
Off topic: but if you read the chapter and the one before, were Rayleigh is talking with the strawhats at the bar, We see Shanks telling Ray-san that Luffy said the same things that Roger did, and after Ray-san mentioned that he wouldn't say more than what Shanks had told him. What are these things, and I also checked chapter one to see what Luffy could've said, but the closest thing would be right before he got the hat

"Shanks….your arm!"
Shanks: "Captain Roger thought I had one arm when I joined. It was in my coat, he could only see one hand....kind of ironic when you think about it"

I always thought that 'those words' were "I'm going to be the King of Pirates!"
Looking back it could also be the "I'll find the world's biggest treasure" … more likely the pirate king line.

I think what is interesting is the fact that Roger made two trips. So I'm guessing that by the start of the second trip, he had recruited Shanks already. I just imagine that once Roger realized he needed to do another trip he made some sort of speech and saod something about the King of Pirates, in a similar manner Luffy did.

That goes along with what Luffy said to Sabo and Ace when they were on that cliff declaring their ambitions.

what is kuma's nikyu nikyu fruit based on exactly? is it a japanese folklore thing? because it's gimmick and powers are very weird.
oh and another question, why did hancock and her sisters keep the the hoof marks on their backs?
they're clearly ashamed of them, so why didn't they cover them up like how fisher tiger did with his crew. -

I haven't heard or read anything along those lines, seems to an idea straight from Oda himself, as far as I can tell.
oh and another question, why did hancock and her sisters keep the the hoof marks on their backs?
they're clearly ashamed of them, so why didn't they cover them up like how fisher tiger did with his crew.It seems that they were too ashamed to allow anybody to see the hoof marks at all, even to cover them up.
Spinning the tale about the sisters all having Gorgon's eyes on their backs achieved the same goal anyway.

they're clearly ashamed of them, so why didn't they cover them up like how fisher tiger did with his crew. The sun pirates symbol worked because everybody on the ship had them, whenever ex slave or not, thus obliterating the only way to recognise slaves… if they did simply cover the mark with another bigger one, they will still be left with 3 marks that people are gonna question where come from.
Also, probably none of them wanted to be marked again since it's on a good experience, telling lies seemed like a much simpler and painless solution

Really? Which SBS was it? The fact that I never knew what the name of the plan was back at Fishman Island kept bothering me.

It was Volume 67.
D: Hello, hello, my greetings to Odacchi!! When I was staring at the "lady who passes out tissues" in front of the station with perverted eyes, there was this whole thing about Jinbe's plan of turning Luffy into a hero!! So in the end, WHAT BECAME OF THAT PLAN NAME? P.N. God of manga
O: SOMETHING ISN'T RIGHT HERE.
The first half of this question JUST ISN'T RIGHT.Anyway, for the "plan name" that Jinbe seemed to be concerned about had several candidates such as these. "The Great Straw Hat Hero Plan", "I luvluv humans plan", and "The Fuck History Plan". Hmm, even with these ideas, I'm not too sure what would become of them. Maybe they didn't need a plan name after all?
-

Vol 67. The Great Straw Hat Hero Plan, I Love Love Humans Plan, and To Hell With History Plan.

please don't pause so much in your sentences, it's very jarring to read.
anyways, here's a question: why did kaido go through the trouble of sending his forces to fight whitebeard when he was going to marineford?
that wasn't a very smart strategic decision, why waste your forces when you can just let your enemy exhaust himself fighting the marines, then take your chances against him.
what makes it even a worse decision is that whitebeard died. all you had to do was just wait you fool. -

what makes it even a worse decision is that whitebeard died. all you had to do was just wait you fool. What you said he should have done is exactly what he did. He was on his way to Marineford to intervene in that battle, but Shanks interfered. The manga never said anything about Kaidou clashing with Whitebeard while the latter was on his way.
I don't think he just wanted Whitebeard dead, but he wanted to be a part of the conflict to amuse himself.

helmsman, lifeguard, fisherman, fishman karate master and whale transport he can do all of them and can do the last ones better than anyone on the crew plus he is a strong fighter as well so he does not need a important position like nami has also he can call whales for help so he does not even need to jump in water to rescue devil fruit users that fall in the water or can use them to transport the straw hats to islands or enemy ships.
He already has a room on the ship waiting for him the fishtank lol.

what makes it even a worse decision is that whitebeard died. all you had to do was just wait you fool.It probably wasn't about that at all. Kaidou could have wanted one last crack at White Beard as Kaidou probably views him as someone who could help accomplish his dream of dying. That or Kaidou just wanted to ef things up and keep Newgate from rescuing Ace.
-
I think Oda has giving us enough hints, to know what is the Vinsmock family situation here and there. Do you think this is true? If it is, maybe we can predict what are the reveals of certain aspects of their story will be about.
-

kaido might also have wanted to die before whitebeard so he wanted to stop him going to marineford for that reason as well also like you said it would be a good way to piss whitebeard off so that he would fight seriously and might be able to kill kaido

brook's devil fruit confuses me tbh. it seems to make him immortal but not really?
he eat but does he need to? he's a damn skeleton with no internal organs at all, which also means no lungs so will he drown if he was submerged in water too?
i guess my question is: is brooks immortal? -

I imagine he'd die if Teach grabbed him and negated his DF power.

i guess my question is: is brooks immortal?Brook would probably drown if submerged in water. Though I'm not entirely sure how, Brook appears to exhibit the same bodily processes as living beings: he eats, drinks, poops, etc. I'm guessing we're just supposed to go along with it. Now the real question is whether or not he ages. If he doesn't die from some external factor, will he "live" forever? We don't really know if he has any signs of aging since he's a skeleton.

Not quite. He can do those things, but remember he spent 50 years on a boat alone. I doubt there would have been enough supplies to keep someone alive that long. Brook is basically a spirit anchored to his mortal remains. Though he has shown an ability to regenerate (notably while fighting Zeo) if he received a lot of damage all at once then he would probably move on. He's as vulnerable as any other DF user to water (and seastone) so presumably instead of instantly killing him he just wouldn't be able to stop his physical form from eroding to the point where his link to it was broken. I'd guess that he will stay 'alive' indefinitely until that happens.
-
How about this? If Brook is touched by sea stone then he will lose energy until his soul slips out of him and is forced back into the Underworld. If the sea stone is released, so is the soul, and it can look for Brook again. But in the mean time, any enemy can go ham on him and if his bones are cracked enough (irreperable damage), he will die before he can get back to his body.

I think you're probably right; I didn't consider that he spent 50 years by himself (likely without supplies). Maybe as long as Brook's soul exists he is "alive?" I wonder how the soul would "die" - I'm guessing if the actual soul part is submerged he'd die/go back to the underworld (or be indefinitely immobilized). Which brings up an interesting issue: can his soul inhabit another physical form? Maybe he could somehow detach from his skeleton form and take over something else.

- Who knows the future/ending of the series besides Oda and his editors? 2) The only possible way to know the further story is by waiting for the next chapters to release, right? 3) The fact that there are: Breaks. Chapters which are like "filler" that don't contribute to the overall plot of the series. We have a single chapter per week. These 3 facts make the series to progress very slowly. Can't the series somehow go faster? 4) What day of the week do we have a new chapter online? What day is the same chapter released in Japan and in the digital VIZ version? 5) What are the requirements for the VIZ subscription?

- Who knows the future/ending of the series besides Oda and his editors?
There was a kid in Japan, Hinati Fujinami, who was diagnosed with cancer and his last wish was to know the ending of One Piece. Other than Oda and his editors, Fujinami knew and he took that with him to the clouds above.
- The only possible way to know the further story is by waiting for the next chapters to release, right?
Of course, but there are people here in AP Forums who analyze the story and events and can kinda predict what happens next. Sometimes they're right. Other times, not so much.
- The fact that there are: Breaks. Chapters which are like "filler" that don't contribute to the overall plot of the series. We have a single chapter per week. These 3 facts make the series to progress very slowly. Can't the series somehow go faster?
The breaks are for Oda since he isn't the healthiest guy on Earth, and its one chapter per week because it's a weekly shonen series. Sorry sonny, you're gonna have to wait patiently for new chapters like the rest of us. BTW, there's no such thing as "filler" in the manga because every event progresses the story in some way, in a small or large scale.
- What day of the week do we have a new chapter online? What day is the same chapter released in Japan and in the digital VIZ version? 5) What are the requirements for the VIZ subscription?
New chapters come out every Thursday. If I'm not mistaken, Japan time is about a day later than U.S. time (assuming you live in the U.S.) and VIZ releases One Piece chapters every Monday. I don't know about the VIZ subscription, sorry. I hope my answers helped you.

Are you seriously describing something that more or less comes out every week as too slow?
-
Oda should put out a chapter every day and never see his wife and child and continue smoking like a chimney and work himself into an early grave.
-
Yes. The series progresses too slowly. Are you saying that I'm wrong?
-
Bah. Those newbies chore boys sometimes…

Okay landlubber. A weekly chapter have about 20 pages and nothing more else. You can't just make the characters go to point A to point B as if they can teleport or something. And serioulsy…"filler"? Do you even know what that term means? You should be grateful that Oda never took a Hiatus no bigger than the 4 weeks before the timeskip.

you are that guy.
-
I think we need to inflict Berserk, Hunter X Hunter and D. Gray Man on him.
-
-
Just because the story is long doesn't mean it's slow; the whole point of One Piece is the epic feeling of adventure accomplished with such extensive world-building. IMO every arc in One Piece (minus Foxy) belongs. We can debate whether or not individual arcs progress too slowly but the series itself is proceeding just fine.

Seems likely. I mean, is there any other newspaper? http://www.mangapanda.com/one-piece/592/3

^Seeing that link, I always wondered what were the orders Doffy got. In particular the reasons. When Moria was questioning Mango, I always guessed that Gecko had outlived his usefulness, following his sloppy performance at the war and his defeat on Thriller. No evidence, but I wonder if the reasons were different from useful or not.
Options:
- to get his devil fruit power. Imagine shadow puppets with pacifistas as the vessels.
The idea came from that page with Mihawk, he is pondering on Moria's demise, considering that Moria was okay when he left. The Shichibukai system is bound to be abolished, I wonder if they will just reinstate each ones bounty or something more direct like summoning them and try to eliminate them.
