I'm not that surprised about OP considering Season Eight Voyage Two comes out right near the end of July, so I'd guess we'll get Voyage Three within the first 2 weeks of September

Also, it's awesome that Travis Willingham continues to play Ace even though he's completely moved on from anime. I know Mike's expressed his gratitude to him for doing so in the commentaries.

I remember back years ago I had doubts about if Travis Willingham was a good fit for Ace. For some reason he didn't feel right and I wasn't sure how he'd do during Marineford. I'm glad to know I can put that fear to rest, because it sounds like he's doing an awesome job.

I think he's moved on to games and western, more mainstream animation. Those are typically a lot more profitable, and he lives in LA where most of that work is done. Still, nice that he comes back to reprise roles like this!

I started One Piece in the dubbed version about 2 years ago and even when I caught up and started the original japanese version(which is awesome too), it couldn't quite fit in for me…..I've been generally watching the dubs online at crunchyroll but started buying DVD versions from season 7 voyage 3....still need to buy voyage 6 so could anyone suggest me a good site which is fast and economical as well....been buyin from amazon until now but they charge too much..

It mostly due that Rouge was trying to the keep the pregnancy a secret and was holding on the hardest that she can. Because pregnancy can take a lot out of a person.

Yup, Rouge's total pregnancy ends up being 20 months long (5 months pregnant at the time of Ace's father's death + 15 additional months after that). The WG was trying to hunt down her and her child by looking for babies born at the right time, so she pretty much forcibly held Ace inside of her for almost an entire extra year after she was due to keep them from being discovered. And no, it wasn't more justified than "sheer willpower," because something like that would almost certainly never work in real life. Do Not Try This At Home.

I did think it was weird that they did that back then. Even the way the line was delivered in that episode seemed kind of off, like they originally had it as "Dracule Mihawk" then changed it for…some reason...

I've been caught up in the manga for the past ten years. Only started watching the sub at the timeskip, though, so it's been quite a few years since I read Marineford. Entirely forgot this absurd plot point.

I always took Hawk-Eye as canon since it was in VIZ and Funi. This is new news to me-- is "Hawk-Eye" never actually in the Japanese version? I mean, I always thought it was Hawk-Eye Dracule Mihawk- the last two words there being his name and the first being similar to "Pirate Hunter" Zoro. I forget what those honorary titles are called.
