Is there a translation of the preview of the Jump in which Oda says the next enemy is a Yonkou, and that Jully is going to bring back Sanji?
Thja last page of the chapter points to Kaido being that Yonkou… but who knows.

Apoo going under Kaido because he doesn't want to die is pretty likely. Kidd not going under him because he's stubborn and like Luffy makes sense too. Now what about Hawkins and Killer. Smart dudes that don't want to get killed makes sense for both. But would Killer betray Kidd just to stay alive? Don't know enough about both of them to say much. But either way this could lead to Supernova showdown.
If this is true it seems some people keep ignoring Momo
About Kidd and co, they prolly fought Kaido there, but they got their ass kicked. The problem I have with Apoo being the only one joining Kaido is that if Kidd and co really fought him there, then the only way for them survive is to submit to him. If they don't Kaido would kill them right there on the spot.
So I think they all joined him in order to save their asses.
If this is true it seems some people keep ignoring Momo
Damn, I DID ignore him, haha.
If we go by what you say then Inu, Neko, Momo, Kin, Kan and Raizou are all going there. I don't think we should read into it too much.
Well, they're in the background, so…
What made me think that they may tag along is the fact that, apart from them, the Strawhats present in the cover are the ones that already said they're going to the wedding with Luffy. Besides, back when Luffy was talking to Pekoms, Carrot was excited about the whole thing. People were even talking about her coming along back then. That's why I think that might mean something.
Jack was never a big deal. The only Toriko-ish thing about it was that he was a road bump with a big number arbitrarily slapped on him.
Mr 3, Wapol or Foxy weren't "big deals" either. None of them were immediately discarded when they arrived on their respective islands because we needed to "get on with the story". Little Garden featured more tension than Zou, despite the latter featuring an attack from a 1billion bounty Yonkou commander.
I'm not saying all arcs need to be identical, or that you can't play with expectations. I just don't think an exposition-heavy arc with very little tension is that exciting, much like the instant capture and preparation of ANOTHER in Toriko.
That's not how Vivi explained it at all. They still have seasons, but just like in Sweden you are never going to have a really hot summertime, on drum you have different degrees of cold throughout the year

Even though the season is supposed to be summer, it still snows there, so there is really one weather and one dominant season if you will.

if we have to go by that panel with the leg behind bars, kid has been captured.
Also, he has way too much pride to serve under another, he has the scars and lack of an arm to prove that

one dominant season is correct, but it still changes season… in Alaska there are seasons too despite being generally a really cold place.. it's just different degrees of cold
of course from the point of view to someone closer to the equator, it's just winter and more winter

What legs behind bars? I see the bars(who could be those of the windows in the Shogun's castle) but no legs. Dunno if Kaido is the type to just let him go, why would he? He could just kill him, because he dared to face him. Without submitting Kidd cannot hope to stay alive, and Killer should try to convince him for his own good.
The bars could be those seen in Japanese castles' windows

Season is not the same thing as weather or climate. The weather may always be the same in Drum, but seasons are just periods of time of the year. My country is hot all year long but that doesn't mean it's always summer here.

Jesus, I was referring to the ones that ARE in the background. I just forgot to mention Momo in my first post, as someone else pointed out.

Alright, but it's still one season in terms of weather, you don't get a different one like our spring.
I think Wano will be just like the real world with 4 different seasons because of the sakura trees. It would be a shame not to have sakura trees blooming in the spring, because well it's supposed to be Japan.
That color spread is pretty epic. Momo can control the elephant just like Shirahoshi controls the sea kings. Awesome chapter.

Another was a major super important plot thread from ages past. Jack was a newly introduced speed bump. Jack's defeat makes sense and is personally karmically satisfying and he'll probably be coming back. Another is a food that…wanted to be eaten?
I get what you're saying and I'm not averse to the Strawhats going inside an elephant and fighting enzymes but emotionally there wouldn't have a lot of stakes in fighting an already battered Jack with Cake Island and Wano in view. Jack would have to kidnap Momo or someone to set up emotional stakes, there would be a whole song and dance where we would ultimately just end up at the same point.
Okay, adventure is fun but at this point, Oda should keep up the momentum and this way he does that while progressing several plot threads.
Besides, I personally enjoyed this mostly exposition arc because it was more interesting and felt like it was part of the plan opposed to Toriko which feels like bullshit Shima came up with on the spot. And it had fully fleshed out characters you care about. You could argue the broad strokes are the same but the execution and purpose is far superior.
Come on, give this arc more credit than that, it's not at Toriko level yet.

Maybe Kaido is like Whitebeard and wants Kidd as a son. Lol

there are already images that highlight and compare the leg.. as to convincing kid, it doesn't seem the type even in that case
On P9, last panel, I don't understand why the woman is sweating ? All the other guys are enjoying the violence made to the elephant but she seems nervous about it ?

Hawkins was most likely working for kaido as well and the black cat mink in hawkins crew is most likely how jack found zou also since Kaido does not like Shanks and Kidd wanting to take Shanks down the other two would have told Kaido that so he has a reason to keep kidd alive.
!
Question… Momo and Luffy both have Voice of all things... cool. But how is Zunisha communicating with them?
Is it possible that people as Zoro later on can communicate with Luffy even without having the voice of all things? Or how can Zunisha do it

Because Jack is a nutjob, and she prolly doesn't agree with him on everything. Or maybe she's a traitor.

Zou is such a great arc, IMO the best after time skipe. I really like this idea of a arc without taking down a big bad villain.
Jack will be back for sure, however I start thinking of him being defeated by someone who use strategy instead of power.
He is like a beast, strong as hell but stupid (attacking Zunisha, attacking Sengoku and Fujirota sheeps, putting his "angry" ahead of the reason).
About this conversation between Momo and Zunisha.
What Zunisha did to deserve such a heavy punishment? Maybe something related with Joyboy?
I really don't like the idea of Momo being Uranos, it will be to "equal" to Poseidon.
I choose to think that this is somethong related to Kozuki clan and their friendship with Minks (that are animals).
Is interesting to see supernovas allying with younkous.
I wonder if any of then will be under Black Beard power.
Maybe Kaido is like Whitebeard and wants Kidd as a son. Lol
Maybe Kidd is Kaido's biological son. Their names have a few letters in common too.
If Poseidon is a Mermaid and Uranos is a human, then I will be heavenly disappointed if Pluton is really just a ship.
What if Pluton is a ship but we meet and interact with it's klabautermann?
I'm on mobile right now, not easy.. just check the first pages of this thread, it should be around there
Ok thanks, will do.
It's on post number 55
I saw it, thanks.
Errr I'm not really convinced, it seems to me that the scene is zoomed out, and the light grey area in the left looks like a person standing. But that's just me having a different way to analyze and see things.
Also the bars are most likely those of the windows, he's not a prisoner. They look like they're made of wood, whereas if it was a cell they should be made of metal(kairoseki at that), and colored black.
So even if it's him he could still be free and not a prisoner, so it would still confirm the theory that he joined Kaido.

Yeah like I said I have the tendency to see things differently, and the shape is really not clear. I see the supposed fringes on his pants, but I don't see the rest of his legs, his boots so the shot is really not clear.
I agree, we'll just have to wait and see. Hopefully next chapter will resume right where this one left.^^

@Helter:
About that colorsperad… was Oda trying to tell us that Pedro and Carrot are joining the Wedding Crew (at least teporarily)?
Carrot already made clear she was interested in it and Pedro stealthiness was brought up not long ago, so yeah, I think he is. And that Momo is also going with them (which could be logical. It is not safe for him to be in Wano, although he could be left with the Neko and Inu).
@A:
Not sure if Zunisha fits the title of 'Ancient Weapon: Uranus'. Besides, he wouldn't be much different from what Shirahoshi (who is Poseidon) can do with Sea Kings; at least Pluton is a Battle Ship which affords some diversity.
Personally, I'm looking for Uranus to be some type of Bomb or Cannon or something similar.
i want it to be a df

I thought Momo was gonna hang out on Law's sub with the rest of the Samurai?
But still… one billion is too impressive.
Keep in mind that bounties don't measure a person's strength but instead how big of a threat that person is towards the WG. The greater a threat to the world, the bigger the bounty will be. What I'm curious about is how much trouble did Jack cause to reach 1 billion because according to Jinbei, once a bounty exceeds 300 million, it gets more difficult to raise it further up.
This is redons post in pirateking about the Jump's preview:
"La preview (de la Jump) sólo dice que el siguiente enemigo es un Yonkou (no especifican siquiera si se trata de Kaido o Big Mom) y que Luffy va a traer a Sanji de vuelta. No dice nada más."
Translation: "The Jump's preview only says the next enemy is a Yonkou (it doesn't say if it's Kaido or Big Mom), and that Luffy will bring back Sanji. It doesn's say anything else".
I guess the Oda's comment on Jump's preview is the blue panel here:

The roster on the color spread seems indeed strange, but it's way too big of a party for a stealth mission
I'm not even mad Jack(mammoth) got owned by Zunisha(ancient elephant). I just thought Luffy would fight him because of his Gear 3 Elephant moves and my speculated Gear 4 move GGnMDR. Maybe it will still happen? But…how would Jack and maybe the other Beast Pirates survive in the ocean? Aren't they all Devil Fruit users or SMILE Devil Fruit users?
*Jack the Drought may be able to drain water around him using his awakening powers. This could why 4 marine ships could not sink Jack and crew.
Now to address some quotes:
@CaptainAppleJack:
That Color Spread, man, so great.
And even if it seems that way now, I don't assume it's the last we see of Jack. The way Oda presented Ginrummy she at least will play some minor role still and it would be weird for her and Jack to actually die here.
Gin and Ginrummy are possible siblings? Gin may be at Tea Party. Ginrummy may get saved by Strawhats?
@Helter:
About that colorsperad… was Oda trying to tell us that Pedro and Carrot are joining the Wedding Crew (at least teporarily)?
Yes I believe so. Carrot and Pedro for sure. I also think Wanda and Sicilian may go.
Not sure about Momo going though. He should be protected by his Wano Retainers but they may trust Luffy to protect him. Kin'emon already stated he was going back to Wano. What about Kanjuro and Raizo?
@Mftlaw:
A member of kidd aliance is a mink, that black cat, he gave kaido secret how to found way to zou
Not sure a Minkmen would be disloyal to their race. Pekoms, a Big Mom Pirate, put his race above his duty to Big Mom to capturing Sanji. Maybe that Black Cat Minkmen in Hawkins group may be a Zoan user? Hawkins though seems choose "fate cards" based on odds…so he is either under Kaido or escaped to help Luffy.
@BlackLegEd:
Brook vs Apoo at Wano. Get hyped.
Yes to this, completely. Brook fighting a Supernova is something he needs.
@BlackLegEd:
Sheepshead taken out by Mouton Shot
Jack taken out by Zunisha
Kaido taken out by____________
Momo, the dragon.

- THAT. COLOR. SPREAD! (although I have to admit my second reaction to it was "god, no one will stand BeariousJones now -_-")
Lololololol:happy:
I've gotten soo much flak for bringing up Pedro as the next nakama but this color spread…
I'll be nice...for now.
I wonder if anyone will hop on the Pedro for nakama bandwagon. Any takers?

Bounty represents both the strength of that person and theri threat level.
In Jack's case, its pretty clear he's extremely powerful,he's 1 of Kaido's top 3 lieutenants and his extreme level of brutality being another factor..
And here I was hoping for a Jack vs Luffy, lol. The elephant one hit k.o.ed Jack, a one billion berry man. That was pretty funny, hahaha!
It was a complete surprise to see Appo working for Kaido. I wonder if this was before Kaido fell down on Kidd's island or after. Could be that Kidd is working for him (or with him?) now as well? I have a bit of a hard time imagining that, but who knows. Maybe they allied with Kaido as well to take down Shanks? That will give Luffy another reason to take down Kaido.
The most interesting thing here was that Momo's was able to somehow see through Zou's eyes AND recognize Jack. That is a pretty interesting feature of the Voice of All Creation.

I still can't see it. I mean, I think I am figuring out what this implies but is that really on today's picture? If this makes sense.
I do think there were better ways to end Jack in one chapter than almost 20 pages for an elephant to swing his trunk.
I feel like jack might get his ass handed to him by the elephant after all that
I mean you just don't attack a 1000 yrs old gigantic creature and expect to get away with it
haha spot on …
And here I was hoping for a Jack vs Luffy, lol. The elephant one hit k.o.ed Jack, a one billion berry man. That was pretty funny, hahaha!
Still, in Jack's defense it was a giant ancient elephant.
I don't know why I didn't consider a titan of an elephant counterattacking.
@Daz:
So after a villain finally appears in the arc, he gets anticlimatically defeated in an instant. And having ignored the potential for fun an adventure in an unique setting in favor of extensive exposition and setup, we're ready to leave.
Business as usual in Toriko.
Wait what
I still believe he would have worked perfect as a returning villain in Kaido arc. He even had the perfect excuse with having to recover from fighter 2 monsters and Tsuru.
This finish may have cemented Jack as a loser but I at least got a good laugh from it.
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
That elephant is way to loyal. When dudes are trying to destroy a civilization you like and related to your survival, you shouldn't need permission to defend yourself.
Well I wrote attempt not actually do it. And after Zoro vs Pica, power displays of that kind shouldn't be too out of the question.
I think you're dramatically misunderstanding the scale here: Zunisha's trunk completely dwarfs Pica's largest stone golem: it was roughly 1-2 km tall, while Zunisha's trunk is at least hundreds of meters across, and possibly approaching a diameter on par with the height of Pica's golem.
