Do you guys think we will get a little filler transition between the moment Luffy and Co leave and Zou arrival?
It would be a good opportunity to have a new opening i think, and so we can have so much spoil into it otl

I remember jungle P opening started with the filler donpachino family so it can be done with a filler now! with a filler at least we can have a better opening with less major spoil and funnier moment rather than what is going in the hard knock days one.
-
You know there's been way too much poorly-written padding when people are actually saying, "Please give us a filler arc!" (This is coming from someone who's been a fan of Naruto for many years, a fandom where filler is pretty much the bane of fans' existence). That being said, I agree with Sun_Chopper that episode pacing ≠ episode quality in all cases, and it's true, there have been some cases in Dressrosa where we get 20 pages mostly consisting of people running around screaming vs 13 pages of lots of important dialogue/events that can be easily expanded, and I've actually liked quite a few recent instances of padding that they've used.
Joking aside, though, I'd love to have a filler after Dressrosa. As far as we know,
! the Straw Hats + Law + Barto Club spent a week doing a whole lot of nothing on the way to Zou, so they could easily put something in there that makes sense and doesn't contradict the storyline. Maybe they could be attacked by someone else who wants revenge on them for putting Doflamingo out of business or something.

If only writers were that creative, I often wonder how is it possible, with a world so rich and complex that we keep getting the "little child" in trouble filler, o the giant girl… and I erased from my mind (like Zoro erased Kororo is a mermaid) the dude that made Luffy and Law PETS! I consume everything one piece but even I couln't stomach Luffy and Law being helpless with a lame enemy like that. Sames as with the Nevulandia special...
-
the Nevulandia special…
Oh god what the hell was that, it was so bad. Why did they waste all that time and money doing that when it could have just gone into the proper episodes. How did they make money with that?

Anyone watch this?

One Piece Episode 730 Preview
-
Oh boy, Crossword is so gonna make a Fairy Tail joke next week.
-
Not a bad episode, just good 'ol pacing issues as usual. Seems to differ from the manga a bit. My favorite part was Doflamingo looking like a demon at the end lol.
-
Ok, saw it, it was really slow at the beginning but still an okay episode. I guess they realize that the episode was okay that they decided to broadcast North Korea missile launch instead of this. I wonder if Toei can troll the North Korea airwave with this episode…....oh wait.
-
I liked the episode. Somehow it felt good to watch luffy not being able to get up while citizens around him run away, leaving him to his fate.
-
Objectively speaking, the pacing of this episode was really bad, and it's quite difficult to find an episode that had a worse pacing than #729 had, though we can still find some.
The pacing of #729 cannot hold a candle to the pacing that most episodes in Dressrosa had.
-
Maybe it's just my mood but I didn't like the episode at all. Save for some small things it was really boring
-
I'm actually surprised, I know this episode was slow, but I really enjoyed it. I mostly enjoyed the Sabo scenes, and Luffy calling Gyats "Cats". Oh and Sabo "Pets".
-
I liked this episode because it paid small homage to my all favorite character Ace, and now Burgess has been owned by both of Luffy's brothers
-
This part when the rocks randomly burst out looked so bad, mingo's colors dont even fit the environment

I could feel the pacing issues, but I liked most of the other things in this one.
Have to disagree with you about thjs being the worst though.
Luffy and Law spent entire episodes riding on that bull…

I wouldnt complain thats probably the most detailed the anime has ever been on a character that far away in the shot lol, but seriously doflamingo is super detailed, wonder if someone at toei did it for lols
-
I liked it. Had its ups and downs. The parts where Luffy was struggling, Doflamingo taking out the gladiators and Sabo vs Burgess were well done. However, there were some major dips in art quality, most noticeable immediately after the commercial break. Pacing was slow, but that was expected.
-
That's not detailed he looks terrible and out of place, like he's cut out from a different scene
-
What a slow episode.
-
didnt like it
is 10 minutes gonna be 3 episodes or two ? -
Horrible pacing as usual.
This episode contained so little. After 6 minutes of intro and recap we got
luffy being exhausted
Cats picking up luffy
Luffy explaining the 10 minutes thing
Pets and luffy running away
Doflamingo heals himself with reused animation
Redshirts trying to stall doflamingo
Burgess coming in
Sabo coming in
Another revelation
Sabo punching burgess once
Doflamingo destroyed Redshirts (just a shot, no fight)
Episode overNot one minute passed in continuity
When all is well and done i look forward to one years worth of filler.
Zou has been a fantastic arc so far, but it hurts when it is destroyed by that paddling. -

I didn't say that #729 was the worst, there were a few episodes that were worse than #729 for sure, only a few though.
However, speaking of those riding-on-the-bull episodes, the pacing of #685 and #688 was excellent, so was the direction. #686 was a bad episode and #686 and #729 had the same problem.

Sadly there were basic layout mistakes in the Sabo vs Burgess scenes.

Zou has been a fantastic arc so far, but it hurts when it is destroyed by that paddling.Excuse me but what do you mean by "as usual"? All the other episodes in this year (#725 - #728) had a decent pacing, so were most of the episodes in the whole Dressrosa Arc.
Of course there were still many episodes in this arc that had a bad pacing, but they cannot represent the whole Dressrosa Arc.

Ever since the time skip the anime has been horrible (okay, marineford was as horrible)
Fishman Island didn't want to end, I stopped watching the anime half way through Punk Hazard. I tried to rewatch dressrosa when that arc started for exactly 3 episodes, and I started rewatching the anime 2 months ago (after catching up via one pace) because my brother regularly tells me what happened in the previous episode.
I mean its more bearable now, when I just fast forward to the 6 minutes mark, but it's still horribly slow compared to previous arcs. I mean, I just compared this episode to the manga chapters it is based on and these were barely two half chapters. -

Believe it or not, the overall quality of Dressrosa Arc is much better than W7/EL without any doubt, not to mention MF and FI.
And you even didn't watch the whole arc. If you want to use the word "as usual", please at least watch all the episodes in this arc and previous ones in a legal way. One Pace is not the official release.

Did anyone notice that scene of Sabo kicking Burgess was done from the wrong location? He is runing towards Luffy and Gats? in his pov but when he kicks he appears behind Luffy and Gats for the kick like he was runing with them
-
Remember when we saw this scene like 26 weeks ago? How time flies….
!
-
Mostly bad art with the exception towards the end, obligatory pacing issues, and a lot of recapping. (I get why they have to recap so much but here it just feels so excessive).
But it's not exactly a bad episode, but it's far from good. At least to me that is.

I'm glad i wasn't alone thinking this episode was bad …
Having to rewatch the same Ace vs Blackbeard moment over again too, it ate times of the episode for nothing, the animation quality wasn't good at all to me
Well this isn't going well, i really want this arc to ends yet it seems they keep on getting longer and longer urgh. -

It was the Episode of Sabo special, hard to believe that the chapter this episode corresponds to was published on the 25th of May (ch. 787).
There was another brief scene in the Sabo special that teased a panel from chapter 794, published 18th July, and the special aired only one month later on the 22nd of August!
-
Not a bad episode, but Luffy spent far too long on the ground and the interaction after Sabo kicked Burgess felt kind of awkward
-
I'm suprised a whole chapter was used here, i thought for sure it was a half chapter episode
