@Green-Hair:
All I care about is fighters and stages, I could care less about Wii Fighter outfits. Still that price is pretty steep. Alas, I'm a sucker I'll probably get it anyway, my boy Roy is a must-have among others.
Well then, you've got two bundles hitting tomorrow that should cover what you want. So you can cover it in one fell swoop rather than having to hunt for the 6 prior collections.
About the Tier list and competitive stuff going on:
I'm still maining Mario and Falcon with Roy and Lucas as backups.
So it looks like I'm using an A Tier, C Tier, and two F Tiers mostly… Glad to know I'm not falling back on an S-Tier.
I have noticed however, that Sm4sh definitely has more competitive viability spread across all the "Tiers" than most other games. I feel like, unlike Melee where it's obvious S-Tier (Fox, Shiek, Falco, and Marth) has a grand Canyon sized distance between it and A-Tier (Jiggs, Peach) Sm4sh feels like the tiers are much closer.
I mean, I've been attending a lot of tournaments lately. The characters I've seen used in the final rounds of the last 4 I've been to were, in no particular order: Rosalina, Samus, King Dedede twice, Pacman, Mr. Game & Watch, Luigi, Shiek.
This may surprise you, but the Dedede player was the same guy both times, and he won both Finals I saw him in.
It's exciting that the Meta of the new game, plus of course the balance patches allow for such varied matches, vs your typical Melee stuff where it's the same 4 characters all the time. I mean, you occasionally get your HungryBox's Jiggs like situations where someone pulls out a bottom barrel character and does something new and amazing with them, but it's rare. You usually just get the 4...
Speaking of tournaments too, they're making me get WAY better! I had one a couple of weeks ago that was around 45 people total, I came in 3rd. Won a shirt for my trouble. Also, there's a huge monthly Smash Tournament happening locally here in AZ I'm gonna start attending in Feb.
