what is deadwood?
Deadwood is a classic HBO series that is a Western series that stars Timothy Olyphant (Justified). Also the series have appearance from many historical figures like Calamity Jane, Wild Bill Hickok, and Wyatt Earp.
Will it break Wolf of Wall Street's record of amounts of time fuck is said in a single movie?
Friend of mine was a fan of the series, so he sure likes to hear about this.
And now I feel really bad that I'm still only halfway through Season 1 of Deadwood after how many years? Sorry Deadwood faithful… Life just keeps getting in the way somehow. At least I can feel good knowing that I've seen every episode of The Wire, The Sopranos, Mad Men, Breaking Bad, The Shield, Lost, Oz and a couple of other great "modern classics" among American TV... Just not Deadwood somehow.
Well I guess the movie still won't be here for another year or two (possibly longer let's be honest) So... I might still have some time/hope. Maybe.

Might depend on the run time but… Very likely honestly... Actually one of my favorite bits of swearing in all of television (possibly all of media) was in the 1st episode of this show... Let's see if I can find it... Yeah! God bless the internet.
Yep, here it is. You only really start to hear Ellsworth go into his tirade after the 1 minute mark but… Holy crap that's a lot of swearing in the span of a few seconds. And yet... It somehow feels very fitting in a weird way. Like it didn't feel like it was written in just to be vulgar, it actually felt like it established the character somehow. And I'll sometimes just find myself quoting that line to myself for no real reason but just somehow parts of it just feel strangely inspirational to me... It's weird. I wonder if anybody else has ever been inspired by Deadwood at weird moments?
Also... Just because it's fun, here's the Honest Trailer for Wolf of Wall Street since somebody mentioned it. I actually like that movie, more or less (it's really overrated though) but all of the flaws they point out in it are very legitimate. Enjoy.
Anytime I hear the Honest Trailer guy's epic voice… And then I hear my comparatively pathetic voice I get a little bit sad I'm not going to lie.
When I first heard it I figured it was just another rumor, but now I'm pumped. I loved every bit of that show.
An excellent show, beyond hyped for this movie.

It's one of the best HBO series out there along with Band of Brothers, The Wire, True Detective S1, Treme, The corner, Show me a hero, Six Feet Under, Rome, The Wire and The Sopranos.
Also obligatory Lester/Bunk are the best cops in The Wire
