@DarthAsthma:
It's funny your description also fits perfectly how I felt about that well encounter(I don't think that there has been anything cheaper than that in all of the games). It's almost uncanny, probably the exact same people responsible for that and Laurence.
Haha yeah. I used the tried-and-trusted Shaman Dagger technique for those two.
…But it was still a close call because neither actually managed to kill the other by the time it wore off. Just awful.
The disparity with Laurence vs. the others was just nuts, though, for me.
! 5 deaths on Ludwig
1 death on Living Failures
0 deaths on Maria
2 deaths on Orphan
57 deaths on Laurence
! Like…huh?
@Foolio:
Am I the only one not really eager to buy the DLC? I mean it's 20 bucks for not really that much extra content and I know I'd just play through it once then never touch it again. All I really hear is about that spoiler-name boss being a pain. I guess part of my issue is I don't find the lore in Bloodborne interesting at all.
I feel the same way (care way more about Souls lore than BB lore, which feels like it's trying to be edgy and mysterious for the sake of it with aliens because why not) and the only reason I bought the DLC is because I specifically held off on going to NG+2/3 (to get final trophies) because I knew I wouldn't want DLC higher than NG+. Learned that lesson the hard way from DS2's otherwise excellent DLCs, which I forced myself to play in NG+5 or something ridiculous like that.
Honestly, it's not worth the $20, timewise. I put 120+ hours into vanilla Bloodborne (for $60) and maybe…10? 12? into this DLC. Not going to touch it again for a long while. As Darth mentioned, though, the new weapons are great (pizza wheel and squid transformation are especially fun), if you care about that ;)
